I’m pretty surprised at the abundance of negative reviews. I was skimming through the restaurants in my area and was surprised to see a lower rating for this restaurant. I’ve been here maybe 5 times in the last year. I’ve never had a problem with the customer service here. They are always prompt and courteous. The food is very good. The servings are large. The flavors are packed. I’ve had jjajangmyun, jjampong, mapa tofu and dumplings. They don’t get five stars because the food isn’t exceptional or anything but it’s still tasty and worth your buck.

Horrible customer service. Horrible mix up in our order. First they refused to sit our party of six at table for eight. Two tables of eight were available, yet the waiter indicated there was a wait of an hour. Then he indicated they could not afford to loose two spare spots for other customers. Then the orders were all mixed up with the wrong dishes. The waitress indicated it was our fault for not ordering correctly. The waitress wanted us to pay for the wrong food and then charge us again for ordering the correct food. I would never visit the restaurant again. Please don’t go there to eat.

Horrible. The service was horrible to me and the servers were very rude when I ordered some black noodles the noodles came out raw and we had to keep asking to remake it. When I asked for the third time the servers started to look at us with a bad look and bad mouthed not only me but my family as well. Very disappointed. A complete waste of my time and money. Never going back there again. Maybe other customers have liked it there but it was very harsh and cruel. Also my cup had a lipstick stain on it none of my plates, spoons, forks were clean and was disgusted. The only thing that was clean were the pre packaged wooden chopsticks. Hated it very much. Service, food, cleanliness everything was disappointing with a capital D.

Unimpressed with their jajangmyeon but delightfully impressed with their white jjamppong. I would not recommend the jajangmyeon, dumplings, nor sweet and sour beef. Just stick with the white jjamppong and move along.

One star only because one of the waitresses was rude. This lady was literally asking for more tip when obviously service wasn’t that great… Appetizer was served with main entrée, the water boy literally came around right before we left and that lady had the audacity to ask for more tip LOL

Deee-licious! I’d come back again. The tansooyuk is a bit pricy($ 20), but everything else is decent and the food is great. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night after me craving for jjajjangmyun and it wasn’t too busy. My cousin recommended that I come here and it was a good choice :). Will come back here again.

Best Korean Chinese noodles in town! I love their lunch specials and I’m so glad they came to Bayside(parking reasons) They are always packed & I suggest hiring more people but service is still a-okay. I come here just for the food lol. If they had better service I would come here like every day lmao.

After moving back from being out of the state for a few years we’ve been disappointed restaurant after restaurant at the way the tastes have deteriorated. This place gave us hope again! The JjamPpong’s soup was on point. Not overly spicy that you get all irritated, but spicy enough to chase away any cold that you might feel coming on. I always crave spicy food when I get stressed. This JjamPpong would solve that issue every time. Jjajangmyun…I don’t know why they add big pieces of potatoes in there, but that sort of ruined the taste of a good dish of noodles otherwise. We also had TangSooYook, KanPoongGi… the sauce for TangSooYook was served separately. I liked not having every piece drenched. KanPoongGi, the chewiness of the batter served a good balance with the slightly spicy sauce. The fried dumplings, I honestly would not miss. I’m a huge fan of dumplings and make them myself constantly. I would not trek out in the rain for these dumplings. The fried dough they serve as complimentary dessert… meh. Too hard, too dense. Please don’t bring them out next time. It’s just a waste of food. The overall experience was fine. Our waitress was nice, not too busy, not giving us the stink eye when we sat there and continued to talk with our friends even after we were done eating. I have bookmarked this restaurant as we would definitely go back to this place.

Came here on a Saturday night. You have to find parking in the neighborhood, we scored a close spot around the corner. We got the half jjajang myun and jjampong. It was good. We also got the fried shrimp with spicy sauce. I’d recommend the place as a casual, sit down korean style chinese food. Good for a date or meeting with friends.

I’ve never eaten traditional Korean food before so this was a first. They have us free radish in the beginning, which was a little weird, but I guess that’s just the their thing. I ordered seafood jja jjam myun and I thought that it was really filing for the cheap price of only 10 dollars! Quite the deal! If you wish to have a taste of korean cuisine you should visit this place.

It has a very similar menu to the Jiajiamian spot across from Staples on Northern Blvd. However, this place is better flavored and more spacious. Service was good, I was in and out-would definitely return in the future but nothimg big stand out.

Came here for my friend’s birthday celebration! We made reservations for a party of 13 and we had no problems getting seated. The décor looks great. Everything looked very clean and vibrant and there was even some comfy sofa seating as well. Service, however, was a different story… The lady that was in charge of our table was kind of mean and bossy, which did not sit well with me at all. She just seemed really annoyed for some reason and it was rather disturbing when she just stood there staring at us while we were trying to figure out how to pay the bill… even though there was still plenty of seats available and no one waiting in line. She also blew up on us when we calculated the amount of tip incorrectly which I found very unnecessary… Other than this, I thought the food was alright. We got: Dumplings– On the house! But I didn’t find them to be particularly good tasting. They were mainly made of dough with barely any meat inside. Tang soo yook– We got both the pork and the beef varieties and I found both of them to be very tasty! Way better than the ones at You jajang me jampong since the ones here actually have meat inside. I recommend getting them with the sauce on the side since that way, they’ll end up being a little crispier. Jamja myun– This is split jajang myun and jampong! This is my first time trying the jampong and I thought it was really tasty! The soup was not overly spicy and was filled with seafood and noodles. Even though I’m not a big fan of seafood, I really liked the octopus legs and mussels in the soup. The noodles and vegetables mixed together very well. There was also shrimp in the soup but I don’t eat shrimp so I gave it to my friend lol… The jajang myun, however, was a bit of a disappointment. The sauce was rather bland and the pieces of meat that they added in the sauce did not taste good. I think the jajang myun at You jajang me jampong is better. Fried corn dough– Also on the house and they were magically delicious! Crunchy and sweet when you first bite into them, soft and chewy with more bites. Tasty! Overall, I would say the food here was ok for a jajang myun Korean restaurant. Great décor too. I would’ve given 3.5 stars if we had gotten another server instead because the one that we got was so rude.

Just came back from dinner and I am stuffed! The food came out very quickly, not to mention, the wait staff are on their A-game. I think after taking our orders, the food came out in under 10 minutes. The décor of the restaurant is contemporary and simple. Everything is very clean and didn’t tingle my slightly germaphobic senses. I ordered the normal(black bean sauce noodles) and it was very tasty. I don’t have a sophisticated palate, so don’t bash me if you order it and think otherwise. The price is very reasonable here! I forgot the exact prices for each item that I ordered but for two people, you’ll be spending $ 40 including tip! This would include 2 bowls of black bean sauce noodles and a side order of tang soo yook, which is like a Korean take of sweet and sour chicken or pork. I really hope you guys enjoy this place because I sure did!

Some of the best black bean noodles I’ve ever had. The noodles were toothsome, stringy and had that perfect density. Sauce was lighter than expected but still brought out the deep fermented black bean flavor. Though it was a tad under seasoned for my tasted, I simple added a bit more of the paste they provided on the side with a dash of soy sauce. The Korean style«sweet and sour pork» was nice as well, especially since they brought the sauce on the side as to keep the deep fried nuggets crunchy. Sauce wasn’t as sweet as most other places, which really helped bring out the pork flavor. Much of the time, the sweet sauce over powers the star of the show. Also, got complimentary deep fried wontons(Korean’s call it «service», meaning with their compliments). Nice crunch, very light and puffy with good some nice flavors. Joon Gook Jip has a great reputation in the area and is the GOTO place for«cha cha myung», fermented black bean noodles. BTW, one very cool thing about this place. They actually have, on the table, Korean chili pepper flakes, soy sauce and white vinegar so you can mix and season you dipping sauce to your liking. Most places just have soy sauce. Thought this was a nice touch. And the place is physically an inviting place to dine. Great discover!

Love how big and spacious this place is. My absolute faaaavorite is the Tang Soo Yook(dressing on the side PLS). I like their Jja Jjang Myun too and it is one of the better ones in Queens. I have nothing exceptionally particular to say about their service. I came here many times and never had any problems. The space is well managed — very clean and tables are well spaced out. Personally, I love the huge windows they have. Joong Gook Jib is easily one of my favorite jja jang myun houses.

Solid jjajjangmyun place in Flushing. Im used to going to SamWonGak & ChangWonRo(which closed down!). The samsun jjajjang(noodles with brown sauce and seafood) is solid. Also order the off the menu Kang Poo Ojingoh(deep fried squid with garlic sauce). It’s awesome.

Not bad for a random restaurant right near the highway. My friend brought me here after she raved about their signature dishes. I like to try the best of both worlds since I can’t decide between jjajjangmyun or jjambbong(ah! the eternal dilemma) so I ordered the half and half bowl. We also split one of the secret dishes that’s off menu, which was pretty good. My half and half bowl was good, but I’m probably going to get the jjambbong the next time I come back. Love the clean, spacious restaurant and how their interior designing was on point. It’s probably my go-to place every time I’m craving Asian fusion dishes now.

A new Korean Chinese restaurant that one of my friends found along northern blvd. From the name I assumed that the restaurant would be a Korean take on traditional Chinese food. Located near residential area it isn’t too hard to find parking. We ordered three dishes to share family style. Mapo tofu, spicy fried chicken and ja jiang mien. Mapo tofu is a traditional Chinese dish of tofu cooked in a tongue numbing spicy paste. At this restaurant the spiciness was definitely turned down and a much drier spiciness to it from the jalapenos they used. The tofu wasn’t as moist as the Chinese counterparts but still a good Korean take on the dish. The spicy fried chicken was surprisingly good. The portion was big and when the dish first came out, the chicken was crispy and lightly spiced. Great for dinner but didn’t stand out that much. The ja jiang mien which is another traditional Chinese dish with thick wheat noodles with ground pork and soybean paste. The Korean version has a lighter paste and less meat but was a good dish to spilt between the three of us. Overall, a good dining experience and a very home-cooked type of meal but nothing especially special.
