Came here on Saturday and my daughter, husband and me got food poisoning, started feeling sick after 2 hours of eating, and that is all we ate that day so it could have not been anything else. Eat at your own risk –_–

I will give this restaurant 3 stars once they clean up the place. While the food was OK, I could not enjoy it starting at dirty floors and trays. Cleanliness goes a long way!

Well all the fritters are hard to eat, it looks like the keep it for long time in the light or something like that, i decided to give it a try in the fruit salad and it was horrible, watery and also taste old not fresh, my husband order the tres leches and it was not sweet, dry and taste old TOO, this place is very expensive, I’m planning not to come back there never AGAIN

We tried this place today and I must say food wasn’t too good, girl behind the counter wasn’t very happy to see me, they didn’t have ingredients for most crepes on the menu, crape dough was bland and tasteless, there was way too much meat inside, if you are a serious meat lover than maybe you will like it because meat wasn’t that bad, I’m not sure if I’ll be there again.

Arepas & Crêpes is most definitely Colombian, albeit a strange not-exactly-hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves both crêpes and as the name implies, arepas too. How does that translate as far as food? We awarded them 3.8÷5.0 and here’s why. I ordered the Arepas Mixtos, which includes everything under the sun, and although this sounds great in theory, it was not executed well, and while it did happen on their flagship product, it isn’t necessarily a deal breaker. There was simply too much going on to be considered appetizing. Shrimp, chicharrón, beef, chicken and pink sauce was definitely present. Although, the hot and cold parts left a lasting impression, and not in a good way. Moreover, the corn arepa was simply alright. The chicharrón stole the show in this case. The restaurant is nestled in between the entrance and exit of the garage/parking facility of the supermarket across the street, which contributes to the oddity of the space. Most notably, Spanish-speakers frequent the establishment, and while this is not a problem in and of itself, the restaurant is also quite noisy because of it. Just something to keep in mind, for your next trip should you have a craving(curiosity) for arepas. Service was not expedient to say the least. My order took upwards of 10 – 15 minutes to execute and there was also no one in front of me. Service, combined with lukewarm execution, and mediocre food contribute to our rating of 3.8÷5.0. We hope they step up their game, as they have potential on their side.

Finally decided to try this place and I gotta say it was just okay. I tried the Arepa Mixta which was really to me a hot mess. An arepa with shrimp, chicken, beef, and fried pork. Sounded good but the presentation was extremely overwhelming. The arepa was stuffed to the max and she added way too much pink sauce. If it had been a bit thinner or if they gave you two nice sized arepas instead of that one big mess it would have been better. You will just end up busting it open and eating out of it like a bowl. Out of all the meat inside I was really only picking at the shredded beef. Ive definitely had better Arepas and I wont be returning here.

Picked up food from here today and was less than impressed. I am Colombian as is my mother and we’ve had real authentic Colombian food both in Colombia and the u.s. arepas y crepes just didn’t do it for us. I’ll start with the good: the lulo juice we got was amazing really great… and that’s about it. The Carne asada was bland and the maduro was burnt. They also forgot to give us the tostones we ordered and were charged for. they didn’t offer to refund us after we called to tell them. All in all it wasn’t anything special, but they are pretty new so maybe they just need some time to get into the flow of things.

The best coffee in Brooklyn, made fresh using Colombian coffee beans. Their crepes, apple struddel and other pastries are delicious too. Everything is made fresh. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who appreciates authentic food.

I got so excited when they opened this place up. I had been meaning to try them and one rainy night, I finally did. Looks like a family run business, super friendly and the interior is no frills and super clean. Ordered the arroz con pollo and the carne asada, which came with everything. However, when I got home, I realized they forgot my arepa. I called them to tell them, but the phone just kept ringing. Sadly, I never got to try their arepa, but would like to eventually. Everything that came with the carne asada and the carne asada itself was just bland. The meat was kinda overcooked and the plantains were kinda chewy because they weren’t ripe enough. The arroz con pollo was a totally different story though, delicious and flavorful. The portions were huge so I ended up having leftovers for lunch the next day, still good. I wouldn’t mind giving them another try, especially when Columbian food is pretty much nonexistent in the area.

We tried Arepas Crepes today. Ordered the Sunday daily special which was fried fish with white rice and salad also comes with a side of soup($ 7.50). We also had arroz con pollo($ 9.50). Food tasted pretty good. The arroz con pollo was a little salty. Staff was friendly but they were a little unorganized. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

Newly opened friendly casual Colombian joint. Portions are big, juices are fresh, and the Nutella crepes are Nutella-y. Will be back.
