First off, the food is really good, leaning toward great. My first experience was carry out. I ordered, picked it up and ate at home. The food is VERY tasty and I was impressed by it. Recently, my girlfriend, daughter and I came in to eat for lunch and it was a different story … It was a sad scene when we walked in at noon to an empty place. We sat and the waitress seemed scared and shy to talk to us and take our order. We ordered and after a very long wait, she informed us 1⁄3 of the items were unavailable. We adjusted and were finally served. Things still weren’t right but after the wait and hunger, we dug in. While we were eating, one person came in, grabbed a menu and waited for her order to be taken. No one gave her attention in this empty place so she left. Another guy came in to pick up an order. I have to say, the food is tasty and it was nice presentation although I could tell the rice was at least a day old. After we ate I was then presented with a phone. The waitress told me the owner wanted to talk to me. The person on the other end told me that the receipt printer wasn’t working and that if I wanted a receipt, I could pick it up the next day. It was a little strange having them swipe my card and getting nothing in return but I’m keeping an eye on my bank account. Bayonne: We need more tasty, ethnic food in this town. Enough with Chinese food, right?!? The food here is really good! I think if this place had more practice(if people came in to eat) the service would get better. This place is great for carry out! That deserves 5 stars if the order is right. I have to split the difference with the dine in experience. There was a great Indian place in town that closed down. Let’s not let Tambores go this same way! UPDATE: This place is now CLOSED!
