Cupcakes & Cream

When I went in I saw they had at least 20 or so different cupcakes to choose from written on their board so I got excited. Then I looked down at the case and they had almost nothing in it. The girl behind the counter said they sell out fast so you have to come early for there to be more of a selection. I understand they want their product to be fresh but what happens when you want dessert after dinner or a late snack? Do you have to plan that ahead of time? This was upsetting to me and hard to comprehend but I bought one of the last cupcakes anyway. It was strawberry with cream cheese icing. I could have definitely made the strawberry cake out of a box and it would taste just as good as theirs. However, I couldn’t have done the icing. There was more icing on the cupcake than i prefer but it did have a good taste (not too sweet), and who doesn’t like a little bit of sprinkles on top? It felt good to have a little unexpected crunch (I say this because the sprinkles were clear and I didn’t see them at first. Anyway, the place didn’t blow my mind. I would go back.

LOVED the cupcakes! They have an original and varying selection of delicious cupcakes. I like how they have a small and larger option. I tried the Samoa and yes it was just as amazing as the girl scout cookie it was modeled after. The cake itself was amazing and so was the chocolate filing and icing. The only downfall was the prices ($ 3/​cupcake +tax). Much better than Sweet WIshes on Perkins.

Definitely NOT the best-​tasting cupcakes in town. SO FAR FROM IT! Okay these cupcakes aren’t that bad, but compared to Cupcake Couture… well you can’t even compare it because Cupcake Couture is just that much better! They were very mediocre at best. I liked that the icing wasn’t overly sweet like other places, but the cake and flavor itself just wasn’t that great. I’ve tried a good bit of cupcake places and I know these will be very forgettable. The only thing I will remember are how large the cupcakes are! I got the minis in wedding cake, white chocolate raspberry, and red velvet, and a Large Samoa. The best was the wedding cake. The Samoa was disappointing. Barely tasted like a Samoa cookie. Wanna try a really good Samoa cupcake? Go to Kupcake Factory in New Orleans, and I promise you that theirs stomps on this one! Kupcake Factory’s tasted JUST like a Samoa cookie.
Being from New Orleans, I probably won’t be back here. They just weren’t that good.

Just got the Samoa cupcake, with toasted coconut and yellow cake. Very good
