I had Phnomnom when they were at Stanford. It was just OK. I got a Khmer sandwich, which was pretty good. It was big enough for me. However, my friend got the curry, and was less than impressed. It was on the pricey side and the serving size was quite small, especially compared to the $ 6 curry at Thai Café at Stanford. We also had to wait a while; whereas Thai Café is way faster. Maybe we just don’t like Cambodian food or maybe we ordered the wrong stuff?

Best food truck I’ve come across in a while! I went with their skewer combo plate, which comes with two skewers(one pork and one beef), cole slaw, rice, and an egg roll. I wasn’t a huge fan of the egg roll(the crust was a bit soggy), but everything else was delicious! As for the meat, I preferred the beef over the pork, but they were both very tasty, and seasoned/cooked perfectly. The meat had a ton of flavor, and you get a good amount of meat on each skewer. All in all, I thought it was a perfectly balanced meal. Prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Finally, you’re thinking, «Jack finally gave a food truck 4 stars!» I know, get out the balloons and confetti right? Friendly condensed milk Thai tea, pricey and not worth the $ 4 or was it $ 5 I paid for it, but it tasted good. The skewer plate had good flavor and the meat was tender. The service was quick, and back to the food, did I mention the flavor? Lemongrass, herbs, and coconut make it a worthwhile truck if you’re stuck in food truck confusion wondering where to eat. Grand total of a pricey $ 17 for a food truck, but at least it tasted good which is more than I could say for 90% of the trucks I’ve tried.

YUMM.skewers. I had the combo plate which came with 2 skewers, rice, and a small eggroll. It was definitely really filling and delicious. The eggroll wasn’t my favorite but I would eat it again.

This was my first food truck meal in a long time and I have no regrets. This is a Cambodian themed food truck. I had the coconut pork skewer plate. For $ 10.50 I got two generously sized skewers of delicious pork, an ample amount of rice and gingery slaw, and a small eggroll. This really hit the spot and was enough food to be sated but not stuffed. My order came after several other orders placed after mine. I’m not sure that there was a good reason for that but nonetheless a very minor issue that was forgotten quickly and only remembered again as I write this review. I’ve mostly moved away from the food truck scene but if I am in the vicinity of Phnomnom again I’d love to have their skewers again.

So I have been meaning to write a review for this truck since I’ve tried it, and I honestly thought I already written it, but I didn’t. However since I wanted to make my 150 review a good one, it worked out! This is one of THE best food trucks out there! You can’t even tell the food is made inside a truck! Right when I tasted the Not Too Spicy Curry, I was in Heaven. You could tell it was made with love and care. It’s exactly what the name of it is not too spicy. It has a very tiny kick of spice, but it’s nothing to be worried of if you don’t like spicy things. The veggies weren’t hard to bite into, everything was soft. I got mine with rice, but you could get bread too. A must try for curry lovers or if you want something warm. Next we had the Sticky Rice w\Banana and toasted coconut. I couldn’t wait to try it! It’s a light dessert, so you don’t feel bad for having dessert lol. It comes with a dip too. I believe it was like a coconut milk kind of thing. It wasn’t too too sweet either. I love sweets too. If I could have this everyday for my dessert, I would go to sleep with a huge smile on my face lol. The amount of banana and coconut was just right. We also had the Lemongrass Beef Skewers with pickled veggies and an egg roll. The meat wasn’t tough. Like I said before, you can’t tell this food was made in a food truck. The meat was juicy, perfectly seasoned. I’m super picky when it comes to egg rolls for some odd reason, like they’re all made different. Too much seasoning, too much oil, etc. This egg roll was not like that, thankfully. It was kinda a bit too oily, but the taste of it made me forget the oily-ness. We also had the Condensed Milk Ice Cream Float w\Thai Tea. Yeah, we went all out lol. But I’m so happy we did. This float was refeshing. The Thai tea mixed with the ice cream was really creamy. We got the hook up on it though, since we got two scoops of ice cream in ours.(They somehow knew I love ice cream, lol) so 5 stars for the food. The service was just amazing! We met the owner, Sophia. She is so nice and caring. Very friendly, made sure our order was what we wanted. She alone gets 5 stars. You have to meet her and thank her for opening up this super delicious place on wheels!!! She really does put her heart into the foods and desserts. You don’t find that in a lot of food trucks; plus making it taste like it was made right from an actual kitchen and not the food truck, is just crazy good. I could already tell this truck is going places. It just got started late last year, but the way they make the food, it’s going to one of the newest best things for 2016. Follow them on FB to know where they’re going to be @.

I recently went to Fremont off the grid Wednesday night and decided to try the best looking truck there, Phnomnom Cambodian street food and I’m so glad I did. This was my first time trying Cambodian food but will not be my last. You can tell that the food was made fresh and with love. We tried the egg rolls, beef skewer, Sticky rice and Thai tea float.

Great to see a new food truck offering something different, Cambodian street food. We tried the Lemongrass Beef skewers plate and the sticky rice with banana. The beef skewers were cooked to order, it came with rice, egg roll and small salad. The egg roll was different it had taro in it, everything was very tasty. The sticky rice with banana was soooo good especially with the coconut sauce poured over it. Can’t wait to try their curry, Khmer sandwich and Thai Tea/Coffee float. Customer service is on point, there was a bit of a wait but it was not a big deal, I’m sure as time goes on they’ll adapt. The owner is very friendly and takes that extra step to ensure good service and food.

Came in w low expectations, was Knocked on my ass kind of good. Had the«not so spicy» curry with the coconut skewers and the Thai iced T float. And now I am confused. I love food, but this is wife material. I love it so much I would put a ring on that meal, but having exchanged currency to partake of the meal does make me feel a bit used, and even more confused. Regardless, Roxane isn’t going to have to out up the red light tonight because I ain’t going to share it with another boy.

I tried this Food truck last Friday at the Stoneridge Mall-Off the Grid. I saw 5 food trucks that I already tried for the past 6 months. I had to try either the Southern Comfort Food and this Phnomnom — a Cambodian street food truck serving mostly skewers, eggrolls, they even have their signature Khmer Sandwich and the sticky banana dessert. They serve vegetarian and other carnivore dishes for customers with different food lifestyles. So I ordered the Khmer sandwich which is their signature item because it is a fusion of Cambodian, Vietnamese and Southeast Asian flavors roll into one. So basically it is a pork sausage that is freshly made that has a lot of garlic and other spices that is grilled with a bed a cabbage slaw, shredded carrots, Sriracha mayo plus mayo, cilantro and few slices of jalapenos served on a Big French Roll. The first bite was ok, but as soon as you chew — all the flavors were coming together into a great sandwich. Their sausage has hints of fish sauce, ground pork, onions, and other spices. Then it was grilled to perfection and not greasy. So this is the good part. After a few bites, they need to put more cabbage slaw in there and the Sriracha mayo was enough but there was extra mayo that was just slathered which I didn’t care of. But overall, great food which was different that week. But I would still come back to try out their other menu options. Customer Service — 5⁄5 Ordering process to getting your order — 3⁄5. Took a while but acceptable because it was during Friday lunch rush. I observed there was a chef cooking the food, one getting the orders, and the order taker had to take orders and call customers’ names for food pick-up. But when there is a long line going on. There is a wait for customers’ picking up the food. Ambiance: 4⁄5 Menu and other food options: 5⁄5
