We love this restaurant, we can’t wait for them to come back. Hope all is alright with your family.

HORRIBLE!!! Soggy breaded chicken! YUCK!!! Didn’t even offer or send hot mustard with BBQ pork, which was cold like the rest of our terrible food. Frozen food would jave tasted better! GROSS!!! I see bankruptcy in the sucky silver dragon!!!

Ever eat Chung King canned Chinese food? Remember that canned Chicken Chow Mein? Those canned crispy noodles? Same taste, smell and quality here. I wanted to peek into the kitchen and see if they were opening those cans. Unfortunately, there are few Asian food options. Area Thai is better. Want Chinese food? Portland is not that far.

The food is pretty good. The buffet is very, very small.

Great food and huge quantity for the price. They have pretty much anything you could want on the menu. My favorite item is the crab puffs! They also deliver pretty late in the evening which is nice. We normally just get take out and the service is really fast.

I work a few doors down from here and I have to admit that this place grows on you fast. Not that it was ever bad, it’s quite good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. The staff is super friendly too, nothing I have ever asked was ever refused or given that«you’re kidding» brief look that you get at so many places these days before the server pops into«I want my tip mode». Nope, Silver Dragon staff is always great whether I eat there or take it to go. Weekdays they have a small buffet set up, it’s only $ 5.95, and while there are only about a dozen total items and a small salad and soup area what is there is very good and you don’t miss those mega-buffets at all. The pork fried rice is great and so are the spring and egg rolls. Another nice benefit is while this place is old, you can tell, it is always clean. I think if they remodeled it would take something away from the experience. Silver Dragon is open late too, until 10pm, so when I get off work at 9:15, I can stop here and pick a late dinner for The Wife and I when we are unencumbered of the child for an evening. So yeah, I’m a big fan of Silver Dragon and plan to be for a long time.

It’s been some time since we tried the SD. Our last impression was one of being ok but nothing unique. Tonight we ordered Chow Mein with pan fried noodles; gneral Tso’s checken, house fried rice and egg roles. The food was fresh and hot. The egg roles were HUGE. The General’s chicken had a coating that they poured some sort of sauce over. Never had it done this way and while it was ok it was mushy. The rice quantity was huge and the taste was ok but bland. The Chow Mein came separate from the pan fried noodles. Again, hot but no particular flavor. All in all there was no character or uniqueness to the food. Hot. Fresh. Bland. My wife has cooked chinese for years so we know it’s very simple to give each dish it’s own unique character but it does require just a bit of effort. Prices were ok per dish. If you are looking for decent quantities and ok prices and don’t care about the taste give it a try.

Horrible! Some of the dishes are just tasteless, nothing like any Chinese food I’ve ever had. Egg rolls looked like they were going to be good, but inside was filled with some kind of mush. Menu needs revamped, combination plates are less than appealing and if you make any substitutions be prepared to pay a high price for it.

This place has been around for decades, and is all sorts of awesome. I’ve been eating here since I was a young, spry thing, but I’ve grabbed take-out with friends several times recently, reaffirming just how great this place is. It’s not fancy and it’s definitely not authentic, but it is delicious, inexpensive, and served by super friendly staff in an über clean restaurant. In fact, I’m pretty sure the tables and décor are the exact same ones they had 20 years ago, and they are still in fantastic shape. That tells you that the staff is spot-on about taking care of the restaurant. The food is served quickly, and is extremely plentiful. For example, this past weekend two friends and I split an order of pot stickers and a combination plate designed for one person, and there was still left-overs in my fridge to enjoy the next day. Chinese food for breakfast has to be one of the best things ever. Almost everything I’ve tried here has been more than satisfactory, and completely on-par with most American Chinese food. The potstickers were not my favorite, however, as the casing is a bit thicker than average, making the potsticker a little too doughy. I will be a return customer for as long as this place sticks around, which I hope is a great long while!

This is as American as American Chinese food gets, but has really good value. My fam really likes the orange chicken and salt and pepper shrimp. It’s very low key, but I’ve been a regular for as long as I’ve lived in B.G. I’d definitely recommend it over the Happy Family Chinese restaurant down the street. (Just don’t do the lunch buffet. That just tastes weird and stale and doesn’t have much selection.)
