If your used to going to a red lobster up north don’t expect the same portions or service down here! Unfortunately, they totally give you the smallest portions here. Gary the general manager will kindly accomadate you to make you happy the other managers seem to either be high or be #%*! Good luck finding lobster anywhere else in this state!

Walking in it seems like any red lobster, but when I was seated it took about 20min before we even got drinks ordered. It seemed like all the waiters and waitresses had never waited tables before and they certainly didn’t know how to work the POS system. I ordered the fried calamari with fried vegetables. It was awful and there was barely any calamari it was mostly broccoli. I wanted some ketchup for it which took about 10min to get. When I finally got to order my main corse, my dad and I ordered fish and chips. The French fries were the only good thing I got. It took about 5 min before if could get ketchup each time I asked for it I got a bout a tablespoon. The fish had some kind of weird oil coming out of it. It tasted so bad I didn’t eat much of it. If that wasn’t bad enough I got food poisoning. It lasted a couple days and I even had to go to the doctor because my stomach wasn’t right. The doctor said that food messed up something in the lining of my stomach. I do not recommend this place at all.

Truly the worst restaurant in Baton Rouge. I’ve attempted to eat here three times and incredibly each time it had no lobster! The one time I did dine here, the service was slow and the server was untrained. He had no idea what utensils to bring. I have actually complained to the home office to no effect. Please spare yourself this immersion in utter incompetence.

This was my third time to this location of Red Lobster and I will not come back. The last 2 times was OK especially with Mrs Kim service. I had Lobster Linguini at $ 21.99, pasta always over cooked a little bit, I accepted it as the lobster was good BUT this visit was really disappointed, only a couple pieces of Lobster Claw meats and the rest were crawfish meat. My husband shrimp was cold and the potato was under cooked. The place is dirty including the restroom, the waiter is slow… and nowhere can see him. The biscuit is always good and delicious but you can buy the mix in Walmart. It’s really sad because I really like fresh lobster, I rather cook at home when I want lobster.

I will keep this short and sweet. Waitress Mrs Kim was VERY nice & accomadating. She would get FIVE stars! Lobster dip was amazing I ordered then only thing I really eat there… something I had been craving for over a week… Bar Harbor Lobster Bake. Only to have a hair hanging from the curled lobster tail after I peeled it from its half shell… So the manager came over & said Oh wow Im sorry. I know all my staff have hair nets or caps on. I said well all it takes is one stray hair. So he saod he would take it off the bill. However it took our waitress 3 times to get him to correct it. I know it wasnt mine especially since it was stuck inside the curled tail. I prefer the location in Nola

Hooooooooooly mackerel does this place have some issues. The service was terrible. We waited FOREVER to get our drinks. It was making all of us very crabby. When our server finally got to us I already wanted to leave. Something was fishy about the whole experience. She gave us excuse after excuse. I wish she would have clammed up and got our food out. She continued to flounder through the whole meal. We didn’t get our tired looking salads until after we ate the rest of our food. She never really checked on us until it was too late. The biscuits and the crab dip were good but I wouldn’t come back to this location. Avoid.

This is a rant about poor service, settle in and get comfy. We came here because it was close to Best Buy where we were out shopping and the kids were hungry. My 9 year old daughter excitedly yelled out Red Lobster as her choice, and there we went. We got there around 3-ish, which isn’t peak eating time, so it wasn’t at all crowded. Our party of 5(y’all remember that show though? heh) 3 adults, 2 kids were seated in only a minute or two. We sat there for about 5 minutes and our server, who I THINK was named Denise, ran by our table(without stopping) and said something about being busy doing something else and she’d be «right back». Well, almost 10 mins after that, a different server came by and asked us if we had been greeted and had anyone gotten our drink orders. We said Uh sorta kinda but not really and she profusely apologized, introduced herself(her name is YaShiecka) and told us that she wasn’t our server but would be happy to take our orders. Which she did. When she returned with the drinks, still nothing from our server, so she took our food orders too. When YaShiecka returned with the rest of the drinks and those delicious Cheddar Bay biscuits, our server FINALLY had time for us… she stopped and thanked YaShiecka for her help in the phoniest speech I’ve ever witnessed in person, and said she had it from here. Well she didn’t. The whole table ran out of something to drink, and all but one ordered a drink plus water. She refilled my daughters lemonade with water and when she did, she spilled icewater on her. And then proceeded to blame it on the water pitcher. Food came out slow and she was no where to be found after we got food. So my daughter needed ketchup and we had to ask another lady to bring it out, which she did. Our server managed to bring out two more baskets of biscuits(unasked for) but we were eating at that point so one whole basket went to waste. The side salads came out at the end of the meal, and two of them had no salad dressing on them. We didn’t even bother saying anything at that point it wasn’t even worth it. So unfortunately they also went to waste. At the end she offered to clean the lil Red Lobster jars that are free to keep with the Lobster Punch drink and I suppose she thought that made up for her failed service. Negative. I left her a $ 2.00 tip. I personally handed a larger tip to YaShiecka for helping us when she didn’t have to, and my friends did the same thing. My son said she hurried to our table after we left to open the bill folios to see what kind of tip she got. Lol! Observations of other tables in our servers area showed an older couple highly pissed, the husband was just over it. The table behind us exclaimed«Yay food!» they’d been waiting so long. A quick note on the food: I only got appetizers: seafood stuff mushrooms(yuck) and the lobster cheese dip(pretty good). The kids had fried fish and shrimp, which u can’t mess that up if you tried, and they were satisfied. We were in Red Lobster for over two hours, which is ridiculous. Service should be up to par with those high prices on their menu. With all of the seafood restaurant options and options in general in Baton Rouge, I am shocked this place is still in business.

I prefer to go somewhere local but we had visitors in town and they insisted on red lobster, so I went along with it. The food isn’t bad, the biscuits are as good as people claim them to be, the service was nice and quick. However, their gumbo was a piss poor excuse of a meal, watery with no flavor. Everything else was pretty okay/standard. My mussels were plentiful and the flavor was mild. My dad enjoyed his salmon and my mom enjoyed her shrimp. So all in all, not bad, but if you’re in Louisiana… why go to a chain seafood restaurant? There’s so much better out there.

This location of Red Lobster was TERRIBLE! My husband and I went there on a Thursday afternoon at about 3:30pm. The place was empty. We expected good service. We were let down immediately. The waitress took our drink oder one minute after we were seated and it took her 15 minutes to bring us a Sprite and iced tea. My husband and I are usually slow to order, so we asked the waitress to give us a few minutes. 30 minutes later she comes to take our order. By that time we had been waiting 20 minutes to order sitting there with our menus closed. FORTY minutes later we get our food — the steak is overcooked(it is well done and we requested rare), the grilled lobster is so overdone, my husband had to pry it from the shell using a fork and knife. The baked potato was dry. The mashed potatoes were cold. Nothing was cooked well and the service was HORRIBLE. We are never going back there again. We recommend you don’t waste your money either. I suggest Joe’s Crab Shack. The food is great and the service is terrific.

It’s Red Lobster… I don’t expect a lot but every time I have gone… I remember why I never do. Super sloppy service. Our waiter clearly forgot part of our order… When questioned he spun us a story about how a bug had fallen in our soup.(As if that makes it any better). Just not the best experience.

If you go to Red Lobster in Baton Rouge, please ask to be seated in Yacsheka J’s area. You will not be disappointed. Yacsheka is attentive, informative and so genuine. She made our lunch experience wonderful. This was our first visit to any Red Lobster. After reading the online reviews we almost didn’t go. We were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the biscuits and had the lobster & artichoke dip as an appetizer. The dip was very good and served piping hot with fresh chips. Our salad was fresh and crispy with nice dressing. After the biscuits and appetizer for lunch we had the Admirals Feast and Seaside Shrimp Trio. Both were good. The food served was fresh, fried well, served hot and tasted good, not particularly seasoned but good. I did not expect it to be. We will return. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to because of the negative reviews and us almost not having our pleasant experience of today.

I took my wife to eat here during crab fest. It took an hour and a half to get the food and it was so cold and dry we sent it back. The second time it was hot but still dry. I asked for the manager who took his time getting to us. I spent about 120.00 with tip as our server was ok. The I finally left almost 2 and a half hours later on a Friday night We will never go back, Joe’s shack is still the quickest, best price and best service.

I have always wanted to come here and when I finally did, I was 100% let-down. Our waiter was very lively, but pushy and made very poor recommendations. I asked him about the lobster bisque, which he replied that some would say it was better than Ruth’s Chris. He asked me if I wanted to taste it, which I interpreted would be a small sample to determine if I wanted to order a cup/bowl. Unfortunately, that was not the case, he brought over a cup of soup immediately without confirming that I wanted to order it. So, I was out $ 6 within minutes of sitting down. The lobster bisque was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted. Texturally, it was goopy and the taste was sour. It was also cheese orange-colored. Not very appetizing. Then, our waiter recommended we try the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. We said we were mulling over getting the lobster spinach dip instead. Before we knew it, he left to put in that order without, again, confirming it with us. Luckily though, the dip was very good. But I was extremely annoyed that he would put in orders without our final say. My partner had the shrimp, lobster, and salmon entrée special while I opted for the stuffed mushrooms. The salmon was the worst-tasting piece of fish I have ever had. I had to spit that out in my napkin. The shrimp was overcooked and bland. The lobster was adequate. My stuffed mushrooms were delicious but I noticed the mushroom caps were half-sized. They were pretending I received 6 stuffed mushroom caps, but I received 6 halves of stuffed mushroom caps — essentially half the order I was supposed to receive. After complaining, we were comped for the shrimp/lobster/salmon entrée. But we should have been comped for the entire meal minus the dip. I will never come here again and I highly recommend you obtain seafood elsewhere.

The salad was wilted and the lobster a little overdone but I still enjoyed it. Always enjoy coming here. This is my 3rd time. The server is nice as always.

The food was awesome and our service was awesome. Don’t sit in the bar area because the bar tender had to work the bar, Answer the phone to take the takeout orders, and serve the guest who sit in the bar area. This is too much for one person. He handled it like a champ. He was slow at times but not because of effort… He was truly wearing many hats to serve people. I blame management, not him. His name is McKinley… Meanwhile, you have 3 hostesses and only one actually looks up and says anything. When we left, none of them said a word. Why not have one of them help McKinley? I stopped going to red lobster a while ago because the food wasn’t all that great. It has improved. I will come back again but warning… Next time I will ask to speak to a manger on the hostesses. They are the first people you meet at an establishment so they should be more welcoming. They weren’t rude but they just didn’t give a damn who walked in the door.

Being from Louisiana I find this to be the bottom of the barrel as far as good places to eat seafood. The biscuits are great though. Luckily I can buy them myself at Sam’s club.

When they say lobster and shrimp pasta they mean 1 piece of lobster and 2 shrimp and a huge plate of pasta, definitely not worth the 30 $ entrée

Very disappointing service and food quality. Server we had was very abrasive and made fun at my spouse for not ‘properly’ cracking the overcooked snow crab legs that were a part of our entrée. I would expect a chain restaurant like this to step up their game to retain patrons in this part of Louisiana. Wish we had gone to Don’s Seafood in Denham for our celebration. Just was craving those cheddar biscuits which(I must give credit where credit is due), were properly cooked and very delicious.
