Ivy League Early Learning Academy of Bayside

My son has been attending the daycare program since September 2015 and its been great. He had a tough time transitioning from home care to daycare but the teachers and staff were patient from Day 1 and although it took him a while to get comfortable, he now loves going to school everyday. I could not ask for a better experience and I will be sending my son here for the forseeable future.

Why choose this school? Because safety is paramount for your child then comes education. I have gone to a couple of daycare programs and this one takes the cake. Video cameras in each room to monitor teachers and children, email alerts to your phone with photos and sometimes even video of your child throughout the day. Want to know what your child ate or what they did while you were at work… no problem… no more I don’t know answers from your kiddos… at the end of the day you get a full run through of the day. ID’s are required if they don’t know you and you are picking up a child and excellent staff members that make sure they get to know your child. As far as education is concerned, they have amazing staff. My son was more than ready for kindergarten when he left. He was reading before even stepping foot into that kindergarten classroom. If you have any doubts about this school don’t…they will take care of your children. I was happy that my son made friends there and proud to say he attending this learning facility. If your wondering why I didn’t give it a full five stars… it’s cause it is costly. There are fees if your late to pick up your child, fees if you pay your tuition late, and fees if you use a credit card. But you pay for what you get… and in this case, you are paying for an excellent education and the safety of your child.

My son has been attending Ivy League for about the last 8 years. This location was formerly a Tutor Time franchise but they switched to Ivy League a couple of years or so ago.
During the first few years, he attended their daycare program and for the past few years, since he’s been in elementary school, he’s been attending their summer camp program.
Before we had first enrolled him, we explored at least 3 – 4 other care centers but chose (then) Tutor Time because of their friendly staff, clean facilities, through explanation of safety & cleanliness protocols, vibrant facilities, and just the gut feeling we had that this was the place for our toddler. I can say that all the caretakers over the years have been wonderful, incredibly friendly, and have taken great care of our son.
Years later, some of his earlier care providers are still there and they’re just as friendly and happy to see him as when they were caring for him. The front desk staff/​admin folks are also very helpful and sweet.
Their summer camp, too, has been a great resource. Rather than just sitting at the facility all day, being bored, and unengaged or glued to a TV, they have daily outings which keep the campers entertained and interested. There is also some downtime but a lot of their day at camp is on the go, exploring the next venue and, in general, having a great time.
Currently, the cost is $ 395/​week but that really does provide a lot, including lunch many days and covering the cost of all their excursions/​trips. Relative to the cost of other summer camps we checked out and what they offer, this is a fair price in my opinion.
In addition, there are still a few kids that have been there since our son’s toddler days but he has made several new friends over the years as well. Another huge plus is the diversity found not only in the children/​campers but within the staff as well.
A couple of years ago, the bus they used to transport the campers had some mechanical issues. I was pleased that they invested in a new, modern bus rather than trying to continue to get by with the older one. I appreciated the investment they made and for doing so without raising prices very much at all. As a matter of fact, their cost has been pretty stable over all the years.
All in all, I really don’t have anything negative to say about this Ivy League franchise. In fact, I don’t hand out 5 stars on my reviews very often but gladly do that here.
