Walk-On’s is the ultimate sports fan’s dream. There are dozens of televisions playing all the games you could possibly want. However, as a female who rarely watches sports, I’m not basing my review on the big screen TVs. I like this place even though I don’t watch sports very often. But, I love good bar food and beer. And this play has good bar food and beer. The appetizers are perfect for watching(or not watching) a game. With nachos, potato skins, fried pickles and chicken fingers, they got app game covered. But, the best part of my visit was the most delicious turkey burger I’ve ever had. And, I don’t mean for a bar. It was seriously delicious and wish I lived closer to Baton Rouge to order this more often.

Food was sub-par and the service was just ok. They let plates pile up and didn’t bus our table for far too long despite being relatively not busy. We sat at a table with taps and they were too lazy to bring us fresh mugs with every other beer. If you have another choice close by, go there for good service as this place doesn’t care about providing a good customer experience. Oh yeah, their toilet paper is like being at a concentration camp so forget about relieving yourself here cause you’ll end up with a torn butt hole!

The food was average — to be expected. I had etoufee, and the serving size was small compared to other local places, but it was good. My server overcharged the tip on my card by $ 2(I had left 18% based on subpar service). Not enough that it would be worth the pain to call and settle, and she probably knew that. Not recommending.

This place is obviously geared toward the male species but that doesn’t mean women can’t enjoy themselves here. Theres plenty of beer and liquor to choose from for most people. This doesn’t mean the bartenders know exactly what to do with the selection, so be prepared to coach them if necessary. The food is okay, but is more akin to «good bar food» at best. It is a great place to catch football games as there are many screens to watch your favorite team. Hotty Toddy! And it is in a convenient area for shopping so its a great place to dip out to when the shopping gets overwhelming.

Great place to watch a game. The food is average. Tons of beer to choose. The biggest turnoff is that the bartenders can be very snooty. Service was a little slow the last time we went. The waitress disappeared and we had to get the hostess to get our check.

I got the grilled shrimp wrap. It was pretty good. The hickory burger was humongous. I had to pull all the friend onion rings off(too fried) and they also made the burger too large to eat. I wish the server would’ve told us beforehand just how big this burger was because surely it could’ve been split.

Cold beer, girls in short skirts and sports. You know you want it. They got it. All of these things are here in abundance. TV’s are EVERYWHERE. The food is not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination. I’m glad to see that they’ve moved beyond the Chimes menu that they stole and called their own for so many years. I even saw that the Cajundilla was trademarked. That’s a good item. Boudin and assorted meats folded over into a quesadilla, served with Cajun ranch and red beans. The red beans were WAY too salty last time. They should go back to the aforementioned stolen Chimes recipe for that item(Chimes has best RB in town). As my friend Randy L. said, the late hours are a bonus. I’ll be back because they’re «Good for Groups» as the Unilocal app would ask, and they stay open late so we can take down some brews after a long night on the tennis court, but nothing else really draws me here.

It was ok. Nothing special. I got the stuffed burger which isn’t as exciting as it sounds. The beer taps at the booths are pretty cool. I had never seen that before. They don’t have buffalo wings which is my football watching go to.

Every bit as bad as their sister restaurant by LSU. I had the stuffed burger which had nothing in between the two pieces of ABSOLUTELYFLAVORLESS lukewarm meat. See the picture so you can see that there was literally nothing between the two pieces of meat. The barmaid Chastity, was so sweet and tried so hard and the kitchen just f***ed her sideways on the food. They are on their way to being out of business if the food continues to be this bad. Half-empty at the height of a Friday night dinner hour does not bode well in a plaza where there’s a tremendous amount of competition. The manager came by and was very sweet and very apologetic and did his best to make it right but it was just too far gone. Even the extra bacon I asked for on top of it was rockhard and had a very stale taste to it. Too bad it’s a pretty place and somebody went to a lot of trouble to make it attractive and inviting. They need to get a band and stop serving food and just be a bar. I was starving to death because I have a busy day I managed to eat about three bites of the burger and the stale tasting bacon but I started worrying about food poisoning and figured I better not eat any more of it. It wasn’t worth the calories or the risk as hungry as I was. However, to their credit the iced tea was good. As a matter fact it was the best part of the meal. My server, Chastity, could not have been any sweeter if she had been made of sugar.

I really like coming here and the location. Happy hour Monday-Friday 11−7pm and awesome reverse happy hour food & drink specials sun-thurs after 10, and $ 5 appetizers. Friendly servers as well. I come here often with friends and it’s always good. I love the salads and burgers. They also do $ 10 mimosa pitchers on Sundays. Tons of TV’s so a great place to watch games.

Great beer selection and atmosphere! Waited way too long for both rounds of drinks we ordered. Shouldn’t have to wait 15 minutes for drinks when the place is not busy. Would have been quicker to pick up our own drinks at the bar. Will not return to this location.

The Walk On’s brand is ever evolving and always improving. They just unveiled a new menu that includes a Monte Cristo wrap. It’s basically a club sandwich wrap, deep fried. The ONLY thing I would change is the dipping sauce. It needs a fruity or sweet sauce, not a mayo based zesty sauce. Walk On’s just does a great job catering to the demographic. They have a good local beer selection, plenty of tv’s, and a solid menu.

Good things for me about this location — stays open late; kitchen stays open late; servers are attractive in their uniforms. Bad things – costs a lot for beer and food is not as strong as I would like. I do hope this location makes it and keeps its hour as it is a good location for us to go to late for beer and food. Most recent visit was Thursday — we ordered 2 things we had not gotten before and both were better than expected — the cheeseburger sliders were tasty and the fried shrimp was large and fresh tasting. As always the beer was cold and thirst-quenching.

My wife and I were Town Center on an early Saturday afternoon, she was shopping and I was the driver. After a while we wanted something to eat, so we decided to stop in Walk-Ons for a light lunch. We were seated right away and were told we would have a trainee helping with service. I ordered the California Club while my wife got the Chicken Avocado sandwich. Both sandwiches were alright. Service was good, the drinks were topped off on a regular basis, and the crowd noise wasn’t too loud.

I had the Stuffed Hamburger. It was good, not great. I would try them again maybe something new. The fries were very good.

We all know what define’s this place. Whether you are a local, an avid sports enthusiast, or you watch countless hours of ESPN. So I will omit detailing the visual experience here. But what I want to say is how a Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad with a side of steamed broccoli and Grilled Chicken Plate lunch took one and a half hours to cook. My friend and I arrived at this location of Walk On’s at 11:30 am today. We spent most of the morning deciding where to go and analyzing the menu of various places before we selected Walk-On’s. When we arrived, we were seated immediately as there were very few folks there at that time. We promptly ordered our meals with our drinks(teas). I even said to our waitress, «oh, no I can’t possibly have a beer at our beer tap table today, even though I’ve been dying to sit at one of these for years, because we are at lunch and must return to work. My friend and I sat there and chatted as usual as the place filled up with customers. Food was coming out left and right, to those who arrived after us, and we were still waiting. I tried to make eye contact with our server to express our time restraint due to work. She never looked over. About an hour later she brings our food out. I was very disappointed with my salad. It hardly contained any chicken nor avocado. The other items in the salad were diced up so small they melted as I attempted to fork them. I basically paid $ 12 for a bowl of spring mix – oh and the broccoli was cold. My friend had no complaints on her dish other than the time it took to be served. She requested a box as soon as it landed on the table and told the server that we had to go – had to get back to work. I scarfed down all the meat I could find on mine and left a pile of greens. We spent another 10 minutes waiting on the bill and for her to run the card/bring change. I was standing up as she returned with my change. Dropped her a % and rolled out. Never again will we dine there for lunch. I want to go back for the beer tap table — $ 0.33−0.46 cents an ounce… Is it worth it

This place hasn’t disappointed me yet. The best food I’ve had at a sports bar. The Shrimp Po-Boy is amazing. You get A LOT of shrimp and they are all a good size; could barely close my sandwich. The batter they use is a little spicy which I like, but not overboard. The bread taste very fresh. I think the spinach dip is probably the best I’ve ever had.

If you have ever been to walkons then you know what you are getting into. If not then just know that the food is good and they have a full bar. The crowd here is older than the crowd at the walk ons by LSU but that’s to be expected.

Walk-On’s is wildly popular, but leaves a lot to be desired. I am frequently in Baton Rouge for business and always looking for a good, fast lunch spot. On my most recent trip a co-worker suggested Walk-On’s so off we went. I realized that I may have made a mistake when we walked in since there were at least 20 people milling about while waiting for a table. Our wait was quoted as 15 minutes so we decided to stick it out. While waiting I was able to scan the room and get a feel for the place. The lunch crowd seemed to be mostly business people with a few day drinking sports fans mixed in. I have to admit that I was a tad jealous of the guys hanging out drinking beer instead of working, but I figure I would rather keep my job. My day drinking day dream was interrupted by the flashing and vibrating of the hockey puck given to me by the hostess, so we headed to our table. Once there I realized that we had been given what was, quite possibly, the worst seat in the house. Our table was right outside of the kitchen and a service area so lots of traffic passed our table. You would think that would mean we would have received great service, but it did not. Our server had perfected the art of ignoring our table. She even was able to ignore us when she was talking to the table right next to us. So the wait and service kind of sucked, but they still ended up with three stars. How is that possible? Well, I am glad you asked. The food was actually pretty good. Don’t expect five star white table cloth dishes, but the food is solid. I ordered a grilled buffalo chicken wrap and it was better than I expected. The chicken was cooked properly and coated in a pretty good version of buffalo sauce. The wrap made it more neat than a sandwich would have been and that helped keep my shirt clean. Would I go back to Walk-On’s? Yes, but I will probably avoid it at lunch. The popularity of the place has affected service and I just don’t have the time to wait that long during lunch.

They did a good job giving it a better feel in there than the previous restaurant, Mugshots. The hostesses were a little overwhelmed when we were there last night. I wonder what it would’ve been like if it was a game day? We chose to sit on the patio. It was nice out there. We were told they had Abita Strawberry but when we got there, no. We started off with the cheese fries. They were good, but lacked cheese. Back in the day, those cheese fries were soaked in cheese. The chipotle ranch also seemed to be a little more spicy than usual. I had the Cobb salad. My dressing wasn’t brought with my salad, even though the waitress said it was already on there. My hubby said the boom boom shrimp po boy was good and very filling. I just think Walk Ons is a fun restaurant. It’s not necessarily somewhere I ever crave to go.
