I’m giving this 3 stars because I don’t really care for deli sandwiches, and whenever I order non-deli menu items, they are always sub-par, because another restaurant can do them much better. For example, pizza, and gyros. I ordered the gyro sandwich for the first time, and it was ok… just so small compared to the massive Greek gyros that I could get elsewhere. Overall I think PJ’s overcharges for the portions they serve. The small sandwiches are rarely enough food to satisfy my appetite, but I can’t stand paying $ 9 for a large one when I could get a footlong at Subway for 6 bucks.

Yumm-o! I stopped in for lunch w two others and service was on point. When the line reached 4, a second cashier jumped on and helped out. We each ordered the #11, 14 and 19 as well as the lobster bisque. My only issue is that my sandwich the pastrami, didn’t have enough meat. Granted I did order the smaller of the two sandwiches, I think there should have been enough meat to cover the bread. If that wouldn’t have been an issue 5 stars.

I ordered a pastrami/cornbeef combo which wasn’t in the menu? The question that was asked of me was did I want the regular or large(amount of meat) version? I ordered the large version and it was light on the meat. I wish delis would actually put something between the bread like NY or Chicago. Just charge a little more for it. The pickle was a sliver of a dill. Quality good, portion size very small…:-(

Pastrami Joe’s is THEBEST lunch destination in Marshall or Battle Creek — Hands down. That is all I have to say.

Delish! Corned beef, Pastrami, Grilled Chicken Breast Panini, Baby Bull and Chicken Salad Wrap. All wonderfully good! Plus their soup is really good too.

Jomama is outstanding and it’s tough to move on to other items on the menu, but everything is awesome. Food comes out quick and the atmosphere at lunch is great. A touch pricey for BC, but where else can you get a sandwich this good?

If you want a great sandwich look no further. Fast, friendly, awesome. Just know its not a $ 5 foot long from Subway. Its something much better, thats why it cost a little more.

Great soup, salad, and sandwich shop! Service is friendly and fast. Not even five minutes after placing my order, my name was being called and I was stuffing my face with chili! This is a good place to try if you need a quick lunch in Battle Creek!

Always terrific! Pastrami Joe’s is downtown’s favorite for lunch madness. Terrific hot and cold sandwiches, salads and soup. The greek salad with chicken is heaven. Mike, Joe and crew make everyone feel welcome and happy. Great place.

I’m usually stuck eating cafeteria food all week when I’m out in Battle Creek on business but on days when I don’t have a meeting right after lunch that I need to prepare for, my co-workers and I try to go out and get ourselves some delicious sandwhiches at Pastrami Joe’s. Pastrami Joe’s is only open 11am-3pm, but they do deliver. They offer a catering menu, where I usually like to order lunch from when I have a big meeting. They serve really good hot and cold sandwhiches, salads, and warm, comforting soups. My favorites are the Joe’s Soon-to-be Famous Hot Pastrami Sandwich, the Hot Italian Grinder, and Jessie’s Chicken Ceasar Hot– a warm sandwich with grilled chicken, hot pastrami, greens, and ceasar dressing. I also really like the spinach and chicken salad, with tender grilled chicken, hard-boiled egg, bacon, crunchy crushed croutons, and a wonderfully sweet vinaigrette. The soups are also really good. I’ve loved every one I’ve tried, including the fire-roasted vegetable soup and the hearty chili, served with a moist cornbread muffin. And did I mention the great service? Joe himself mans the tables and makes sure everyone’s enjoying their lunch, and they’ll even bring your food out to the tables outside, if all the tables inside are full.
