We have eaten here previously when passing through. We are spending the night in a nearby RV Park. I had fried oysters the last time which were good. This time, I had the crawfish po’boy. It came with fries. The crawfish was good & fairly non-greasy for fried. My husband had the catfish. He got four large pieces. He ended up bringing 2 pieces home.

Food wasn’t all that great, but the waitresses were nice. However, the way they were dressed was… too much for a restaurant.

Seafood great, vegetables quite nice. However, the Calamri had a breading, that could have been more flavorful. The Calamari was really tough though, more than usual, not real appetizing. We left it almost untouched, it was that bad. The waitress would ask if everything was good, then not wait for the answer, just run off… Good thing we weren’t unhappy at that time. Let waitress know later about Calamari, and she took it away. She didn’t charge us for it. Made me feel better about her. She got a tip after all.

Big lunch crowd as always, but they move you through quick, and service was great! You cannot get better breading, on fresher shrimp, for a better price. ‘Nuff said. Also, the gumbo is always loaded with fresh seafood, for a very affordable price.

My family and I went to this because in previous time it was good. We had a party of 6, 4 adults and 2 kids. Everyone got their order but my husband had to wait an xtra 10 min for his order. They never told us why but it was ridiculous. The food was okay

Cold gumbo, shrimp po boy with lettuce tomatoes and onion(no flavor). Last week a friend and i popped in at the old baytown location for crawfish. TEENY Tiny crawfish. just stopped by for the 4th time to pick up an order I called in 20 min ago. Been waiting 10 inside. I was told another customer picked it up. An out and out lie I’m sure. Well this is the last time. Unfortunate since I used to come here 15 yrs ago and remember the food and service being great. Go to Tibideaux on Pruett if you’ve got cash and it’s between like 12 and 5. It’s in the old Cherokee dance club parking lot almost

I’m giving a five star review five stars for now. I have not been to this place yet but I’m about to go throw the drive through. After reading the reviews about this place I’m kind of skeptical about the five stars. I will update this review once I have finished my meal. I really hate going to a restaurant that has poor costumer service. That’s a big part of going out to eat and with bad reviews is hard to get new costumers. Ok, so my wife was held up at the drive thru for about twenty mins. She said that wasn’t too bad considering that it takes about that long to cook the food. She didn’t like the food but I did. So I’m going to give the trip two stars.

Food is alright. Ambience is not. Not too crowded on a Saturday night at 7pm. That should tell you something.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Three adults and two children under 6. I ate a a Baytown Seafood in Lake Jackson, Texas about eight years ago. It was wonderful. I loved it. This was a horrible experience. There is no sweet tea. The adult sodas and tea are over $ 2.00. The waitresses are rude and no one cares. The adult dinner came before the kids and we had to go to the waitress station several times for refills and to check on food. There were long periods of time when we did not see our waitress. The food was cold and some of it was so over cooked it couldn’t even be chewed. My sons ordered the cheese burger and the chicken nuggets. The cheese burger was good. The chicken nuggets were not even chicken. They tasted like soy. Vegetarian nuggets. They were gross. The manager on duty was flippant and snotty. Kept saying that he would work on it. Would not look any of us in the eyes. And on top of it all the bill was almost $ 80.00!

I like this place. I love their fresh fish market. Food is always very fast and very tasty. I hope this chain continues to make Baytown look awesome.

This place just misses the run down charm of other Baytown Seafood restaurants. It is probably one of the cleaner ones, but comes complete with tackyish lighting and trying to hard to be trendy music. The food and prices however are what you expect out of Baytown Seafood, so it’s still alright.

I am not sure why the low ratings. However I only order the shrimp and catfish and been doing so for years. The salad is good and fresh. I don’t particularly care for the fries but that is just me. The Onion rings are great and the rice fair. So I just downgraded my review from five to the Stars. Horrible service. No tartar sauce or catsup was brought with meal. Waitresses were too busy talking.

Crab legs were cold, seemed to be freezer burned maybe. My husband couldn’t even get one solid pc of meat, he had to scrape the meat off the shell. The butter that is usually melted, we had to ask them to warm it up. The waitress said” it’s because it’s been sitting back there” it was like gelatin. I had the grilled seafood, red snapper, shrimp &scallops. Everything on my plate was OVERCOOKED, COULDNTEATTHEFISH& chewed so long on the shrimp I got a head ache. We’re from out of town &should’ve took advice of the other reviews, needless to say if we ever come back to BAYTOWN we will NOT eat here.

My experience here on Thursday 9⁄12 was terrible. I am a fish affectionato, so I usually love the Baytown Seafood places. My experience was so bad this past week, I cannot overlook it. My colleague and I were marketing that morning until we had to eat after 1:00pm. We were glad to see that there were not too many patrons, so maybe we could eat quickly and finish up early. We ordered different plates, but both plates had the fried catfish fillet on it. My plate was a combo fish/shrimp. Her’s was just fried catfish. There is no way to substitute something for french fried potatoes unless you’re willing to spend $ 2.00 more, and since my plate was already at $ 12.00, there being no lunch offering, I wasn’t going ANOTHER $ 2.00 after adding $ 2.00++ for a glass of tea. I got my all-fried plate, and really enjoyed their fried«jumbo» shrimp. That is an exaggeration, but the medium-sized shrimp were good, still. When I took a bite of that fish, however, I literally had to spit it out! It was either cooked while still frozen or it was not cooked in hot enough oil. It was raw-ish and cool. It was awful. My colleague’s fish was exactly the same, but she ate about ½ of her fillet before she realized what was going on. We were going to complain to the«manager» but was told that the manager was not there just at that time. We had to leave, but no adjustment was offered and no apology was made by our waitress, who acted as if she was struggling to understand all the english words we were using. When we finished our marketing and went back to our office, my colleague began to experience stomach distress which was obviously directly connected to the undercooked fish. When we related our experience to others in the office, all three of them acknowledged our experience and added their own stories of awfulness at this particular Baytown Seafood.

Came here a second time with my husband and we brought two friends with us. We came in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday, and the place was practically empty, so we thought we would get in and out rather quickly. Wrong! Our server couldn’t have been a day over 20, if even that old, and I did take that into consideration while writing this review. Still, the restaurant was dead, and we still had a very difficult time getting her to come to our table for anything. We ordered an appetizer of jalapeño poppers and everyone ordered a bacon cheeseburger. One of our friends was very thirsty and drank his drink down quickly. Our server disappeared into the kitchen and was gone for a very long time. When she came out, she walked by our table a few times during the course of several minutes, but never offered my friend a refill. Finally, my husband placed the empty glass on the edge of the table. She was about to walk by again without acknowledging the empty glass and my husband had to ask her for a refill. After that, it must have occurred to her that we were still waiting on an appetizer. She came back with the refill and made a joke about the kitchen taking too long, then ran off real quickly. A few minutes later, our poppers finally came out. Since the restaurant was dead and poppers take 2 minutes, max, to fry, I think she forgot our order. When our burgers came out, each one had half of a strip of bacon on it. I’m not joking. Each burger seriously had half of one strip of bacon on it. Not even one whole strip. By this time, we had already waited a good 20 minutes for our appetizer and another 10 for four burgers with half strips of bacon on them, so we just ate, paid our bill, and left. Honestly, for what the food costs here, it’s just okay, and it’s really not worth all of this extra crud. I’m just not that impressed with this restaurant. We will not be back.
