The new building is very nice, with a cool bar. The problem is that the food is not that great for the price — it was much better before they moved. In another city where there are not so many great options I would give them a better rating, but in The Red Stick, it is a 3.

We came here and lunch was super busy! My nana and I both got crawfish and it was SO good! Like the best crawfish I’ve had at a restaurant for sure! The menu looks really good too. The place was really clean inside. The service was good too! The only thing that annoyed me was that I had to keep moving my chair forward for people to pass behind me. I want to come back and sit in a booth and try other things on the menu! But I was very happy that I got crawfish. It was also not a bad price

My first time eating at Willie’s was an okay experience. The place is family friendly. There were seven TVs tuned in to the college basketball game, so this would a great place to watch the game with the guys. I had the fried shrimp poboy with onion rings. The shrimp and onion rings were fried to perfection and it was not greasy at all. Our waitress was in training and she did great. Always checking on us and making sure our drinks were filled. For dessert, I had the Cajun doughnut. It looked and tasted like a big beignet ball drizzled in white chocolate. The negative side. The restaurant was very loud. There was no sound buffer. Also the menu did not specify the size of the poboy. There was only one price listed and I assumed it would be a foot long. When the food came out, the poboy was only six inches. The taste of the food made up for the size.

I felt bad about giving this restaurant one star… However…the marks against this place just piled up non-stop tonight. If you have reservations for a large party, the party should not be seated piecemeal over a 2 hour period. And an hour past your reservation time. In relation, JUST because your large party is having to wait longer than normal, at NO point do I think a table ahead of you should basically be told«you need to go…» by the wait staff because THEY are keeping the large party from being seated. Yes… they had already paid their tab and were simply gabbing away for about 20 minutes with no indication that they were leaving, but contrarily I felt awful watching the waiter asking them to vacate the table. That’s simply not done! Whatever you do, don’t EVER order a dish called«The Waylon», and for pete’s sake stay away from the cole slaw as a side dish for any plate on the menu. Fish(a.k.a…“The Waylon”) should never be saturated with Tony Chacherie’s and baked to absolute desert dryness the way this dish was tonight. I took one bite of both the cole slaw and the fish, and was done. What a terrible waste of money for what should have been a decent plate of food. The cole slaw was simply cabbage with no moisture or flavor. The fish was not edible, even with the crawfish, peppers, and mushrooms plied on it. All I could taste was hot, dry, Tony Chacherie’s seasoning. The end result was salty nastiness beyond belief. My night there ended with me paying for food that was not even touched beyond one bite. It is not often I scratch any place off my list without giving them a second chance, but with the prices being charged here, I can’t chance too many nights like tonight.

Great, new place in BR. Good variety & the service was refreshing. I ordered the Fried Fish for an entrée and the Crawfish Bisque as an appetizer. With my entrée was a side salad and broccoli. Everything was fresh and the taste was great! I was able to get the feel of the bar since I dined in. Reminds me a tad of Olive or Twist, but there was a good of liquor and a house drink being made from scratch. I was glad to see fruit being muddled and time taken to make special drinks. I’ll definitely be back!

We were home for Christmas and wanted something different. Of course we took to Unilocal!Saw this on there with 4 stars and decided to stop in. We literally got the last table in the restaurant! I ordered the fried green tomatoes topped with crab meat and some kind of sauce as an appetizer! And it was to die for! Our waitress was awesome and very attentive! We didn’t take long to order and they even catered to my husband who can’t have any spice. We ordered the seafood stuffed potatoes. All entrees come with a side salad with dressing of choice. It didn’t take long for our food to come out and it was definitely awesome! We found this Lil gem and we will be going back next time we’re home! If you haven’t gone, you need to make ur way there! You will not be disappointed!
