What a great place to ice skate with family and friends. «Leo’s offers an Olympic size ice rink and the largest roller skating floor in the country(according to USA Hockey Inline)», stated on Leo’s website. It is very clean considering the age of the establishment, the owner, Leo, is a very nice and pleasant man and the prices are reasonable. On Friday, January 8, 2016, I paid $ 11 for myself and $ 9 for my daughter who’s age is within the children discounted range. It would be nice to see healthier snacks and meals served at the concession stand and a reinvestment by the business to purchase new rental skates. Other than that the business is worth revisiting.

I love love love love this place. I really wish it was closer so I could go once a month. It’s a great deal for the money $ 12 for ice skating am for an unlimited amount of time. We have so much fun every time we go. It’s not new and shiny by any means but it’s an ice rink. What do you expect? They could use some new rental skates for sure which is why I docked them one star. Yes. The food is typically concession stand kid junk food but you don’t go here to eat you go to skate. They have tons of parking and take credit cards. They also have handy stacked crate things to help those who can’t skate and will never make you feel judged for being a sucky skater or falling. We’ve gone for five years and I finally stopped falling last year. They help you up with a smile and take care of you when you do. Good people good skating go for fun not fancy Tips: Make sure you check their hours online before you go. Go when they open or not long after if possible. It gets crowded as it gets later.

As the only ice skating rink in town, Leo’s is a great asset to the Baton Rouge area. However, the facility could use a serious face lift and new rental skates should be bought as many of them are very old and worn. Updating the inside by re-spraying the insulation, a fresh coat of paint on the walls, and expanding and freshening up the restrooms could make this place really shine. Also, the food options could be expanded a bit(currently it’s basic hot dogs, burgers, chips, etc.).
