My first straight edge shave. Great experienced barber and relaxing environment.
I’ve always wanted a straight edge shave… 20 years I’ve been buzz clipping my head. We’ll I stumbled onto this shop. Soon as I walked in, I knew I couldn’t pass up this opportunity after I watched Lawrence run a straight razor on the ol’ boy in the chair already.
This experience exceeded my expectation of what I thought a barber shop would be.
Hot towels, hot lather, and steady hands. The beard was no different. Lawrence finessed it bit by bit until it was exactly how I wanted it.
Professional and man pampered is the best way to describe it without my wife making fun of me.
Next time I’m thru. I’m stopping whether I need it or not.

This was my first time here and I’ll be coming back as well as referring friends. I gave him 4 instead of 5 stars because he could’ve done my fade a little better. He took a little too much off the top but both of these are my fault for not being more vocal with him from the start. Otherwise, he does a great job.

I have been getting my hair cut from Lawrence for about 12 years. If anyone wants to get a good haircut come see Lawrence. The LSU Student Union did him a favor by getting rid of him. He has a much bigger barbershop very clean has tv’s and in a great location.

Great experience, customer service was great. Had an oldschool vibe however I got a pompadour with a fade and hard part and when I got home and noticed the gaping gouge in my hair I was pretty pissed. My cut was maybe a little different then what the guy was use to though it’s a popular cut these days. Usually the line is a LOT thinner. I would have rather him tell me he doesn’t really do that then fuck it up. So I’ll be walking around looking like I had brain surgery.

I walked into Cutrone’s yesterday for the first time and was pretty impressed. I was a little hesitant to go, simply because I have had bad experiences walking into barbershops or salons that I was unfamiliar with. I decided to trust the online reviews and just go. I was in desperate need to get a haircut.
Cutrone’s has the feel of an old school barbershop. The chairs there are top notch and super comfortable. The straight razor shave and hot towel is an added bonus to this place.
Brandon cut my hair and trimmed my beard for me. He did a fantastic job! I was very pleased; and I can be fairly picky about my hair and beard.
They landed a new loyal customer yesterday, I will certainly be back.
I highly recommend Cutrone’s. I want to see this place stick around for a long time.

Found this place from Unilocal and Britton gave me a quite decent cut. He’s a gentle and courteous young man. Honestly the skill still has some room to improve but the overall experience was very positive.
Britton and Lawrence were previously doing the hair cuts at the student union at LSU. Best wishes for them at this new location.

I haven’t been to Lawrence’s new place, but I’ve been going to him since he first started at LSU. Great haircuts, old school straight razor and hot towel treatment, and good conversation. Excellent place if you appreciate the traditional barber shop. Glad he opened his own place so you don’t have to deal with campus traffic. Best of luck, Lawrence.
