This is no lie the only and largest hobby store in the Baton Rouge area, however they have some of the worst service I have ever experienced. For example as I was explaining the things I needed and what they were used for to the guy in his mid 30s who was helping me just walked away for 5min, and then as I was waiting for him to help me check out he just went and sat down to play on his phone and online surf. Worst hobby/retail store I have ever been too. Will never come back. The only person willing to help and that was actually nice was the elderly lady who finally came to check me out.

We went in to price the TRAXXSS T– MAXX3.3 for my husband. Hands best fantastic customer service! The man behind the counter, I think the owner(has a slight stutter), was genuinely kind and pleasant to talk to. He really knew his product and was honest about issues that may arise. To be honest I was going to buy this car on Amazon but found that the salesman was just too wonderful, I wanted to keep my money local. I would go here again and again! If you are hobbyist of any kind– this is the place for you!

If you buy anything, pray you don’t have a factory defect or something wrong with it. They refuse to return, exchange, or even help you. If they do buy it back, you won’t get but about half your money back, even if you didn’t use the product. It seems that they don’t stand behind anything they sell.

Visited Hobby Towne for the first time today. WOW! It is incredible and brought back memories of my early teen years building models and driving remote control cars and planes. Floor-to-ceiling stacks of model kits of everything you can imagine — and then some.

Wow, this store is awesome! There are so many things that you can build(rockets, boats, planes, trains). I didn’t find it to be overpriced. The employees are friendly and very helpful. It’s a local run Baton Rouge shop. I believe I heard the older lady say that they’ve been there for 37 years. If you don’t want your children playing video games or watching tv like me, totally check them out and support a local business!
