My fiancée and I had a basic lesson with Tiffinay for our upcoming wedding. Money well spent as I had no clue of anything going in, and after a 45-​minute lesson I feel like I already know a lot more. Would go back in the future and recommend to others.

Middle Village, NY
Friendly people, good music, challenging workout while you have fun. Pound on Monday nights is my favorite along with zumba on Wednesdays. I’m a beginner and feel very comfortable. Very reasonable prices too!

My 6.5 year old daughter has just started taking dance. She started here 2 weeks ago and has been very happy and excited! She studies tap/​jazz and hip hop. I am impressed to see both girls and boys in both classes. My daughter asks me daily if she has dance classes that day. She goes 2 days a week, but wants to go every day! She loves Miss Jennifer and I’m so happy she is doing well :-)

The Queens Dance Project is a fun, friendly and warm atmosphere! All of the teachers are so nice and are professionally trained dancers! They offer all styles of dance for all ages and even have a competition team for the more serious dancer! The owner of a studio is so sweet and always accommodating! I would definitely send your child here!

I’ve been going to Zumba at the Queens Dance Project for over a year now (thanks to a Groupon I found randomly when I first moved here lol). Plenty of room to maneuver (unlike other area dance studios I’ve been to) and everyone’s always so nice! I love Nikki’s class on Wednesday nights and just started going to Susan’s on Mondays, too. Both are terrific instructors, super-​friendly, and I love their dance routines. I love how their classes are in the evening (Zumba is 8pm Wed & 8:15pm Mon) so I can go after work, which is another plus.

I love belly dancing but I couldn’t find a teacher that was patient enough or offered a style that I wanted to learn… Egyptian. I searched through many studios, went and learned from many teachers but they either did not have the patience to teach a beginner class or just strayed from what I consider to be the only acceptable type of belly dance. Some added tribal, african or even masala bangra (indian) movement to their choreography. After searching the internet, I came across Queens Dance Project and decided to give them a try. I have been studying here for the past few months on veil choreography. If you are unsure of a step, the teacher will break it down with you. Thank you!!!
Class prices are about the same as everywhere else…$ 12 for a single class. $ 90 for a 10 class punch card and thanks to other reviewer, I now know that a 20 class punch card is offered for $ 170. I hope to progress much quickly with Queens Dance Project and can’t wait until my first performance in May.

My daughter takes Creative Movement with Miss Jennifer and Miss Cathy and we love the class. My daughter is only two, and this is her first «big girl class» so she’s a little shy and reserved. Jennifer (the owner of the studio) is so patient with her and Cathy, the assistant teacher, is so sweet. I am looking forward to my little girl learning dance from them as she grows. She looks forward to her classes each week, she talks about them and «practices» all week long!

As a dancer for more than 15 years, I had a hard time find a nice studio to fit in and instructors who actually know what they are doing. When I found this studio, my search was over. I’ve been going to Queens Dance Project for some time and have to say these instructors are the reason why I continue to dance and now teach.
You can tell that Jen, the owner/​dancer, chose only the best dance instructors for her students. In my experience, these classes are well planned and I love that the teachers take their time for one-​on-​one.
The Zumba instructor — Nikki — uses an unique style and easy to follow format. I sweat and smile in every class. No matter how stressed out I am, Nikki brings on her «game face» –ready to work it!
I have also been taking Daniela’s Bellydance class for a few years now. She is my inspiration and my «Mother Hen.» She cares about her students and pushes them to be the best bellydancer they can be. He style is so different and flawless; it’s a breath of fresh air. If you want to learn real cabaret bellydance, I recommend her class.
I’ve taken a few workshops with Jen. She’s awesome in so many ways — personable, professional and so much fun to have as an instructor. I haven’t taken other classes here, but I have to bet my experiences will be just as wonderful as the other classes.

The teaching staff is very knowledgable and fun to take class with. They really want the students to succeed and become better dancers. I personally take the Adult Tap class on Monday’s with Nicole and she is amazing. She really gears the classes to the students that are present. I highly recommend her class. Right after her tap class I then take adult hip hop with Kellie who is equally amazing. She breaks down movement so everyone is able to understand it and we all have fun with it while burning lots of calories… great for your monday cardio fix!!!

I bought a 20 class punch card for $ 170. I really enjoy taking the zumba class with Nikki on Wednesdays. She’s one of the best that I’ve had. Her choreography is easy to follow and I love her song choices.
I also took the belly dance class here with Daniela. I think her class is considered beginner’s level. There were some students in her class that have taken her for more than 3 years and they are still seem like novices. That says something about the instructor doesn’t it? Daniela is decent but I am not a fan of her style. She seems more egyptian. I prefer tribal belly dancing.
