Best pizza in town. Square deep dish. Pretty expensive but worth it. They also deliver. The service is great but you will have to wait on the weekends.

Once again, Jet’s pizza is a disappointment. I order 1 – 2 times a week. It’s a crap shoot with this Jets location. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s downright gross. The Battle Creek Jet’s Pizza on Columbia is less than a 50⁄50 bet. The food I ordered today– 10÷15÷15, ticket # 44– was downright unappetizing. I ordered a veggie sub, a salad, and a steak and cheese sub with EXTRA meat and cheese, because they’re usually skimpy,(I don’t mind paying extra, I just want food that is proportioned correctly– always order extra from Jet’s) Called to complain and got the manager. I asked for the sub to be remade and redeliver it at their convenience. I even offered to bring it back myself. He argued how he made it himself, would NOT give me his name, and proceeded to tell me how my, and all subs are weighed by ounces and my sub would be remade using exactly 3 oz. of meat, and blah blah blah, he treated me like I was inconveniencing him by calling to complain. The ends of the sub– 2 inches on each end, are dry and inedible because there is nothing there but bread. It has no detectable cheese and it looks like it’s been sat on. Again, I order from this restaurant weekly. I am not trying to get free food, I am trying to get food that is correctly made, why is this so hard? And this manager, arguing with me? If YOURCUSTOMER is not happy with a service, and the Manager dismisses the Customer in this fashion, the CUSTOMER is the fool for going back. If anyone from this location or corporate reads these reviews, do the math Jets, and consider yourself boycotted, there are too many other options for delivered pizza based food in Battle Creek.

We were in town to visit a major client and needed something quick to take on board for the flight out. Typically in this case we will have cold sandwiches. So I looked up a couple places and I called this one to order the sandwich platter they had advertised. I was greeted by a terse person on the other end of the phone whom told me that they don’t’ carry that item that is advertised on their website… ok. Then how about some JETZEE subs? Nope don’t carry those either from the rude guy. I suspected that if the owner knew how this person talked to potential customers he probably would be out of a job. So I settled for the regular subs. Ordered 4 of them and they were delivered very quickly which is a plus. So they arrived and the sandwiches were warm and I asked the delivery guy why would you heat up ham and cheese sub or a turkey sub especially when I didn’t ask and the website didn’t say anything about the sandwiches being toasted! Any idea how one of these cold sandwiches taste after being heated up and then let cool down while waiting for our departure? Well to put it simply it was a waste of money, and makes me believe that the guy answering the phone not only didn’t care about the food he was sending out, but about the customers in general. The icing on the cake is that I found out the guy owns the franchise!!! I’m hoping for his sake he learns some customer service skills.

Let’s get this clear that I understand the concept that«great pizza» is a very personal thing. Some people are Pizza Hut fans and others are Jersey family owned pizza place fans. Jet’s Pizza tastes to me like the old school East coast immigrant run neighborhood pizza places, but from an up and coming regional chain. I feel that great pizza starts with great sauce, and the sauce in Jet’s Pizza is the main draw, but I love their flavorful pepperoni! For a real treat try their«Spicy» pepperoni… be warned, when they say«spicy» they mean it! Jet’s offers 8 different crust flavors: Cajun, Poppy Seed, Sesame Seed, Shredded Parmesan, Butter, Garlic, Romano and their«Turbo Crust» which is Butter + Garlic + Romano. There is no additional charge for flavorizing the crust of your pizza. You can also choose a crust style; deep dish, hand tossed and New York style thin. Add to this their great Subs, calzones(they call them«boats»), bread sticks(with 4 different dipping sauces), and salads. It may sound weird from a pizza place, but I am hooked on their Tuna Deli Boat; heaven on a baked pizza crust. Beverages are Coca-Cola products with 20oz individual bottles and 2L family size available. They seem to always have coupons on the website and also on the back of their take out menus. Online ordering is also available. I prefer to call ahead so the pizza is ready when I get there, but there is a small waiting area for customers if you forgot to call ahead. There is no dining area as such– it is a classical«take out only» pizza place. Give their heavenly 8-corner deep dish pizza a try(it’s really 24 slice deep dish pizzas baked together). You’ll like it!

Somehow this place has been flying under the radar for a while. As I am always on the search for good pizza, I was driving around Battle Creek in search of something different. I happened to bump into Jet’s. Now this place is pretty unimpressive from the outside, located on some strip mall and with only two tables inside. This place is more of a take out place than anything else. I ordered the Jets special which is sausage, green pepper, mushrooms and onions. Deep dish. While waiting for the take out, I went out to the car to listen to the radio and read a book. The guy that took my order was freindly and helpful, and he really believed in his product. When the pizza was ready, he brought it out to my car… curbside service! The pizza itself was generously topped, the crust was thick but not to thick… definitely buttery, slightly greasy even. But good. This is a place I would come back to. It is a chain and not the greatest but they put out a generous pie and it satisfies even a pizza snob like me.
