Reason I’m giving it two stars is bc the bar tender Bryan gave us free drinks due to the ridiculous wait we had to endure before we got our food. Place has serious potential but needs better management

We went for lunch this past Sunday, nobody was in the place. Horrible food and service.

Website states «large selection of beer». I call shenanigans. Only eight taps, one which was empty and two others were kicked — best beer was magic hat. Nothing besides macro in bottles. False advertising at it’s worst.

Food was typical bar grub but the waitress we had was terrible. She took our order, gave drinks and then we didn’t see her again. The reason for the four stars is Jared. When we complained he did everything in his power to make it up to us. I believe it was just our waitress because this kid was waiting on the table next to us and he was fast attentive and very friendly. Pity he wasn’t our waiter. I will be back because of the way the management rectified the issues we were having.

Tremendous location with great views is the only positive. Chicken fingers were frozen, bartender was the most obnoxious one I’ve ever had. He wasn’t busy at all. New Ownership and/​or management is needed to turn this place around.

It looked good from the outside and that’s where it ended. My family and I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant ever. I can’t comment on the food because after an hour plus wait after ordering we never received any.
The worst possible customer service ever.
No one in the place seemed to care at all and good luck if you see a waiter. They will profusely apologize and never keep a word they say.
I contacted the manager after the fact and all he cared about was if we were charged our drinks?
I’m glad our food never came. They didn’t deserve our business to begin with.

We went to the Breakers on Saturday, August 29^th, 2015 with my family — we should have realized something was up when there was no one in the restaurant but the staff and it was the
dinner hour and the surrounding restaurants were all packed! We started with the Loaded Nachos, the guacamole was turning black already — the nachos were burnt!, We really should have cut our losses at that point — but we went on to order dinner — my little guy had Mac and Cheese that was so watery he could not eat it! My husband had a burger and could not finish eating it because he said it tasted spoiled. When we said something to the waitress the bartender chimed in with «I really don’t think so» — no offer was made to discount the bill for the food not eaten! This is not a restaurant I will ever return to! I definitely would not recommend it to anyone!

I stopped in last night with a few friends. It was my second time visiting this place but it was my first time eating there. Last time I was here I had a horrible experience and the manager Benny told me to contact him if I ever went back, so that is what I did, and I called them out on their promise. Once I got there and spoke to the Manager he guaranteed everything would be great, and it was. The food was great and cooked perfectly, the drinks were fantastic, and he even bought us sex on the beach shots to make up for our last experience.
I honestly only went back because my friend lives right by them and I did not expect them to have improved that much in just a month. They are stepping up their service big time and it was really nice to have a great end to my day by the water. The nicest surprise was that the manager actually remembered who I was and what happened on my last visit from nearly a month ago. That showed me that he was really sincere and that made all the difference. They have redeemed themselves and earned my future business.

I never really leave negative reviews but my experience here was not good at all. It wasn’t the waitress’s fault but the service was super slow. That’s because the place is extremely understaffed (it seemed like two people were doing all the waitressing). Not only did it take a while to get food but it took forever to get drinks and water refills as well! When the food finally got here it wasn’t even that good and it all came out at different times so some people were done eating by the time others were starting. I didn’t heed the bad reviews but you should definitely avoid this place because we were not satisfied.

Cannot believe how downhill this place has gone. Went for lunch, waitress had no idea if there were high chairs, no clue about the menu, or how to process a credit card payment. Food was awful. Very sloppily thrown together. I was there a year ago and it was great. Don’t know what happened, but we won’t be going back.

I would give a zero if I could. Food had no seasoning was cold and took forever to come out our waiter had almost every order wrong. When complained to the manager he agreed with us he knew his food wasn’t good. Food looked like it would make you sick parking lot smelt like raw sewage. Wouldn’t return again.

Great atmosphere. Food is pretty good but nothing special. Its a great place to go and relax to have a drink. I asked for a salad appetizer but got charged for a full regular salad without the waitress telling me. Also if you pay by card they being an ipad to you so sign and click what % of tip you want to give. It’s uncomfortable when they see the tip you give the second you hand back the iPad and before you leave. If i was to go back it would be for the atmosphere and decent food

Kinda typical beach town grub. Mostly fried food, burgers and sandwiches served quickly by a friendly staff. Overall above average pub food a bit on the pricey side

We have been to the breakers before and returned hoping for the same good food. We waited over a half an hour for two orders of fish and chips that arrived after we complained undercooked. We mentioned this fact to our waiter who didn’t respond. We took the food to go home hoping it would be heated up and enjoyed at home. Upon leaving we were asked how was everything and we explained our experience only to be asked if we wanted a bag to hold our containers. I feel we should have been offered another meal or at least an apology. It wasn’t really a reasonable price for what we received. Such a disappointment. In addition it is a sports pub and we couldn’t hear a NY ranger playoff game and we had to ask for the game to be out on the TVs.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with my kids. We were greeted and sat immediately. Waiter was very friendly and catered to our every need. Place was very clean and decorated well. All TV’s had the games going and even though I’m not a sports fan it compliments the theme.
Ordered the Mac N Cheese for my daughter and the mini sliders for my son. Both were cooked perfectly. Best Mac n Cheese ever! I opted for the Cajun chicken sandwich and it was delicious.
We will definitely be back! Great experience. In fact I’m an extreme tipper once a month and this waiter was the lucky recipient of a $ 150 tip! #tipsforjews check us out on social media!

Rude service. $ 11 for half a glass of house wine, rip off! Winter special half priced meals, they were half the size also! I have never seen a restaurant with NO coffee, asked for hot chocolate and got a cup of hot water and a packet to mix myself. Don’t bother going.

Place has been renovated.
I ate dinner there under the old ownership, and the food/​service was a joke. But for a quick drink in a dive atmosphere, it was fine.
So I decided to try under the new ownership. After 30 minutes of waiting to be seated, we left. Who knows — maybe the food is great? But the waitstaff seemed young and inexperienced and most importantly lacked a leader.
I’d give it only 1-​star but figured that’d be wrong as I didn’t even sample the table fare.

Came here on a stormy night after visiting bayville scream park, its only a few storefronts down. We walked in really because we wanted to play some pool and grab a few drinks. My boyfriend ended up ordering the burger and my cousin and I shared the wing trio (pick three from a ton of flavors). The traditional wings were the best out of the three we ordered. I didn’t like the rosemary and garlic– but I have come to find out that I am just not a rosemary fan! The bartender was super friendly and we played a few games of pool before calling it a night. It was a great break from the normal crowded bars of Queens.

I nearly didn’t come here because I stupidly trusted early Unilocal reviews of this place.
At the point of coming, this place had low Unilocal reviews since two out of the three early reviews were 1 star.
We went by chance and were really pleasantly surprised. The place is really well decorated, brand spanking new. And the best feature of a sports bar — TVs everywhere.
Loved the décor, ‘classy’ sports pictures everywhere which gave it a more upmarket vibe than your normal sports bar. Nice outside seating, but we sat inside to watch the World Cup.
Great service, attentive waitress, and food was your decent bar food. Had a selection of wings that came out on one of those ‘test tube racks’. Good wings, good fries, nothing to write home about but satisfying nonetheless. I wasn’t expecting gourmet cuisine from a Bayville sports bar.
Really happy we came here.
Now to get on my high horse at the two idiots that rated this place one star. to Haley, it sucks when there is a hair in your salad, but really. It happens. Tell someone and I’m sure they will exchange it. No reason to rate a place one star for that.
But the review that really annoyed me was from Peter O. You are ‘outraged’ that a sports bar gave your coffee for your crème in a plastic cup?! this is a frigging sports bar in Bayville, not some snooty bistro in Roslyn! Get over yourself. And if you’re too stupid to not realise that there is a seafood place next door (part of the same company) and then complain that the sports bar doesn’t do seafood, then I truly wonder how you are able to actually type a review.
Sorry for the end of review rant, but it’s idiots like them who damage an up and coming place in Bayville due to ridiculous reviews that gullible morons like me actually read.
Go to this place — I certainly will be returning.

New ownership, so far so good. They have taken a hole in the wall and turned it into a nice place. I had their wings the other day, came out great. Beer is cold and the atmosphere is very nice. 14 TVs full seating upstairs and upstairs outside deck is open, also pool table coming soon. They still have a few things to clean up and change but for how quick they have turned this place around, I think we can give them a break. As long as they keep up with the good work. The real test is when I go back next time and try the ribs, then and only then will you be getting a full review and maybe they might be getting that fifth star, or loosing a star!
