We come to this Korean restaurant about once a month. My wife likes their spicy tuna kimbab or bibimbob. And I usually order seafood handmade noodles or boiled beef soup.

They say closing time is 10pm but show up any time after 9pm, don’t expect to be able to dine in. They give you the option of ordering take out if that suits you at the moment.

I absolutely LOVE eating here, especially for quick meals! It does get busy during the peak hours(lunch time-3pm) due to the many schools around it so if you want to get a table — there will most likely be a wait. If you’re ordering out, call in first! Usually when I come with friends, I get the couple set because it gives us more than enough food for a decent price and you get a little bit of everything(donkatsu, dukbokki, kimbap, salad). The kimbaps themselves are also delicious. But sometimes the service can be spotty but you can tell how busy they are. The waitresses never stop running around trying to serve all the customers. The prices here are unbeatable($ 5−7/roll) and they’re big rolls! There’s even a parking lot in the back so you don’t have to worry about pesky street parking(even though the neighborhood isn’t that bad for street parking either).

When you review a restaurant that shares the same menu and name you would think it’s a chain or franchise. This warrants a comparison between the Springfield and Northern locations. Food for both locations tastes good but there are obvious differences on preparation/presentation. The service at the Springfield location is just plain horrible. The staff needs a lot of training. Don’t assume that I’m Chinese and give me a Chinese menu. The lack of strong management tends to run with the staff. I asked for cold water and they gave me the refillable bottle that wasn’t screwed on. I was lucky and quick enough to prevent a disaster. Summary Preparation = go to Springfield(larger portions for the same price and the food taste just about the same) Presentation = go to Northern(the smaller portions help the ambiance of the quaint spot) Service = go to Northern(the staff know what they’re doing and are responsive) Springfield location = 2 stars Northern location = 4 stars

rolly kimbab’s my $hit. the selection of korean sushi you are offered is both experimental and traditional(if you would call kimbab a traditional dish in the first place). Although most dishes are korean derivatives and have korean names, you can see their love of many different cultures you wouldn’t see other places putting together. Altought it looks and feels like a 21st century Korean café this place is more than a 21st century korean café. It’s its own thing, the owners show a very big open mind and draws influence from many western and eastern ideas.

I loved their food. I went with a group of 5 and we all got our food way spaced apart. I just ate everyone’s food while waiting for my own to come. The food was delicious, I took the leftover to go with my friends. It’s not my first time here and they never fail to make the food so delicious. I always end up back here!!! Highly recommend. Plus*** there is parking in the back!

If you see my review for the Rolly on Northern Boulevard in Flushing, the menu and quality of food is exactly the same. In fact, this location has that one beat in terms of space(this one is probably double the size) and the private parking lot in the back. But because this one is bigger, service is more spotty — sometimes it’s quick and efficient and other times it feels like we have to wait awhile. Have also had orders wrong, with some items not ever coming. Also, since this one is in a very busy part of the neighborhood, especially with a high school nearby, it can get very busy during certain times and have long waits. No huge deal breakers, but stuff to keep in mind. Still a decent place for a quick, tasty and cheap meal.

I do like this place, I do. but sometimes, the service rally sucks. you really have to yell at the waiter/waitress to tend to you sometimes. but, food is decent and prices are even better! small place with bathroom and soup + 2 side dishes.

Well, it’s not my favorite place for Korean Bunshik but it’s a lot closer and more convenient than going to Kim Ga Nae in flushing. And also they have the«sets»(combos) so it has by default become my go to place. Food: I like their combination plates; their couples set and super sets give just the right amount of food for 2 – 3 people; good mix of donkatsu, dukbokki, fried rice, and salad. This is what other boonshik places lacked; good job Rolly! price is pretty on point there too, roughly $ 20 – 22 for this. Service: it’s kind of hit or miss, but your typical Korean place with young staff. That’s all I really have to say, I guess one plus is parking in the back and red mango next door?

The execution of the kimbap was fine, just the idea of kimbap is not that exciting to me. It kinda feels like something you feed to little kids, like if I went to grade school in Korea, I think I would have a slight more fondness towards it. The food: Rolly Kimbab– ham, egg, burdock, carrot, cucumber, fishcake, sweet radish. This was really filling. The kimbab was huge and it kinda felt the standard thing to get. Avocado & Tuna Kimbab– This was pretty good but it was just tuna salad with chunks of avocado. The flavor was pretty good, but nothing to really jump out at you.

4.5 :) This is a place you can take for granted if you live, work, or go to school nearby. I’ve only been here for lunch and only ordered rice balls and kimbabs so for me, it’s a great spot for a quick bite! I’m sure their bigger dishes are awesome too! Their décor is cute, they’ve got wooden tables, bamboo looking seats — which are really comfy — and they make great use of the narrow space. Like I said, I normally get the rice balls and the kimbap with Bulgogi, spicy squid, or even the shrimp tempura kimbab they’re all very affordable and every time I get them, they come with a bunch of sides and miso soup — oh how I love the Korean way. Make sure you ask for spicy mayo on the side. As you can see, I spelled kimbab/kimbap two different ways cause I don’t exactly know which one is the correct one, I’ve seen it used both ways haha, so hopefully someone can help me with that! Honestly, the only issue I have here is that it’s a dead spot for LTE. But I guess it’s good in a sense that I can eat without all the distractions of social media.

I came here for the first time recently and the food/service is definitely not up to par with the northern boulevard location. They also charge tax on all purchases, including when paying with cash. My spicy tuna kimbap was soggy and the tuna was suuuper watery… Will not come here again, stick to the original location! 5 stars for there!

Today was my third time going to this place, which I think, at this point, is solid. I had the cup bap(cup rice) and omelette rice. I prefer the cup bap, because it’s not as bland as the omelette rice was, I think. The omelette rice was a bit lacking in terms of taste– the sauces drizzled on the omelette were tasted too tart, and without that, the dish would’ve otherwise have been bland. I’m glad it was filling and a familiar dish to me, though. I appreciated the free soup I got with my order, though I wish that the side dishes I got(cucumber, picked cabbage) were more fresh than they were, and I wish that ice water refills were more easily available. But other than that, I’m pretty satisfied with the food here.

As with their Northern Blvd location, Rolly Kimbab hasn’t disappointed. Their kimbab rolls are quickly made, very good and nicely priced. It’s also nice to know that now I don’t have to drive further away when we’re in the mood for Korean kimbab…

Rolly kimbab is amazing place to sit down and eat or to grab some food on the go. Their kimbab are amazing. Some of my favorite would be the pork kimbab(so crisp) and the spicy squid(not as spicy as you would think so don’t worry!) The venue is nice and the staff is amazing. One tip though; it is very easy to over order! One kimbab is a lot! So be careful not to order too much or you would be asking for take out boxes! P. S. Rice balls are a must!

The service here is excellent and the available variety is splendid — there’s something for everyone. Each roll is enormous and the value is great. Even if you’re not thinking of eating kimbab, you have great alternatives — the pork katsu is crisp and tasty with the sauces; the bulgogi cupbab is delicious with a great balance of rice, egg, meat, and heat; the spicy rice cake packs a punch if you really want to work up a sweat. The only gray area I can think of mentioning is the rolls aren’t as spicy as the menu might indicate(e.g., spicy squid).

Woah, I didn’t review this place yet? My go-to Korean restaurant(because I live super close). Their food and portions are amazing, the interior is cute and small, and overall the staff is friendly. Spicy chicken rice ball, pork cutlet meal, and seasoned pork meal are the bomb. I’ve had tons of other things on the menu too, so I recommend you try anything that you’re stomach tells you to. **Overall, I will keep coming back and will recommend to friends.

My sister brought some of their kimbap home for us to try and I’ll say it was pretty disappointing. The rolls themselves were huge and great portions but it didn’t taste very good. They have a lot of different fillings but the flavor a ended up clashing. We got the donkatsu kimbap that had a weird piece of ham in it And spicy tuna that had a bitter herb in it. The texture was just odd. I haven’t tried their other dishes but I guess sitting in May probably be better than taking out because we got very little and forgettable banchan and a not very tasty soup. I may give this place a second chance one day. On the upside it’s conveniently located off the Long island expressway in Springfield.

A great Korean place for a quick, cheap and well-portioned meal. Not only are their portions larger than a typical Korean restaurant, but also their food is not highly concentrated with MSG. I tend to be really sensitive to MSG, getting bad headaches and drowsiness. I didn’t have that here. The menu is long with many varieties of dishes. While overwhelming at first, it’s nice to have many options especially when you’re with larger groups. It’s clean. Staff is friendly. Decent place!

I was first exposed to Rolly Kimbab at the Northern Blvd location and since then fell in love with their food. I’m not going to elaborate more on what to eat here since I wrote it all on the Rolly Kimbab Northern blvd review. The main different between the two restaurant is SPACE. The original Rolly Kimbab on Northern Blvd is small, probably sits around 16 people max and is always crowded, the one on Springfield is much bigger, have a lot more waiter and waitresses and food comes out a bit quicker. Oh and the Rolly in Springfield also have a giant parking lot in the back so you won’t have problem finding parking. Food wise, both store tasted about the same. Although I didn’t see the rolled omelette kimbab in the Springfield store menu, but they do have it, you can just order it and they will make it for you. Before you order, understand their kimbabs are big, around 10 pieces to a roll and their Couple/Special sets can feed probably a good 3 – 4 people, so start by under order and order some more if needed. I made that mistake several times but it was a delicious mistake! My favorite is still the Special/Couple sets, they give you the best bang for your bucks and all their kimbabs are excellent especially the rolled Omelette kimbab, it must be the egg keeping the rice warm and moist. Service: fast, as with most Asian restaurants, they will feed you as quickly as possible, we got our food in 10 mins or so. Price: Good, with huge portions served, you probably can get away with around $ 10 per person! Overall: Rolly is definitely a great food option on Springfield serving some of the best kimbabs around the Bayside area. With great prices, tasty food(big portion) and fast service, Rolly has quickly become my go-to kimbab place here on Springfield Blvd.
