Stopped by this hidden neighborhood park on a Tuesday after a rainy morning to enjoy my lunch. After lunch I decided to check out the rec center and see what all the cars were about. To my surprise it was filled with artists. It seems the LAAG inhabits the rec building and Tuesday is open studio day so even non members are welcome. I purchased the coolest Cajun themed Christmas cards on sale for 10 cents each.
The park has a lot more to offer besides picnic tables and a rec room full of artists. It has a tennis court, basketball hoop, baseball field and a nice playground. I did notice a few low spots including one in the playground holding water after the rain but that’s just the ground in BR. The grounds were well maintained and there is a parking area.
