Went inside to smell fresh aromas & see the décor. Excellent roast choices available. Spoke with a gentleman @ French press grind and he Was very good with his response. Had ½ pound of cinnamon toast, ¼ 0z Jamaican delight ¼ oz rainforest something? They are out of pumpkin spice currently but should be Getting more in Tomorrow. Bought salted caramel latte 4.50 each but it’s worth The price. Roasted coffee hits you followed by flavored Salt caramel. This place gets 4 stars for now cause they need to offer Some type of pastry shelf inside the store with more Options than just the bakery next door. Perhaps a taste sample of top five coffee roasts. I say this cause first time I went the girl behind the counter had no clue. It shouldn’t be hit or miss for Gourmet, fresh roasted coffee… Till next time bottoms up.

Fresh roasted coffee beans and the best brew on LBI. Great place to hang and take a break in Bay Village.

Delicious coffee. Lots of flavor and varieties. Can also buy fresh ground coffee in some original favors. Cute little place. If in the area definitely give it a try. I will go back for sure.

With the absence of a Starbucks on Long Beach Island, there was nowhere for me to get coffee on LBI but Wawa. That is, until I discovered this little gem hidden in the shops of Bay Village. What a great little place! This place has some really great blends of coffee and the espresso is very nice. Now, I always get my caffeine fix at Cool Beans. Cool Beans indeed!

When I first came to LBI and saw that the coffeehouse I was familiar with was closed for the season, I was worried that my mornings would be filled with 7 – 11’s finest coffees or lack there of. Fortunately walking through one of the boardwalk shopping center lead to this haven of magic beans. To compare Cool Beans to the cornucopia of indie coffeehouses that a spot like Philly has to offer would have me curving lower as far as what this café has to offer by comparison goes. But for assortment of beans that you could take home, and varities that you could order single serve style, what they had to offer was quite extensive. And in the end whether I went with a French Roast, a Mexican light roast, or a chocolate flavored; I was provided with that wake up call that I needed. While I might not come here for a cappucino, mocha, or other special coffee drink; I’ll relish In their extensive variety of cool beans. And I’ll probably pick up more of their awesome chocolate covered almonds in the process.

A very small coffee spot inside Bay Village in downtown Beach Haven. A nice(if not a bit pricey) selection of coffees and teas. They’re usually very busy in the season, and stay open into October, which is pretty good for most businesses on LBI. Never had any problems ordering, or with the coffee itself.

3 ½ stars really because it gets packed, it’s expensive, and it usually takes a while to get your drinks. On the plus side, everything comes out great and pretty consistent. They also have a wide selection of coffees and tea. I did have an iced tea once that was under brewed and watery, but today I had the mint green tea and it was perfect. Iced cold and delicious.

It was a nice little spot and looked like a great selection of beans but it was the looks from behind the cellphones when i walked Iin and price that get it a 3 star rating. $ 9 for two iced coffees, even at tourist prices that’s a bit much, especially for average coffee.

Cool Beans has a decent selection of brewed coffee with some dark roasts and flavored ones as well. There is also a menu of unique blended drinks too. Definitely the best place for coffee in Bay Village.

While they may have updated the look of the space, the coffee quality and barista skills have dropped off. I ordered an iced mocha latte and it was a total fail. I don’t get how you offer a drink on your menu, but the two people behind the counter have no idea how to make it. They made two attempts, the first was a total fail and the second, was a tiny bit better. It was really disappointing because there really isn’t one place on the entire island that I know of who can make quality ice coffees. I’ll save my $ 5 a drink for a place that knows how to make it.

The coffee selection is pretty vast(they had about 6 flavors out), they also have half/half, whole, skim, & soy milks. It’s all self serve My only complaints, the medium coffee is pretty small in size about a standard small, but still relatively cheap, at $ 1.80& there are no seats inside. People who complain about latte quality don’t realize lattes are not genuine coffee drinks; if you judge a COFFEE shop solely on their LATTE(Italian for milk), then you are falsely judging said establishment. Overall it’s a cool little place to get a decent cup of coffee that isn’t a dunkin donuts, be happy with that.

I will have to admit that I am both a coffee and food snob. My husband is originally from New Jersey and we wanted to take a little vacation here to experience the beautiful New Jersey shore. I Unilocaled to find a good coffee place in beach haven and this led me to the cool beans café. What an anti-climax. I got a latte, it was very mediocre. It took less than 40 secs to make it, even starbucks takes longer to make a cup. How did the other Unilocalers rate this place high? I only give it a one star because I know what an excellent cup of latte taste like and yes, it takes longer than 40 secs to make a cup with love and full attention. I will keep looking for a good coffee place in town and Unilocal when I find one.

Well, I know I am biased because I have worked at this coffee shop for the last two summers, but it is my favorite coffee and I drink it throughout the year. While some of the reviewers are saying we make our espresso pre-made, I can safely say that it is not true and I have never seen anyone pre-make our espresso for our hot drinks. The only«pre-made» concoction is our iced cappacino, which is made in house almost every day of the summer. I know the prices are a bit high, but if you are in Beach Haven in the summer, everything is expensive. We are not a chain that stays open all year round. We are located in the heart of Beach Haven’s Bay Village, a pricey rent for a shop that can only stay open 3 – 5 months of the year. We are owned by a local couple and are basically a mom & pop business(which is great to work for!!) We also buy fresh roasted coffee from a shop a half hour away, so we are not buying mass-produced coffee beans. We are doing away with our 8 oz cups this year and upgrading to 20oz cups. We can make almost anything you want with the ingredients we have! But, we are not one of the chains, so we don’t always know the ingredients in a specially named beverage from another place. If you can describe it, we can make it! And I love a challenge to make a drink perfectly. Thanks for the comment about the wonderful aroma… it does smell great in there(though I can’t smell it anymore!). We all wish we were bigger and could expand, but space is so limited in Bay Village. Don’t forget we have drinks for the non-coffee drinker… lemonade, fresh brewed iced tea, soda, chai teas and more. Come by and see for yourself!

Granted, I am a bit of a coffee/espresso snob, but I thought this place was absolutely terrible. Mainly, the drinks are VERY overpriced. The normal cost of a latte is $ 3 to $ 3.50 in my experience for 12 oz. At this place, I paid $ 4 for 8 oz, which is an almost laughably small size. Furthermore, the latte was ready in about 30 seconds, which is entirely too quick if you are making a good quality latte(taking time to froth the milk the right way and brew fresh espresso shots, etc). They basically just poured steamed milk into readymade espresso and handed it to me and it tasted awful. INALL, don’t waste your time or money at this place. There isn’t even anywhere to sit and drink your awful coffee after you’ve paid too much for it.

Best coffee in Beach Haven hands down. And the place smells so unbelievably good that even if you don’t drink the coffee you get happy just from being inside. The iced latte was one of the best I’ve ever had. The hot coffee was great. And the employees are very nice. Have never had a bad coffee here. Love it!

The good: + The coffee is really good, as is the espresso + Several cold drink options and the barista is willing to make anything you want(within reason) + Very chill, friendly place + Lots of places to sit in the shade outside + Multiple milk and sugar options, all in nice containers, including free soy milk(Starbucks charges extra for soy) The not-so-good: — Parking can be a challenge, but wasn’t on a Monday morning in August — No seating inside the café,(it has a wonderful aroma, so would be nice to sit inside) I’ll go back every day if possible, especially since it’s right behind Crust and Crumb Bakery:
