A nice quit out of the way place with great food great staff and great prices. It is a must stop when every in the bay. It is that good and their Rodney sauce is amazing.

This is a great location on the ground floor of an old historic City Hall building in Old Town Bay St. Louis, MS. I have been eating here 1 – 2 times per week for the last 2 years. Problem is… things have gone down hill a bit in the last 6 months. I decided to write a review today as I ordered a sandwich with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was heated with the lettuce on it (they never did that before).
So… we have wilted, hot lettuce, soggy bread (likely from heating it with the tomato on it) and soggy chips with a side of potato salad (great BTW) for almost $ 18.
Could be just a bad day, but I think I’m done with Cypress Café. There are simply too many other options in BSL today.

Tried the Veggie Burger today and it was so tasty I didn’t even realize I was eating healthy! Everything we tried, the fresh Tomato Basil soup, the yummy and unique potato salad; was excellent! You are my new favorite place to eat in BSL!

Last year we loved our lunch. This year, not so much. I ordered a BLT and the tomatoes were ‘mealy’, the field greens were wilting with some slimy ones added in and the sparse bacon wasn’t flavorful. The Dixie Chicken was a healthy portion, but once again the ‘flavorings’ were subpar. The ice tea is good, the interior is good, the staff was attentive.

Homemade Soups + Delicious Pressed Sandwiches + Great Service = Excellent lunch spot in Bay St. Louis. Bonus points for a super comfortable dining room and fantastic desserts.

I ordered a BLT and it was great. I don’t know what they put on the bread to make it sweet but it is amazing and the sweet tea is pretty good too! I love how you can look through all the old news papers while you wait.

I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. The salad came out within minutes. The chicken was cold, chopped, and had the texture of a frozen, processed pattie. For a $ 12 salad, this was not what I expected. Otherwise the server was friendly and the décor appealing.

Very good food accompanied by a very friendly staff and charming atmosphere (in a great location, by the way). The last time I was here, I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich, which did not disappoint. I look forward to trying something different each time I make it into town. See ya in October! :)

Bay Saint Louis, MS
This is a great lunch spot and place to buy locally produced nicknacks.
I love their vegetarian panini by the bay. It’s the perfect blend of cheese, vegetables, and fresh, warm bread. I like to eat half and save the rest for dinner.
The grilled cheese and soup is also a great choice.
The owner is friendly and happy to serve her customers. I brought my students to downtown BSL 3 days in a row, for a field trip, and she allowed them used the restroom throughout the day if they were desperate.
Also, she sells many locally produced items. I always buy a bar of soap from the Southern Soap Factory display. She also carries Captain Rodney’s, which makes a fabulous dip for parties.

Neat place! I had the turkey bacon wrap (I forgot the name). Everything on the menu sounded really good– had a hard time choosing. Wife had a cup of seafood gumbo and grilled cheese, she liked it. Friendly staff, place was packed. I didn’t care for the smaller size mason jar drinking glasses. The ice cream looked super delicious.
