Food is not bad but not great either for the price. They recently added the 30.06 sign at the entrance so even if you have a LTC you can not carry concealed inside. I don’t like going to a place that lets the bad guys know everyone inside is defenseless. Not sure if it is all locations, hopefully not; but definitely will not be going back to the Baytown location.

Best meal from an Outback Steakhouse that I have had in quite awhile. The service was excellent and our waiter was extremely attentive and polite. Our ribeye’s were cooked exactly as we asked and the blooming onion was awesome! I wish I could remember the name of our waiter. He was tall, with dark hair, and retired military. I hope he’s there the next time we decide to eat at Outback.

I’m not going to waste more than two minutes on this review. Flat iron steak was EXTREMELY well done when I ordered medium. Drinks were not refilled and table was not cleared of unused items — it was a mess. I did send my steak back because it was so overcooked it was tough. And frankly, at this price point, I refuse to eat a burnt piece of meat when it was far from being ‘medium’. The rest of my family had their food, and everyone commented that their steaks were also overcooked — but they didn’t send it back in the interest of time. Ten minutes passed and I still didn’t have my steak. It’s a flat iron steak — it should take less than 5 minutes to throw it on the grill, sear it, flip it, and serve it up medium. Then another five minutes passed, and I was beginning to give up. The manager finally came over and said he took responsibility for the long wait because he chose a replacemnt steak that was thicker than the flat iron steak. He said it would be out«shortly», and by «shortly» he must have meant never — because the rest of my family had already finsihed their meals and I still did not have my steak. I finally caught the waitress’s attention and told her to just take it off our check altogether. She said«it’s almost done!!». Sorry but we have lives outside of Outback and needed to be elsewhere by a certain time. I was respectful and polite but here’s what gets me — after all that drama with my steak, they still charged me for the salad. LOL Not that I can’t afford a ceasar salad, but it just seemed to be a little bit ballsy considering that I never even got my meal. I guess they’re hurting for money if this is the service and standards they practice on a regular basis. So… Chili’s, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Outback,(just to name a few) are all on the list of franchises that have gone downhill — waaaaaaaay downhill. I rarely eat at these places for this reason. I’ll take a mom and pop hole in the wall any day of the week before torturing myself with places like this. It’s just among the list of many that we will all see filing a Chapter 11 one day because they can’t keep up with the growing trends of good quality and good service. It’s old school folks, and sadly, most of these places just care about getting bodies into the restaurant and upselling their crappy food.

We didn’t know where else to go since we were meeting family from Beaumont here. For a place not that busy service was really slow. Even the manager came out and greeted us cause there were empty cups on the table. Food took for ever and by the time food came out 2 of the steaks were over cooked. My wife order a Medium steak and I was a hockey puck. My sister in law order a Medium Well steak and it came out as well done also. My chicken fried steak was so well done it was a little tough to eat. The manager took the steak back and we all finish eating and my wife steak still hasn’t came out. They came out and see we have empty cups but didn’t refill it. I wouldn’t come back here ever again. Cannot believe how crappy the service and food is here. It use to be a great pace to eat but I guess over time everything gone down hill. So we are sitting here with tons of empty and dirty dishes in front of us and they still haven’t cleared it. Really? Do they don’t clear dirty dishes any more?

Haven’t been here in a long time. I must say it was very good service and food. The fish was a bit salty but overall tasted great! Steak was cooked to perfection!

We recently visited the Outback in Baytown Texas and the food as well as the service was horrible. The portions were small and the seasoning on the steak was so much it was not edible. We have had similar experiences at other locations and have decided that we will not go back to this chain. We used to love this restaurant but no more. This company needs to retool their business and make some serious changes or they will eventually go out of business.

I travel a lot and go to outback frequently when I’m on the road. I’ve never had a bad meal at an outback … until now. My colleague and I both ordered a different steak and they were both so salty that they were inedible. We complained and the manager took the charges off the bill. I don’t know if this was a fluke or whether this is just a bad outback. I will be in Baytown for a while and will try this place one more time. But if we get a repeat of inedible food, I’m done.

I called ahead to make reservations. They said they do not make reservations they do call aheads. So I said ok I need a table for 15 they said ok the table will be ready as soon as you get here. We get there and the restaurant is packed because it’s New Years Eve. And we got there 15 min early. So they said someone else is at your table as soon as they leave we will seat you ok that is fine. 10 min past we are still waiting so we talk to the Manager and he says they already have their food as soon as there done we will be seated. Another 20 min pass and we went to go check the table and they have not even got there food yet. So we left. Very dissatisfied with them I mean we made a reservation for a reason knowing it was going to be packed. Will never go back again

Been going to Outback in Baytown for years. Recently, ownership changed hands, our favorite waiter fired and the restaurant is going downhill FAST. Our last meal on 12÷5÷14 took 1 ¾ hrs from sit down to check. Ridiculous. Food was good but sides were cold. Kitchen was to blame. Waitstaff was good as always. I hope they resolve the issue.

Went there late Friday afternoon after work. Bloomin’ Onion was overcooked. Pitcher of blackberry sangria took 20 minutes to get. I ordered their new chicken salad – pieces of chicken were refrigerator cold, while others were warm. Salad supposed to have fire roasted corn, but the piddly amount on the salad came straight out of a can… and it was cold, too. Lettuce was«wet» with water and they hid the older, yellow parts at the bottom. It was truly the worst salad I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant ever. Brought out their potato soup; it looked like it had been extended because they were running out: thin, broth, and two small pieces of potato. Friend’s steak and baked potato were ok. Service very slow. Waiter took the cost of the salad off the ticket. Service was ok, but very, very slow. Definitely not impressed and do not look forward to going back there.

This is an update to a previous review… I went back to Outback tonight to give them another chance. We were met at the door by the hostes, and we were seated in a very short time. Our waiter was nice and had no problems taking our order and bringing our food out, even though they were very busy. I ordered a ribeye, salad, and soup. The salad was good, potato soup was good, but seemed to not have many potatoes in it. The only issue i had was with my steak. I ordered medium and it came out well. I was ok with that and stll enjoyed it. I am glad it wad better than last time, and we all left on a positive note.

After our last review the owner of Outback contacted my husband and ended up sending us two $ 20 Tuck Away cards to come back and try them again. We went tonight and had a much better experience. Our waiter did a great job. He checked on us often and made sure everything came out OK. We had a couple little hiccups with the food(my plate was missing the lobster, the unlimited shrimp was coming out super slow) but our waiter made sure those problems were resolved quickly. My only real compliant would be that husband’s steak was over cooked and my baked Potatoe soup only had one piece of Potatoe in it. Otherwise, the food was great!

If I would have written this review a couple of months ago it would have had more stars for a chain restaurant, good service, and good food. Under new management and it shows. We arrived about 5:45pm, plenty of seating, excellent door greeter, semi friendly person to seat us… then the wait… we watched other tables wait as well so it wasn’t just us. At one point a manager«Courtney» came to the booth next to us and explained to them why their food was late, «someone stole your order», uh how does someone still an order? Anyway, my food was cold, the other 2 in my group was just ok. Blue collar town continues to get below blue collar service.

My parents and I came here. Our waiter, Cody was great. And the food was good. However it took them an hour after we ordered to get our food out to us. People came in before us, ordered, got their food and ate it, left before we even got ours. It was good, but I’m not coming back to this outback.

We went to Outback on 9÷12÷2013 after a long day at work and kids after school activities. We’ve eaten at this particular Outback NUMEROUS times, with no issues. However, this night, we receive the WORST steak ever there. My son and I both always order the 10 oz. ribeye, medium rare. The steak was cooked fine, but it was the worst possible cut of meat I’ve ever had. Luckily, the manager Zach was pretty awesome. We told him it was not a good cut, there was entirely too much tendon, sinewy stuff for us to even eat half of our steaks. Zach took the steaks back to the kitchen, cut into them and realized that they really were very subpar cuts of meat, so he took them off of our ticket and told us to ask for him the next time we come so that he can hand select our steaks next time. Food can be bad every once in awhile, anywhere you go. However when you get customer service like that, it far outweighs the occasional poor meal. Now if this was a constant deal(the food not being edible), we wouldn’t be back but most certainly we are regular customers because of their true appreciation of their customers. Kudos to Zach and we most certainly will be back soon!
