Best steaks in bayshore, but the butcher wow. I asked him for 2 one pound steaks, his reply is I don’t know what it will weigh till I cut it. Ok obviously but just get it close. Well I got 3 pounds of meat, whatever. I’m a chef and I get whole strips, rib eyes, and porter houses in all the time I have no problem gauging what a pound is and have never been off by more than and oz or so. So for a butcher to be so far off his weights I just don’t get it, you would never have a job at my establishment. If the meat wasn’t so good I’d never go there again.

Mr. C here– Let me start by saying that I have always heard rave reviews from friends about Frank and Maria’s. I decided to try it for myself this past Sunday when I needed some Italian sausage for a family dinner. I walked in to a very nicely arranged store«the Mercado», clean, well lit, smelled good! I was looking for sausage so I headed over to the butcher counter. It was not as clean or well lit, but it was Sunday. I purchased a pound of sweet, and a pound of hot, and headed back to the«mercado» section where I picked up a still warm, fresh mozzarella. I brought it all home. The mozzarella was spot on… tender, creamy, excellent! The sausage, however, was a major disappointment. The texture and the flavor was not what I prefer in an Italian sausage, but others have raved. So you must decide if it’s worth parallel parking for? Three stars for the mozz!!!

The best sausage in the area! Extremely friendly staff and always willing to take special orders. Only deducted one star since they are a little pricey, generally a little more than similar stores in Suffolk, but they are convenient and always happy to see you. Glad to have such a great store with authentic Italian products nearby.

Great place. If you like spicy food… The ragin cajun… Sausalito turkey, chipotle Gouda, red onion and creole dressing on a hero. One of the best tastes iv ever experienced. Would travel from afar to get this. Great sandwiches, fresh bread. Not open Monday’s if I remember correctly.

I can’t get enough of this place. I’ve had everything from their sandwiches, hot food to their fresh Cannolies. Everything is done to utmost perfection. I got some rib eye steaks along with some chicken breasts. Exceptional. I literally am there almost everyday. This place is killing me lol. If you have the chance give them a try — you’ll be back.

Frank and Maria’s is the best Italian deli and butcher in this area. Every sandwich they have on their menu is delicious and they always use the best quality ingredients. Their shop also has a number of imported Italian goods. The butcher counter on the other side of the deli has fair prices and high quality meats. To add the staff is always so helpful and genuinely seem to love working here.

Working in Bay Shore I commonly go to Frank & Marie’s for Lunch. Or, i go there after work to get something to bring home to my family for dinner. To say their food is fresh is an accurate statement for sure. They have a wide variety of fresh-made hot choices, a huge variety of meat choices. They offer every cold-cut Boar’s Head sells and you have some delicious choices in different, warm breads/heros and more to put it all on. Top that sandwich with fresh peppers, fresh salads and a wide-choice of dressings. THe prices are great and fair, the workers are kind and quick and Frank’s daughter at the register is adorable and leaves you with a great smile. I would go every day if I could, but I do travel a lot. I highly recommend you spend some time to see the wide choices on their shelves as well — pasta, oils and much more.

Their fresh mozzarella is by far the best I’ve ever had that’s readily available on a daily basis. The sandwiches that are prepared from the menu are amazing. Try some of the meats from the butcher department and you will be very pleased with the quality. The beef is ground to order and makes the best burgers around. If you have time to wait for one of their fresh made to order pizzas you’ll be hooked. I love the food and staff is very pleasant as well.

Great heroes, try the Frank’s Classic Italian, Maria’s Favorite or Chicken Classic. Ask for sesame semolina bread. The imported olive oil in refillable bottles is also excellent.

Anyone who knows good Italian food, knows that this is the best place around. The only thing better is Sunday dinner at my mom’s house, unless she’s cooking with food bought here. Also, if you’re hosting a party, let them cater it. Their staff is just as good as their food. Your friends will thank you for it.

BBQ’ing? Stop here. I’ve seen better Ital markets, but F&M’s does a great job. Marinated steaks, sausage pinwheels(the pork, cheese, parsley is awesome), salads and anything you need for a party, F & M’s has you covered. The prices aren’t cheap, but you’re not buying cheap stuff. Be prepared to spend some cash and you’ll love this place! Def check it out before your next BBQ!

Frank’s the best. I came here almost everyday before I moved out of the New York area. They had homemade Mozzarella, made fresh everyday and they made their own bread and summer sausages. The best sausages ever… had brocollini in it. Frank even showed my son how to make the sausages. I also order bacon slab with the skin on which was amazing and at a great price. It was special order. He has authentic Italian products and he is so good with taking special orders… so miss this place.

I came here looking for some authentic Italian cold cuts, but all they really have(for the most part) is Boar’s Head products. Not really authentic enough for me. If you’re like me and want some great imported products, go to A&S Pork Store in East Islip instead.

Real deal Italian Specialty Food Store with in-house Deli and separate Meat Macellaria. Good service, a little on the slow side, since staff wants to be thorough in getting your order correct and offer any needed extras. Have them heat up a rice ball to go, guaranteed one of the best things you’ll ever eat.
