We moved out to relocate and even that process was simple and pleasant! So from move-in to move-out, no complaints!

The Gates at Citiplace are really beautiful luxury apartment homes. They have lovely big bay windows with lots of natural sunlight. My view is really nice as I’m right across from the tennis court and I’m close to the swimming pool. They have a dog park, business center, fitness center, and snacks and coffee in the office. The apartment homes are in a very nice part of town and it’s pretty safe here. We’re right down the road from Town Center shopping area and Barnes&Noble and Citi Place. There is a lot of restaurants and shopping centers nearby. It’s truly a lovely atmosphere.

Maintenance and staff are friendly and complete thing right away. Living at the Gates is a pleasurable experience that I would recommend to any young professional or family living in Baton Rouge.

Living here has been fairly ok. The management is bad, but not the worst. I have had maintenance show up within a decent time frame of having called them. Major Drawbacks — There is NO after hours lockout facility. The only option is to pay a truckload of money to have a locksmith come and bail you out — or spend the night in a hotel. The pool is nice, and the workout center while minimal, is usually functional enough for me to get a workout at odd hours, which is next to impossible at the Y, lol! My Apt building is also super close to where the trash area is, and racoons are a major scare! I HATE coming home late, battling hiding racoons and clinging lizards on the walls. *shudder* Happy about being done with this place and Baton Rouge in general now. peace out people!

I agree the location is great. BUT there are a lot of other better places near by to live. This place is horrible, maintenance is not qualified to be keeping the apartments up and the poor management is no help. Things constantly break and you will be left to fix them or go without. For the price of the an apartment at this place there is no excuse for that. I had roaches in my apartment that I was forced to deal with because management ignored my requests to deal with the problem. Also my A/C did not work(thermostat didn’t work and it would turn on but not get cold even when set to 50 degrees), and the weather stripping on my front door was nonexistent(there was a gap between the door and the ground allowing bugs to come in freely). Between the A/C not working and the lack of weather stripping on the door, the extra power costs more than paid for the difference between the nicer apartments nearby. I read some reviews and figured all places get some bad reviews, don’t make the same mistake I did. STAYAWAY, trust me and the others you’ll be happy you did.

The location is perfect but the construction quality of the apartments in this complex is pretty bad. The management office is very poorly run. The only person who gets anything done is Mandy– and if she is on vacation or sick then you are in trouble if you have to deal with anyone else. It can be very frustrating. That said, the location can’t be beat and these are just rentals so the construction quality isn’t really a huge issue and the management office is just a minor annoyance. Perfectly fine place to stay.
