There seems to be considerable confusion on what this place is called. Is it called Bear Valley Pizza Co? Or is it called Upper Crust Pizza?(or maybe they are just aliases of the same place?) Anyway, there is only one pizzeria in Bear Valley. It’s a small enough town(population 150) that if you ask anyone about the«Pizza place», they will direct you here. In fact, the town is small enough that if you ask anyone where you could eat food, they will direct you to this place. Located inside the Bear Valley village area(attached to the Bear Valley lodge), this is simple, classic pizzeria, which based on my conversation with people around seems to be a local favorite. I got a 14-inch Margherita, which was sufficient for two meals. It might not have been the best Margherita Pizza I’ve had, but it was freshly baked and tasted well. For a location as remote as this one, I was actually very happy with the food I got here. They also offer ready-to-bake pizzas which you can take home to your cabin and cook for your next meal. The wait staff was friendly and the ambiance of this place is pretty cozy — perfect to gorge on some carbs after spending a day on the slopes.

This is a good, though not great, pizza place and our favourite eating place that still exists in Bear Valley itself. The pizza if hardly great, but it is good and the crust along the edge is really nice, with a crispy outer crust, but nicely yeasty chewy soft bread inside. It has some good beer on tap, plus various appetizers and mexican food, etc., but all we ever get here is pizza, some appetizers and simple salads, and beer. We always enjoy it and come back every time but one should not expect to be blown away.

Thought they renamed this to SkyHigh Pizza? Same old pizza taste to me? Nothing to write home about. Round Table is better and more consistent. The price here is a few bucks too high for what you get. –RibChamp

Decent pizza in a low-key place inside the Bear Valley lodge. It’s a hybrid bar/restaurant with a stage where I’m sure some really bad karoake has been sung. And it’s family friendly with some video games for the kids. Our pepperoni, mushroom, and green pepper pizza looked good, hit the spot, but otherwise unmemorable. The service was very nice and friendly — gotta love that aspect about the people in Bear Valley in general. Pizza was rather pricey(I think ~$ 25 – 30 for a large with couple toppings) but you don’t have many food choices up here and need to suck it up. Bottom line: Decent but pricey pizza. 3.5 stars for the food + 0.5 stars for the friendly service.
