Was around the area so I decided why not check Beale AFB px. Soon as I showed the guards at the front gate my government id I get turned away. Wow I guess I don’t rate.

The United States of Beale… where to start? Beale is sort of remote its a pretty quite base by that I mean slow tempo, they are building new houses on base housing so thats great because the ones they have now are really old. living in Lincoln/Roseville is probably the best bet around here, Linda and yuba are not that great for more info on that I would google it because its pretty high crime/break-ins in that area. The surrounding area in Lincoln/Roseville is really nice, there are many things to do and many places to go and see. Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite places, in the winter you get free lift tickets at some of the most beautiful ski resorts I have ever seen and I have been to quite a few. It’s just one of the most beautiful places and thats only 90 mins away! napa vally is close for the wine drikers I have been there and I think its a great time! sacramento is a pretty cool little city, unfortunitly they just sold the Kings so not much of a sports scene if that’s what you are into! overall I really enjoyed this base there is a endless amount of stuff to do around here!

Beale AFB is a great location to be stationed. The base is remote and about 30 min to anything interesting but the central location in Northern CA in unbeatable. Yu can be in San Francisco or Napa in about 2 hours and Tahoe in 1.5. I live in Rocklin(35 Min south) and the commute to/from base is easy with no traffic. The area has a little bit of everything and if you are not afraid to drive you will enjoy it here. Base housing and services are crap and living on base would be hard in my opinion.
