I saw this chiropractor several times. All were bad visits. He owns a Macaw bird in a cage that is sitting just inches away from where you have to check-in, so I suggest if you have pet dander allergies or are afraid of animals, do not use this chiropractor. There is bird dander all over the leather couches in the waiting room. And this is not to mention the loud ear piercing squawking of the bird while you wait to be seen. I love animals and birds but this is NOT the place to have one! Not a doctor’s office. The receptionist/nurse/office clerk is unfriendly and never smiles when you are greeted. Matter of fact, she never greets you at all! No eye contact. Somehow she knows I’m there and calls me back to a therapy room. She left me in a therapy room while putting her younger son in charge of me. He couldn’t have been more than 10 y.o. He doesn’t know how to turn on the roller bed machine so he leaves me laying on it with the rollers jabbing me in the back while he goes to ask his mother how to turn it on. I’m not even in the care of professionals… a mere 10 y.o.!! He finally turns it on but never asks me if I’m comfortable(because he doesn’t know any better because he’s only 10 y.o.!) After very uncomfortable therapy on the roller bed, I’m escorted to an exam room. Again, the receptionist/nurse/office clerk was not very friendly towards me. I’m put in an exam room that was not very clean. Hair and dirt on the floor, I’m not even sure they’d wiped the table down that I had to touch/lay on. After a long time, the doctor came in. He talked my head off without letting me get a word in edgewise. After the chit chat of him telling me what i should be doing(not bothering to ask me if I do those things already or not), he gives me a few manipulations. They seemed to be alright. What I did not like was when I tried to talk to him in private about the receptionist/nurse/office clerk raising the charges on me, she would be standing outside the door eaves-dropping then she would just come into the room without knocking and interrupt us. That really bothered me that I can not have a private conversation with my doctor without her intervening. I mean I’m paying for the visit right??! He allowed her to barge in too. After all of that, I was tongue-lashed by her telling me that I am not«allowed» to talk to my doctor about the payments, only talk to her. After only a few visits like this, I finally asked the receptionist/nurse/office clerk why they were upping the charges on me? She claimed because he was doing more to me, when in reality, he was doing the same exact thing to me each time. She took a nasty tone with me saying if I had complaints, I would have to take it up with the office manager(whom happens to be the doctor’s wife). I said ok, so she gets on the phone and calls her while in my hearing distance and starts whispering things to her on the phone, some of which I overheard and she was telling the office manager I was not wanting to pay my bill which was so far from the truth. I didn’t understand why she was saying these things about me and I thought her whispering was quite rude and unprofessional. I never did get to speak to the office manager because I was«screened» by the receptionist/nurse/office clerk so aggressively that it was like trying to get into Fort Knox! I never did pay that bill because it was not justified. I disputed it on my credit card. It was unethical and unprofessional. I think they are trying to scam people(the unknowing ones who allow them to who don’t check their billing). Since then I have found a MUCH better chiropractor who treats me completely opposite and wonderful from the experience I had at this doctor’s office. I am considering calling the Chiropractic Board to see if it’s legal for him to have animals in the waiting room. That was just gross and annoying. And for the same price, I am now getting deep massage therapy with the electrostems, and manipulations! I rate this chiropractic office as a ZERO. If you can’t get billing straight with the office people, you can’t talk in private with your doctor, and you are subjected to animals and allergies while waiting to be seen by the doctor, then that chiropractor is not worth it. even if he DOES have good skills. It should be a whole package. Visit him at your own risk.
