I had a very negative experience at the Battle Ground Fred Meyer’s tonight. I went through the check out and purchased my products including some infant formula. The cashier forgot to demagnetize the infant formula so when I proceeded to leave the store it set off the big door alarms. I stopped and pulled out my receipt as an employee that was sitting next to the doors came up to me to check my stuff. I understand that this is protocol and I am fine with that, hence the reason I pulled out my receipt. I told the employee it was most likely the infant formula that set it off. The employee began to dig through my first bag and then decided to take each and every one of my grocery bags and swing them through the door alarms. She took every bag of mine and literally swung them through the alarms. At this point multiple people stopped to watch including another employee. Once the employee had finally swung all my bags back through the door alarms she moved on to the infant formula and swung the bag through setting off the alarm. She then said she would need to check my receipt for proof of purchase. I handed her the receipt and she looked at it and said oh yeah there they are you can go. The way she handled this situation was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. If she had asked me to go to a register to have my things checked I would have been glad to do so. However instead she decided to make a scene in front of other customers and employees which caused me to feel extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. I am sure there are set procedures for how to handle this type of situation and I can’t imagine it involves taking all the bags out of my cart and swinging them through the alarms in front of the whole front of the store. I have been a loyal customer here for 15 years and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had here and it has made me rethink wanting to go back to this establishment.

I love going to this Fred Meyers. I can get everything I need in one swoop. They have good deals and able to match prices if you find it cheaper anywhere else. The employees are helpful and hard workers. This place is kept clean and usually has everything in stock. I’m a big coupon person and Fred Meyers has alot of those. I usually look into weekly ads and a good deal is the $ 0.99 half gallon milk. You can save a couple bucks that way. Sometimes you can find good deals on their produce and food items. They also have a lot of sales throughout the store. Free wifi throughout the store. Parking lot is big. Up front parking can be a pain during busy times. There is also a Starbucks inside and a redbox on the right entrance. Overall, it is a very big store and can get mostly everything you need for a good price.

I do not think that the selection at Fred Meyer is as good as it used to be. The people who work in the produce dept. are not very knowledgeable about the produce. The bakery only has large packaged items and not enough individual choices such as one slice pieces of cake or a selection of individual bagels. You have to buy large quantities of the same kind of bagel in a package.

Fred Myers has the best Starbucks! Far better then the main Starbucks store in Battle Ground! Always makes my drinks perfect! Never feel rushed to make my order! Fred Meyer’s all-around has the best customer service out of all the stores in BG:)

I’m a big fan of Fred Meyer and would give them 5 stars. But I’m not going to write a review of the store. I’m going to write a review of the parking lot from the vantage point of someone traveling in an RV. DON’T EVENTRYIT! First of all, you have to turn up a side street to even get into the Fred Meyer parking lot. I was there in a 32 foot Class C, no toad. The parking lot was very full at 2:00PM on a Thursday afternoon. I had trouble weasling around the parking lot. I got myself stuck in a situation where I couldn’t turn around, and had to beg someone to guide me. I finally got parked out in a different section of the strip mall. The section I parked in was«common parking» to the strip mall and not specifically Fred Meyer. While shopping, I earned a 10 cent discount for the gas. Wanted to use it at the gas station. Took one look at the gas station, NOFREAKINGWAY! The gas station only has room for cars, not RV’s.

The prices aren’t bad, but the management of this store sucks big time.

I strongly dislike this store. The people who work and shop there alike are unfriendly. Everyone is so darn rude there it was like I was in bazzaro world… They are over priced, and their produce along with the meat section lack quality. Albertson’s just west of them can be a little pricey for my liking but they have pretty good sales, very friendly service, store is always clean and shiney and cheap chicken Mondays which is the best chicken in town… This FM sucks, I will spend my money elsewhere, gladly…

Lives up to it’s name. Definitely a one stop shopping experience. Some of the organization of products is a little haphazard though. I literally spent 10 mins trying to figure out which contact solution I should get because the prices/labeling was mis-marked! Only reason why this is 3 stars.

Only thing I don’t like about this Fred Meyer is the parking lot. It’s only One way in and one out and a pain with lots of traffic.

I use the Pharmacy and the staff are a delight to deal with. Very helpful and efficient. The produce and meat seems to be a level above other markets in Battle Ground but I agree that it is a little more spendy. Every once in a while you can find a bargain in the clothing department if you stick with name brands.

This is just another location/iteration of your standard FM store… but maybe a little bigger/newer than average A handy place to stock up when you’re on your way in to Gifford Pinchot to do some camping… or on your way back from a few days in the woods when you need a Kombucha and a bathroom with a toilet that flushes. Either way it delivers, and the natural food section never lets a me down.

FM Store is priced a little high. We buy lost leaders sale items in the grocery. They have a good price for Organic milk. This is a Kroger Store similar to Walmart.
