Mod Salon

I’ve been a customer of Mod Salon for 3 years now and absolutely love them! The staff is fun and accommodating, and they’re always attentive to customer wants and needs. Erica is my stylist. She is talented and receptive to working me in if I have to reschedule. They also have a wide selection of products at reasonable prices. I don’t foresee any need to change salons any time in the future. I feel at home here and I’ve been to several other salons where that was not the case.

Came by on Tuesday, Sept 22 at 6:25pm under the impression that they were open until 7:30pm on Tuesdays as stated on their website and on Unilocal.Door was locked. Waste of a drive.

It’s always a little nerve-​wracking to bring a six year old anywhere with you, much less to a salon when they don’t need to get a haircut and you do.
Mod Salon was excellent and the women who worked there didn’t shy away from making sure any questions he had (and there were quite a few) were answered while I was getting my hair cut.
Jade was my stylist, and she is so personable and sweet it really makes you feel comfortable in the chair. I’m overly critical when I get my hair cut, but she and I talked about what I wanted and she did a great job (even introducing me to products I had no idea about: I’m looking at you thickening spray.) Overall I’m very pleased with the cut, although I did find one or two spots that I didn’t notice would be an issue until my hair grew out a bit. I don’t think this is a reflection on Jade, but I’ll be sure to address those spots with her next time I’m in so she can help me figure out if it’s the cut I chose or if we just need to change the length in those areas to get the desired result.
Overall I would definitely return, and I booked my next appointment while I was there (which I never do).

I had a wonderful experience here with Ashley and all of the staff at Mod Salon. I’m new to the area and was long-​overdue for a trim, and Ashley did a phenomenal job. All of the staff are friendly and the atmosphere of the salon is really relaxing. As long as I’m living in Baton Rouge, Mod Salon is the only place I’m trusting with my hair.

Being going to Erica for several years– she knows my hair so well. Then she starting doing my whole family– my husband’s hair and he is picky. Then my son she does his as well. Very professional, very knowledgeable.

I haven’t gotten my hair done here, but I stopped by for the Wanderlust pop up shop on November 4. I was so impressed with the display and the really unique selection of fashion from Abby as well as cute Mimosa Louisiana themes jewelry. Also, upon entering, the front desk girl/​stylist immediately welcomed me warmly and offered me something to drink and snack on. Love those little details! The lipstick shades at the front desk are to DIE for! The clients who were in the salon at the time were receiving their services and WOW their hair styles and colors looked pretty darned awesome! When I left, they have me a cute little coupon for 25% off a hair cut. Great customer service, ladies!

Excellent salon. I got an appointment at the last minute and the experience was top notch from the beginning to end. Excellent friendly stylists and they really go out of their way to make you happy with your cut and to out you at ease. Highly recommended

I LOVE Mod. Erica has been doing my hair for about six years. She and her staff are always wonderful to everyone that comes in and they are so great at what they do.
They are everything you want in a salon. I recommend them highly (as long as they don’t get so popular that I can’t get in!!!)

I went to Mod Salon after moving to BR– it seemed similar to my old salon after reading reviews. My haircut was good, but pretty standard– long layers with side bangs and a blowout. I got a lot of compliments on it. Based on other clients in the salon, it was obvious that Mod is the place to go for color– they do some amazing work from what I saw.

Erica has been cutting my hair for about 8 years or more I can’t remember that far back, but I have been her client before she had her own place. I can’t say enough about her and the Mod crew. They all make you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. It’s a great place to go. just try it yourself and you’ll see.

I’ve been going to Erica for over a year now based on the recommendation of a friend. I could not be happier. Everyone is so friendly and engaging. Erica has helped me transition from a short cut back into long hair and does an amazing job with my color. This is probably the most longterm relationship I’ve ever had with had a stylist and salon and I have zero plans to leave. They are professional and courteous while still making you feel comfortable and at ease. I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff and the space.

Ashley has been cutting and styling my boyfriend’s hair for about a year now, and she does an amazing job! He never really styled his hair before, and because his hair is curly, it can be a bit unruly. She not only gives him perfect haircuts for his hair type, but she did a wonderful job showing him how to style his hair and choose products. Ashley is also a wonderfully pleasant person, and she makes his time there fun and entertaining. The salon atmosphere is very hip and relaxing.

What a great experience! Ashley really took care of me! I had a cut and a shampoo and was greeted with a beer upon arrival! The care that she took in massaging the pressure points in my head and the hot towel treatment really made it a special experience! Thanks Ashley!
