I have shopped here for a little over two years. After the first year I started getting a little frustrated at the lack of customer service and lack of employees during really busy check out times, but I have been toughing it out because of its convenient location to my house. BUTTHISISTHELASTSTRAW! Tonight I was about to settle down with my son with a snack that consisted of celery and ranch dressing. I just purchased these items a week ago from Waldbaums. I just so happened to look at the expiration date on the dressing and it is from OCTOBER3,2011!!! This is not the first time I have purchased an expired item from this location. I calmly went back up to the store to notify them of this situation, because after all they probably still had expired dressing on the shelves. The manager was completely rude and did not want to offer me a refund let alone a NEW and FRESH salad dressing stating that I did not have a receipt. I then irately went back and collected ALL of the expired dressings STILL sitting on the shelf and bought it to his attention. Feeling dumbfounded he then gave me refund. This is not the first time this place has been slandered for there not so fresh food! Google them!!! — they haven’t passed health inspections, there have been sightings of rats and roaches. Lets just say that I will finally be doing my shopping elsewhere! Terrible customer service and gross supermarket.

This place sucks, totally over priced. This place is a couple blocks away from me and I’d rather go out of my way and drive to stop and shop. Takes forever to check out. The only good thing about this place is the Raindew next to it.

This store is so overpriced it almost is not worth it to go grocery shopping. I might as well order delivery.

Always the worst Supermarket in the area. Old, disorganized and terrible customer service. Coming back to the old neighborhood I am glad to see not much has changed. This place is a waste of a prime location.

Ok all these people knocking this joint need to take a step back… Is it the best supermarket? Nope. But what they lack in customer service they give back in hours of operation. If you really wanted a true shopping experience, schlep out to Fairway and you can have the luxuries you crave. But, this neighborhood grocery store is always(and I should have put it in caps so here I go: ALWAYS) is open… Here’s what I like best about this store… –Overpriced but when they have sales(and don’t be lazy. pick up a circular) they have some good deals. –Chicken rotisserie is pretty darn good –It’s in a plaza next to a drug store, 7 – 11 and please don’t whine about parking. There is enough and all you have to do is go further back. I support my local business. It’s not their fault that the economy sucketh and they have to cut back on staff on the checkouts. All I know is if it’s late and I got the muchies, I can find something to eat and they have a cross section of everything I want.

I don’t know what it is about this place, but it feels like it always takes an eternity to check-out at this place. The produce section is great, but the prices can be a bit steep. I recommend the ready-made salads(Greek, Chef, Mixed) that can be found by the deli.

Located in a primarilly Jewish area — Waldbaums has a great selection of Kosher products, as well as Vegetarian items. The prices are good too. It’s not as well lit as I’d like and the parking lot is kind of akwardly designed. Plus, sometimes the light to get out takes forever.
