Went with request for super easy cut for my daughter. They flat refused. It would have taken 5 minutes — basically cut straight across the back. I would have paid whatever they asked. I stated no shampoo, no blow dry — just cut across the back. I bought scissors and did it myself.

Everyone was very nice, but I’m not thrilled with my cut. The reason I gave 2 stars is because my hair turned out nothing like the pictures I showed Kim and she cut off a lot more length than I wanted her too. Before discussing length, she immediately got the scissors out and cut 4 inches off the length of my hair when all I wanted was a trim(I have long hair and like to keep it that way). I feel like she did what she wanted rather than what I wanted. When I go to a stylist, I want some control over what will be done with my hair. I should have specified the trims I’m comfortable with are 1– 1.5 inches off. I assumed since I showed pictures of LONG hair(and before she chopped mind I had long hair) she’d understand I wanted to keep it that way. Be very specific with what you want. I wish my hair still looked like it does in my profile pic. Not the end of the world, it’ll grow out. Cost:$ 55 for the cut. $ 149 for clip in extensions for my hair to look normal.

I posted on FB asking for recommendations of a hairdresser… I received MANY! But one stood out to me the most, and that was Sarah with Forum Salon. She was actually recommended to me by more than one person-which was a good thing, but what got me was the fact that she messaged me herself. I liked the excellent customer service in that. I’m so glad I went to Sarah. AMAZING results. She was so nice and friendly, she listened to me, and the end result was a wonderful new haircut. I lost count on the compliments I have received about my new haircut. :) I HIGHLY recommend Sarah. Great salon experience overall — including the front desk gals. They were friendly and warm… That’s a positive thing in my opinion since that’s first impression. Anyway, need a new style? Go see Sarah!

I became a forum client when I followed my stylist, Russell. I follow him every where, he’s been one of the only people to ever touch my hair. Y’all he’s a miracle worker, I don’t even have to communicate with him about what I want, he just gets it. I also have experience with Mary. If you’re in Baton Rouge and looking for a fantastic blowout, look no further. Book your appointment now, seriously, she’s the best, hands down.(even better than Russel, but don’t tell him I said that.) I love the atmosphere of this salon, the central location, and every one that I’ve met there. It’s a small place but the best things come in small packages, right?

Jason Ivey no longer works at this salon. I just found out today. Hopefully I will hear back from them about where he has relocated. He was that good.

While wandering around Baton Rouge, my boyfriend decided that he needed a «nice» haircut. He used to go to this place when he lived in Baton Rouge, so we decided to stop in. We walked right in without an appointment and they took him right away. A really nice man(I wish I could remember his name) gave my boyfriend his cut and it looked great and cost about $ 35. It was a full salon experience complete with cut, shampoo and style. The boyfriend was happy to pay a little more for a hair cut, as he usually just goes to Super Cuts or something. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and gave me a diet coke to sip as I waited. They also take women, so if you are in the area, check them out!
