Dang! Haters gonna hate… This place isn’t THAT bad. I enjoy several of their buffet items. I don’t eat buffet sushi. Ever. I like sushi… when it’s made to order. I try to forget that Great Wall shut down because of health code violations… and that this is the same place, same people, same food but different name. I would hope that they cleaned up their act. Décor is new since Great Wall and seems a bit classier. I’ve only been here for lunch, which is less than $ 8. Not sure what the dinner spread is like.

The owner of this restaurant tries to fool his customers by again changing his name to now«Grand Asian Buffet», previously«Jing Du», and prior«Great Wall». Unfortunately the food has not improved but rather has gotten worse and the attitudes of the employees terrible. I researched the EATSAFELOUISIANA website, this place has more health violations than any other restaurant in Louisiana.

So terrible I really feel like the place is more of a scam than a restaurant. They have changed their name several times but never improved the food. It’s all cheap gross food left out way too long. It’s very hard to find anything you’d enjoy eating on the whole buffet. It’s currently called Grand Asian Buffet but both former restaurant names still print out on the receipts which makes me think that it’s still the same owner and management. Beware that all of the reviews here still describe the place perfectly. I feel sorry for the workers there, they should move on to a successful restaurant as that place has almost no business left. It was overpriced and nearly empty at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. This place wouldn’t be worth eating at if they only charged $ 2 for the buffet. Seriously I don’t know how you possibly make food that bad or even consider selling it.

There is almost nothing good to say about this place. The sushi is crap and most of the buffet taste like it’s striving for mediocrity. But Jingdu does have one redeeming quality. The $ 5 lunch takeout. You are given a medium size takeout box and allowed to fill it with as much as you like, as long as you can still close the box. Regardless of quality, this has got to be one of the best deals for a poor college student. The sesame chicken is actually alright, and a full box of it can feed you for a while. The décor is also a huge improvement from Great Wall.

It’s a bad version of the late Great Wall(former restaurant in this building). I couldn’t find one item that I liked, which is hard to do at a buffet.
