I came here a few years back and the hot wings were delicious especially with beer. Today I decided to go get some wings from Kyochong on Springfield Blvd. They taste good and very spicy. Will go back again.

Was in the mood for Kyochon chicken(knowing it doesn’t exists anymore) and decided to visit Bayside Chicken. The chicken is still very tasty but I’ve decided to minus one star because now you have to ask for the salad and pickle with the order. If you don’t, they will not tell you that they’re included… even though they’re free.

It’s funny how I can cook pratically any to all types of dishes from seafood to all types of meat… but french fries is my # 1 weakness. I can’t seem to make the perfect fry?! Sadly, I have to settle and praise on the people who does know how to make it! Yes you heard it! Bayside Chicken makes one of the kick asses of fries! What about the chicken, Johnny? I wanna know about the chicken !? Well, their good… nothing to raid about… Can’t go wrong with soy garlic. Although their chicken tenders are interesting… Since they deep fried it with rice krispies. I also like the fact that every meal you get a little yogurt for free! I didn’t give it a perfect score cause all the food is at that level. It’s not a must have. But a great place to hang with friends.

Have eaten here on multiple occassions and the service is great! It’s a little quiet since it’s in a weird location but works for me! Always get great service and they give you little yogurt samples to end your meal with. Would love it cept it tastes like stale bread LoL Also, they gotta lower their prices. No way chicken should cost nearly $ 1 a piece! weh!

Bayside chicken is still the same old Kyochon. I usually order the soy wings with sides of fries. Their chicken steak is pretty good too, they give huge portions of it.

Formerly known as Bön Chon Chicken this place has not changed. The wings are AMAZING! Crispy on the outside and soo tender on the inside. The original is a soy garlic flavor. I went yesterday with a friend of mine and we tried the chicken fried rice which we really enjoyed. Service is great and when you eat in you get a free sample of their frozen yogurt which is a nice treat!

So I finally got my Korean chicken fix… the first time I wanted to get it, I walked into the place, they had really nice workers, and I asked for 2 wings, 2 for me and 2 for my sister. They were like«It’ll take 15 minutes». I almost died. I’m not used to waiting for fried chicken like this, especially 4 pieces… I said oh hell no and then I walked out. But I heard that it was something I had to experience so I went back another day and got 20 wings this time… and I did wait 15 minutes, so I went to CVS in the meantime and bought some halal across the street(yes more food cuzimfat). I ordered the regular wings and the hot. The hot wings were yum, they were crispy and saucy at the same time even after bringing them back to my sister’s which was 15 minutes away. The fries were awesome, they were piled high and packed to go, extra extra crispy even when they were cold. Nothing too special, I doubt I’ll wait another 15 minutes for these wings again. And it was annoying, I went around the time when high school students were coming out, so all these annoying kids were slap fighting in front of the store. I recommend you to not go that time!

I stopped by this spot based on the rave reviews from Unilocal.I came specifically for the hot wings and ordered the small wings that were 4 for $ 8 I think. I was like damn these little wings better be good for this price and they were. They were very tasty and not greasy. The chicken came with some shredded cabbage which they could’ve kept. I will return only if I am in the neighborhood. I would drive to super wings in Brooklyn where you definitely get more for $ and the wings taste 10X better.

In the past I would have given these guys 4 stars. The wings were crispy and the sauce was tasty, and my wife and I really loved the fried. But this past Sunday during the Super Bowl, we were left disappointed. I ordered in advance, knowing the place would be swamped(it was Super Bowl Sunday AND its a wing place). When I got the the place, the first thing I notice was the smell of oil… not good oil, but oil that smelled like it needed to be changed. Not pleasant. Then I got home with the wing, and while tasty, they were not crispy on the outside at all. It seemed to us that since they were doing high volume and dropping many order of wings, their oil temperature was probably not as high as it should be, thus the lack of crispness. Again, yes it was super bowl Sunday and they were probably overwhelmed. But if you are a wing place, you need to be ready. Should have had all new oil in the fryers. Should of kicked up the temp on those bad boys.

Fried chicken as Korean comfort food? Who knew? For those who aren’t indoctrinated in Korean fried chicken, it’s not like the normal Southern fried chicken you might be thinking of. It’s smaller and more soy sauce based. I prefer the spicy wings that almost too hott. Being Korean myself I love the extra spice. Now for a little background, this place used to be a Kyochon, but I suppose they went independent. It’s just as good. For a better experience come here later when it’s not too crowded and not too empty. For those who’ve been there a few times know what i’m talking about. This place isn’t a fancy place or a mind blowing experience. This is the place I come to with the friends from queens and get a pitcher of beer and get some wings. BTW the pitchers are for Koreans who know metric. They come in 2000 cc and 3000cc. That means big pitcher and even bigger pitcher.

I came here with my fiancée one day cause I told her how awesome the chicken was when I had it. We got the spicy chicken wings and I warned her it was super hot but we ordered them anyway. We also got fries and a small side of white rice. Food was delicious but it seemed kinda empty inside especially cause of its location. There’s a community college and a high school just a block down and you would think that the students would come there after school to grab a bite to eat. Think again. the prices of the place is kind of ridiculous. I mean yeah it’s good, but it’s not that great compared to the other place that I have it on northern blvd. Bottom line: Great place to just pick up and go. Don’t eat there it’s nice inside but it feels like you don’t belong.

Although this place is called Bayside Chicken, they still package their to-go food in kyochon bags and boxes. The spicy wings were good, but the original lacked sauce n was a bit dry. Their fries weren’t anything special and were fried till they were almost brown… I prefer my fries golden looking. We ordered 20(half spicy/half original) and even though they are small in size, the two of us couldn’t finish the box. Bottom line… stick with the wings, esp. the spicy ones(which isn’t THAT spicy but gives a good kick of flavor).

Apparently something happened, and for one wknd they closed down, reopened the following wk, not only with the wall fixed, but name changed and all O_o That’s right, everything«KyoChon» has been erased and they are now Bayside Chicken(I wish they thought of something cooler). New addition to the existing menu are cold soba, spicy seafood ramen, beef over rice(aka bulgoki rice), and tonkatsu don(though they spell it Donkatsu)… ok! Prices are nowhere seen for the new items, so I guess you just hafta ask. We ordered few pieces of the spicy wings just to make sure that still taste the same. Whiew! Cold soba, like Haru S. mentioned was nothing special, but no complaints either. My friend noted that they ice the dipping sauce instead of icing the noodles like other places usually do. It wasn’t particularly bad or anything, just personal preference. The noodles came out lukewarm, while the dipping sauce had ice cubes inside. The sides included diced scallion, wasabi, tempura crunchies, and mashed daikon. Interesting! This was $ 8.99 as we later on found out. Regretfully, I was far from happy camper with my bulgoki rice… Thickly sliced beef came out with stir-fried scallion, carrots, and onions that were still half raw, packing a bite. The mixed veggies really took away from the meat, which really isn’t what this dish is about –_– I swept it all aside and picked out the beef to go with the rice only. This was also $ 8.99, and I’m contemplating on asking for it in the future sans the messy bed of veggies. Plus notes: Fries are super delicious when you eat-in as opposed to take out. We got them first at the beginning of the meal and they only started to turn soggy at the end of our meal after we ate everything. Frozen yogurt now comes with rainbow mochi! So cute ^_^

I was driving by and felt compelled to check out this Korean chicken fast food spot. Upon entry, really confusing set up. Looks like a trendy Korean juice bar that was slammed by a home furniture close out during a tornado or something. And then it’s a candy shop(probably b/c of all the kiddies taking the bus out in front). That being said, I’m not here for the atmosphere, so let’s see what the food is about. Ordered the Chicken Bulgogi. It came with a shredded cabbage salad which was very simple as a starter but nice nonetheless. Creamy mayo dressing, it did the job. Chicken Bulgogi is actually quite nice with a real spice kick. They were even nice enough to donate some kimchi from the staff’s fridge(oddly enough they don’t offer it on the menu). Almost done with the meal and have to say that for 12 bucks I’m quite satisfied. Side note: some guy just walked in asking if they sell bottle water to which they replied yes $ 1.50 and he steamed off muttering ripoff this, ripoff that. Rough crowd. Anyway. All in all, I like this place for what it’s supposed to be. Relatively cheap and tasty lunch. Success.

The chicken is great but I like Mad for Chicken a lot more. I don’t really like the crowd here. Most of the time after high school students get out it’s always crowded with students. Very loud and the place doesn’t really have a good vibe/ambiance but they got some good chicken. I like coming here and ordering take out then taking it home watch a movie while eating these spicy fried chicken. I’d recommend this place for take out so you can relax at home and enjoy your chicken. =]

Great fried Chicken with speedy and friendly service. The fries were delicious, and the string cheese were oozing of great cheesiness. Location is great(right off the LIE(Springfield Exit) with Free parking in the back. The only thing is that some pieces are just too small or too dry, but they also threw in some extra wings in for free. The frozen yogurt they have is great too! It’s nothing like Red Mango, but something about it has me craving for more. =)

Damn… I finally realized WHY I was not craving for Kyochon? Because I had Other KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) That are better than This!!! Well… It’s not THAT bad, but I’ve had better Fried Chicken Wings In NYC. The prices are about the same, but I guess it’s just convenient??? (Ordered a whole chicken) the meat is a bit dry, with a hint of soy sauce flavor. Chicken Fried Rice was pretty good, mini chunks of chicken and a tasty rice. Fries… Typical, so I can’t WOW myself for this one. Hm… Not much to say, it’s just CHICKEN!!!

Kfc vs. kyochon chicken… Kyochon chicken serves the most delectable chicken it has been my pleasure of tasting. Each bite I savored and wished that it would never end. Unfortunately due to the high price, i had to minus one star Sorry kyochon. Lower your prices by scoring of dollars and I’ll be a regular fo’ sho’

My friends and I got here around 10:15PM and they close at 11PM. We hurried and ordered 2 orders of wings. One order of the spicy and one order of the regular, which is a total of 50 wings. They were so nice they gave us a basket of fries on the house. The fries were pretty good even without ketchup. We also ordered 2 dishes of spicy chicken rice cakes, which I liked, but my friend’s boyfriends found it too spicy. And funny thing is I’m the weaksauce when it comes to spicy food, so if I can handle it most people can. But I guess they are even weaker haha. We also ordered a dish of chicken bulgogi, which was very flavorful. So how are the wings? They were really crispy and juicy. I ate one spicy wing and I was fine, but after that my lips were on fire and everything I ate tasted spicy — even the regular wings. These spicy wings should come with a warning label. So I moved on to the regular wings and they were pretty yummy. But I decided to get a second spicy wing, but what was I thinking? Haven’t I learned my lesson after the first? I guess not. And soda doesn’t even ease the burning sensation in my mouth, had to down it with water. By the time we were done with our food it was already 11:20pm because it took awhile for them to bring out our orders. They also gave us frozen yogurt, which really helped the burning in my mouth. Warning: Spicy wings is not for the weak — pointing this out to Anthony(friend’s bf) haha
