This bar has the tastiest wings! Their sangria was watered down, but boy… those wings were amazing! Words cannot describe how great they were. The fries were crispy and fresh. I would definitely come back for the food and maybe try their fish bowl drinks.

So disappointed. Congas was a great place, but the staff realllyyyy sucks now. There’s a fairly new girl(well, compared to how long I’ve been going there at least) Stephanie, who honestly makes amazing drinks but she has a terrible attitude. I got here at around 6:30 and my first drink was great. I had a bad experience with her in the past, but was happy that she seemed nicer today so I told her how great the drink was. Unfortunately she forgot my boyfriend and I existed after that. I asked two other bartenders for help within the following 45 minutes, finally receiving my second drink at around 7:30(from another bartender, the drink was very off). My food never showed up, I’m convinced she forgot to put in the order. When the other bartender mentioned me her response was«oh shit.» I had already asked Stephanie for a drink twice by then. I ended up cancelling the food order and going somewhere else, which sucks since I literally come here all the time and like their food. I can totally understand forgetting, we are all human. It’s the attitude that pisses me off. While one bartender was apologetic and said she probably forgot, Stephanie never apologized or seemed even a bit concerned about how I felt watching her ignore me for an hour. She actually looked a little pissed that I decided to leave, as if I didn’t know she would have DEF done the same in my position. Mediocre food and great service elsewhere always beats poor service, even at a place that im considered a «regular» at. Sad to say, I’ll probably walk out if I go there and see her again. I wish I knew all of their names because some of the bartenders are fantastic. One that I loved, Desiree doesnt work here anymore, but Stephanie should probably never work in customer service… ever.

Came to Conga’s to celebrate a friends promotion and relocation. My friends were on the second floor so I went straight up the stairs. I didn’t really get to see the first floor fully but the place is small. The upstairs reminded me of the second floor a house: 3 rooms and a hallway. The«rooms» at Conga’s were sections. 1 corner for the bar, the hallway, one corner with seats and tables, then another section for the dance floor and DJ. I ordered a $ 15 fish bowl with pineapple vodka, club soda, pineapple and cranberry juice. Conga’s say it’s a fish bowl, but it’s much smaller than a regular fish bowl. The drink tasted ok but the buzz was not present like it should be. I saw my friend walking around with a pitcher and a straw in it and he said there were pitchers of sangria for $ 10. I wish I would have known that. He said it was good so I probably would have enjoyed it better than that fishbowl. The dance floor was too tight. Conga’s mostly plays Spanish music and there was not enough room for all of that with the amount of people there that night. Everyone kept bumping into each other and was on top of one another… It probably was a fire hazard.

We came in and after a few minutes a waitress came over. We said we needed a few minutes and then she didn’t come back! We decided to move over to the bar to see if we would be accommodated and even that took a while. The bartender asked for our IDs and then walked away for five minutes without even taking our order. We decided to give it another five minutes and if she didn’t take our order we were leaving. She did take our order and we got the BBQ Hickory wings, Garlic Parmesan Wings, Medium Buffalo wings, a Blue Moon, Stella and a Blue Hawaiian fishbowl. The BBQ wings and medium wings were pretty good. The Parmesan were okay. The fishbowl was pretty good but had so much ice! Overall, with the horrible service and only okay food, I probably wouldn’t come back.

Had a good time, drinks are reasonably priced and good music. The fish bowl is half size and $ 15. Not bad being that it could fill 5 plastic size cups. The Margarita is $ 9, the cup is big as well. They play spanish but mix it up pretty well with some reggae, hip hop and fist pumping. The upstairs starts picking up like 12a but opens 11p. I didn’t have any issue walking in at 1030 and grabbing a seat downstairs. Would definitely say it’s a go to location for a Saturday night in queens.

Let me start this review off by saying I had high expectations for this place because of the previous reviews & a fellow Unilocaler recommending it. I really do not understand the hype. Conga’s you have disappointed me with your rude bartender & expensive fish bowl that was really a cup! I get that at a bar music is blaring & there will be people that are drunk/screaming. The farewell game for Jeter was playing in the background but that does not justify why we were ignored when we sat at the bar. We literally sat at the bar waiting for menus while the patrons around us had their drinks in hand laughing & chatting it up. I tried to get Estephanie’s attention only for her to look right through us like she was an extra in the movie Ghost. I didn’t know I was Demi & she was playing Patrick. After an additional 10 minutes another woman came to serve us. Oh joy!(Insert sarcastic face here). The Blue Hawaiian fish cup(not bowl) was delicious & gave me a nice buzz once I got to the bottom. Be sure to mix it upon arrival because it tastes like a blue Piña Colada at first. I ordered the Jack Daniel’s Wings which lacked flavor & sauce. I could have done without them & went with my first choice of the Honey Mustard wings. I also think that if you order more than 5 wings you should get additional blue cheese with no charge.

Came here to kick off my weekend and was a bit disappointed. Congas is a college party atmosphere for Adults. The Specials are great if you can get a Bartender to give you the time of day if you are not a «Regular». The staple item here is the CRANBERRYHONEYMUSTARDWINGS. They were finger lickin good! I was hooked! I paired it with a Fish Bowl Blue Hawaiian and was in a Coma. I would say this is a good spot for Sunday & Monday Night Football. Beer & Wings only. The DJ was spinnin hella Reggae ol school and popping Top 40 but the place was too small to get your Dub on. The bar extended for MILES and the upstairs was like Nana’s Attic. I mean, what did they expect us to do up there ??? Store clothes?

After looking at reviews for restaurants/bars on bell, I was shocked to see this had so many stars! So I had to try it out. Honestly I wasn’t impressed. There are better restaurants/bars on bell that I’d recommend and would rather eat at than here. To start, they offered complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was good, which was probably because it was a jarred salsa brand. The chips tasted stale. We went with the wings for our meal since everyone raved about them. They were good, they are probably the second best wings on bell(compared to Press, local and beer belly)…but if I am going to get wings again on Bell it will be at Dempseys. We had the Thai Chili wings(definitely recommend) and hot wings(not so much). For drinks we had the blue hawaiin in a fish bowl. Again it was good, but not impressed and it wasn’t THAT strong. I was expecting to be looped afterwards and for $ 15 I would have liked to have been looped! The interior and bar area can also use a good updating.

Congas. Over the years, you have been a stalwart in my life and in Queens. 25 cent wings and twofers for all NFL games. COME. ON. I love your wings. I love your service. I love your wildly badass and so cool that they’re sexy bartenders. The wings bro. The wings. Their standard hot wings are great, the cranberry honey mustard wings are sweet but a great change of pace like Forsett is for the Ravens, the old bay wings are classic, and the BBQ is legit. I think I’ve had all flavors, but the aforementioned ones are the way to go. They don’t have a large beer selection, but you’ll definitely find something you like. The environment is loud, raucous and always great, and when the Jets or Giants get in the end zone, listen for that bell and celebrate. Forget the other bars that flank Congas. You want to be here.

I’ve always been a fan of this place and used to be a regular. The owners are nice and the bartenders are great… Well, the old bartenders. I don’t know if the new girls are just«new», but they sure don’t equal up to the normal girls. Estephanie or whatever her name is, she’s kind of a jerk with a horrible attitude. she makes me want to stop going here altogether. And every time i come she mentions that she’s drunk or hungover. TMI, girl. I took two stars because of the new bartenders but really this place was a 5star spot when I used to frequent it. Great wing specials, 2 for 1 happy hour and the old bartenders made the BEST drinks with a smile. :) Try the conga fishbowl.

review update and they lose a star. came here with my friend because we were craving the wings since we had a good time a few months ago. too bad after tonight I won’t be back for a very long time. the old bay was super salty. my blood pressure definitely went up sky high. I ate 2 pieces and stopped. maybe future visits I will ask for sauce on the side. the hot was not so bad just not enough kick. blackened fries are always good but next time I will have to ask for it to be lightly seasoned. ordered a virginia piña colada and it was kinda too sweet. couldn’t finish my drink. ordered a blue moon but the waitress took a long time to come back with it. oh wait actually she never came with it and said she didn’t forget about me and asked if I ordered a Stella. I was dying of thirst from the salty food and she took so long to get me a damn drink and they didn’t even have it. I had to settle for a corona since I didn’t like the selections on tap. we saw a flyer showing they had pacifico deal on Wednesdays. my friend loves pacifico so we asked the waitress for it and of course they didn’t have it. she said they won’t have it anymore. but why is their a flyer on the table showing a Wednesday deal for it? they need to update their menu with what they have on draft. they don’t have cherry wheat anymore either. very annoying to want something and they don’t have it even though the menu shows they did. also she’s the only one taking orders and making drinks so it’s best to sit at the bar if u want attention to order stuff or else you will have to wait for her to come around and ask. I’m sure other days like Friday and Saturday they have more waitresses but I hate slow service. the guy that brings the food up from the kitchen in the basement is awesome. friendly and helped us get our check faster and take away our dirty dishes when we were done.

Stumbled upon this from a Unilocal review and the fish bowl drinks. We ordered the blue Hawaiian fish bowl, Miami vice(a bit sweet for my liking) and lime in a coconut and a few appetizers. The appetizers are decent but the drinks are good if Ava makes it. She is our favorite bartender and she makes the best mojito in town! She actually muddles the drink and it’s way better than some of the fancy places in the city! Make sure Ava makes your drink!!! Would recommend this place for happy hour or just a casual outing with friends! Enjoy! Happy hour is 4:30−8 2 for 1 drinks not including the mojito and top shelf margarita. 2 for 1 appetizers –mozzarella sticks and down from the menu and the wings.

I introduced my boyfriend and his buddies to Conga’s last weekend, and they absolutely loved it. You really can’t beat their 25 cent wings special on Sundays! After ordering 80 wings and 14+ beers, the bill only came out to $ 50 between the four of us. Their wings are meaty, with just the right amount of crisp, and come in so many different flavors.(I recommend the Garlic Parmesan and Cranberry Honey Mustard.) Stephanie is the best server you could ask for — she gave us the rundown of all the specials they have throughout the week, and lots of wristbands for ladies’ night on Thursdays. On the topic of ladies’ night, who doesn’t love free drinks from 9pm-midnight? Unfortunately, the ratio of women to men is too high. They open the dance floor around 11pm, but the DJ plays from a laptop setlist instead of mixing his own tracks live. I suppose that would be my only complaint. I give him credit for playing electronic music, though!

I think I came in on the perfect day to use m Group on . FATHER’s DAY Sunday for the win! I was presented with AMAZING service on this day partially because… 1) I came just when they open… okay maybe 10 minutes earlier than their 4pm open for business time. I’m pretty sure the bartender was still taking the plastic cover-ups off the liquor bottles. I’m also pretty certain I beat the second bartender to her shift time because she came in as my seat was lukewarm. Point for me. 2). It was a slow day. Even when I was leaving the place there were about 12 people dining. Of those 12 people, 6 was Asian. What does this tell you? Not a damn thing.
I thought I just point this out to all my Asian peope who might have felt uncomfortable entering a place name Congo’s *cough, I mean Conga’s. 3) These girls(bartender) work for their tips.
They were extremely FRIENDLY not to be confused with the other kind of «friendly». They were attentive. i must have gotten checked on about 7 times throughout my stay. Must have been that Justin Chon driver’s license I showed them when they ID’d me. Sike! Maybe… On this day they had 25¢ wings BOGO on any drinks mixed with the first 2 levels of liquor shelf going up. The drinks were well poured not to be confused with well liquor pour. These were name brand liquid couragement. You definitely got your value’s worth. I did what no self respecting person should ever do… Tried to order every type of wings they had in the place… 26 MotherF – king flavors! The MUSTTRIES… A) Island Heat — Sweet and slight tang flavor that is served with a banana mango ranch sauce on the side. AHHMAZEZING! B) Cranberry Honey Mustard — Lighy and sweet flavor with a limey like ranch sauce. C) Super Hot — These wings didn’t get hot until the 4th bite of chicken. Then the heat would not stop like a runny furnace in July. That is the way I like it drippy nostrils and all. AVOID…the Thai Chile flavored wings. It tasted like WARM Housing sauce. For all my non-Asians, Hoisin sauce is used on seafood… now imagine that on wings. You must be trying to self induce a nice blend of stool movement trying to taste all of these sauces… I made it through 4 flavors…10 regular sized wings per basket($ 2.50) 4 drinks and 32 wings later… I was full, tipsy and definitely had to run 5 miles to work off all this fat. I probably should have tried more than just wings but I think I was trying to out do that Japanese guy that wins eating contests. I couldn’t…not by a long shot. Envy? You betcha. The space upstairs is a lounge area with minimal space for dining. I will have to check up on that on my next visit. Bell Boulevard is about to get even more DRUNK. White girls! Wooooohooooo!

This place is Awesome with a capital A! Best wings in the neighborhood, and I’ve been around! Sunday & Mondays they have .25 cent wings. They have soooo many varieties! So meaty, and every flavor I’ve tried is delicious! My personal fave– Jack Daniels. Went with friends and ordered fishbowls… wow! We could hardly walk out of their straight after just ONE!!! Mojitos are pretty good too. Drinks are great, waitresses are very friendly, and the service is pretty good. Music selection is perfect for me. Went once with a groupon and a few times without a groupon. They don’t treat you any different! I love love love this place!

Stopped by here because of their 4−8pm hh(2 for 1 appetizers and drinks) while my friend and I were waiting for Staples to makes a copy of a small booklet. This is going to be our new place now. :) While the bartender wasn’t as attentive as I would normally like her/him to be, their hh is worth it. Plus, they have Angry Orchard on draft – this is becoming my new girly favorite of a beer. We got munchy afterwards and ordered chicken empanadas and 10 spicy Adobo wings. The empanadas were huge for about $ 2 a piece and was overfilled with chicken. I also really liked the wings because they were real and meaty. In the end, our bill for 3 drinks a piece and the food, came out to $ 42(with tax and tip). What a steal. :) I wish we had stumbled upon this place early, even though it is right next to Press and Safari. This is a better place to be a regular at.

The wings here are bangin! On Mondays, wings are 25 cents each. They have a bunch of flavors to choose from. Some place do 10 cent wings but they suck. They’re usually tiny and dry as hell. At Conga’s, the wings are juicy and full of flavor. I also had a basket of fries which were pretty bangin too. Their dipping sauce is good. The bartender here is very friendly. She could make some pretty awesome specialty cocktails. They got Fire Rock Pale Ale on tap, Hoegaarden, Sam Adams, Guinness, and a couple of others one I can’t remember. Verdict — They have different specials every night. They got a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. What I like most about Conga’s now is that they made big changes. Conga’s use to be Brews Brothers which by the way sucked! New owner came in and took it over, got rid of the beer pong table and set up a few comfortable lounge seats. Brews Brothers back then was just lame. They were banking on their Margaritas. I mean come on, your name is Brews Brothers! Specialize in good beers on tap or somethin. Conga’s is a pretty good bar on Bell. The service, food, and drinks are excellent. You won’t see any annoying underage kids in here like before.
