The food was pretty good. I ordered the lunch special — chicken pasta. A little too creamy. Also had the crayfish beignetts. Flavorful but very cheesy.

Visited jasmines on the bayou on a friday all though the eatery is small the food over compensated for the size. The server, food and dessert were all fabulous. The pot roast was the absolute best i have ever had.

Great food and service. The burger is destination dining! My wife and I tell everyone we know about this hidden gem. They also cater and deliver. This place is something special!

Wow. We just left the French Quarter this morning and we happened to find this on Unilocal when we were passing through. Better food than anything we had in New Orleans. The rocket shrimp is fantastic, corn & crab bisque was creamy and amazing, Alfredo is fantastic, and my youngest had their spaghetti, which was also yummy. Nice people and incredible food. Don’t let the size of the place fool you, they can compete with any of the big restaurants in the Big Easy just fine.

This little hole in the wall joint is perfect for a secluded outing. The portions are huge and the food is very good. I ordered the boudin balls and chicken pasta. The boudin balls were pipping hot and just absolutely delicious. Now that pasta just had me at a lost for words. I love saucey food and it was just that. The chicken was moist which made it all so much better. Do not let the small presentation of the place not allow you to stop and give it a try. It’ll be well worth it!

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. We started with the stuffed crawfish beignets. They were lightly battered, cheesy, and a little greasy but they still had a good flavor. I ordered the Sebastian, which is a crab cake sandwich topped with green peppers, onions, and shrimp. The crab meat was shredded, not lump. I wanted to order a healthier side, not the fries that come with it, but that would have been an additional $ 2 although all sides are $ 3.95. The sandwich tasted like grease and I’m not exaggerating! Oh, and my sandwich was made incorrectly the first time, but the waiter was very apologetic. He was very friendly, but unfortunately the food did not match the service. My husband ordered the 3 meat combo. The chicken was dry. Usually when you cut into sausage, a little juice runs out. Not this time. The ribs were decent. The mac & cheese tastes like it’s made with a cheez whiz base, and the baked beans are from a can with A LOT of sugar added. You ever heard of candied yams? Well, they serve candied baked beans. We didn’t mind the Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce because we enjoy it. I’d give them another try, but I wouldn’t order anything fried. Maybe pasta.

Lots to love here. Very quiet and personable. I can’t figure why there isn’t a line out the door for this amazing selection of high quality southern food. And don’t leave without trying the signature bread pudding. Loved the Grilled shrimp Po Boy, the pasta jambalaya, the shrimp creole, the chicken and sausage gumbo, and the boudin balls.

My must have on Saturdays. I say Saturday because I work crazy hours during the weekday and Sundays they are closed. I pretty much try something new every trip and it makes my day. The killer part is that Jasmines carries it lunch specials throughout the weekend. Lunch prices for dinner portions. My type of party. The service is also great and fast.

I really like the food options on the menu. Went there on Friday and had one of their specials — Brisket. It was very good. Make sure to get there early because the seating is limited. I sometimes just order the food for pickup as many others do.

A family of 15 going back to Dallas from Gulf Shores and needed to stop to eat. We found Jasmines on bayou… omg!!! Every single thing we tried was soooo good! Not to mention the food came out fast, and anyone with 9 hungry kids know how important that is! I highly recommend anyone going through Baton Rouge to stop and try this place!!!

Good solid place to grab a bite… not out of this world special but very tasty all the same. What we ordered: * rocket shrimp– very good and great portion size. * blackened shrimp blt– simple but flavor and portion size were great. * shrimp Alfredo– run of the mill but seasoned well and great portion. * Caesar salad– tasty and dressing seemed homemade. * macaroni and cheese– a little gloppy but good flavor.

A small café but big on flavor and service. Food is great, will not disappoint. Had the shrimp poboy. Bread was light and shrimp were from US waters(gulf shrimp). Delicious. Also had the shrimp and corn soup and it was outstanding.

Every bite of my meal in this small café(hopping busy wIth call in catering orders) caused me to sigh with sheer bliss out loud… I had the«Sebastian» sandwich… a perfectly seasoned crab cake rich and crispy with shrimp, grilled peppers and cheese on a pillowy savory bun. The flavor was incredible… the texture was perfect. I elected to bring half home and try the bread pudding… I think it was a religious experience… all gigantic half pound of it, smothered in sinfully rich warn caramel… this is a place to go out of your way for, a must try.

I wanted to give this place a higher rating as I wanted to like it a lot more than I did. Our server was so darn cute, she was as sweet & Louisianian as one could get and she provided great attentive service, sadly the food was not as great as she was. My friend and I ordered the brisket spring rolls as an appetizer and they were cheesy and delicious. The plate and decorative bbq was presented really nicely and after that I was expecting some really delicious food. The spring rolls were followed by the corn and crab bisque which it said on the wall was award winning but sadly I’ve had better. I paired it with a shrimp po boy that was just a normal po boy. My friend ordered a shrimp pasta dish with a double side of macaroni and cheese. She enjoyed the shrimp pasta but two forkfuls in of macaroni and she said it was very mushy and they noodles were broken up so it was obviously overcooked. Neither of us finished our meals. The place was packed though so maybe this was just one off experience…

It was our first time to try Jasmines. My boyfriend and I ordered takeout. I ordered the pot roast with mashed potatoes and a side of macaroni and cheese. My boyfriend ordered the blackened catfish. We both loved our dishes! The prices are pretty reasonable. I will definitely keep this place on my list of places to eat when it’s one of those days that I just don’t feel like cooking. I can’t wait to try more from here.

Been going here since it opened and the food’s always good. My all time fav is the Rocket Shrimp, po boy or salad. I’d give it a 5 if they served beer but at least they don’t care if you bring your own! The only thing they need besides a beer license is more room cuz the demand is there.

This restaurant is shear perfection. You can taste heart and soul in every bite. And the quality of their products is undeniably amazing in every dish. The inside is small, a café style eatery, with outside seating too. It feels comfortable and personal. Their customer service, on every level, is excellent! And definitely not something you find anywhere. EVERYONEAROUNDSHOULDEXPERIENCETHISINCREDIBLEPLACE.

Awesome food. I had the Jasmine’s Trio. And very happy I did. Excellent taste without being overly spicey. I’m here visiting family and was so glad I found this place. Small, quaint, intimate and enjoyed sitting outside catching up with my big Brother Our waitress was also amazing. I am sorry I don’t remember her name. She checked on us regularly and made us feel comfortable and like family. I will be going back before we leave town

This is my new favorite place for Louisiana food. I had the Pasta Jambalaya with a side of Mac n Cheese & my boyfriend had the Hamburger Steak with a side of Red Beans & Rice. Both of our dishes were delicious! We went for lunch so we got the lunch specials(which stop at 3 pm… I think) so I assumed the portions were gonna be smaller or something but they were huge & even came with a salad & a side. The Pasta Jambalaya had tons of chicken and sausage in it, they definitely didn’t skimp on the meat. The Mac n Cheese was very cheesy and was seasoned very well. They have tons of stuff on their menu so I definitely plan on trying some of their other stuff.
