If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I don’t even know where to begin. My boyfriend and I are here for memorial day weekend. So we’re starving, and of course I go straight to Unilocal. So this place strikes my interest. So we go. Walk in, and immediately get turned away. The man tells us he is a bar, not a restaurant and he doesn’t even serve food. So my boyfriend reminds him, in order to serve alcohol, you have to have food as well. So he goes on to say o well I serve some frozen food. We came specifically for«steak night» and there were food signs everywhere in the restaurant. Again, the man continue yes telling us no he doesn’t serve food, he’s just a bar. So, I’m not sure what his problem was, but he was more than rude, I’m ashamed I even tried giving it a chance.

There is a lot of fun to be had at the Fillin Station. This is a real good ol boy kind of place sitting right on the water just outside of Beaufort. Its obvious that local Lady and St Helena Islanders and military folks are the regular customer base, and I’m sure things can get a little rowdy here too. But simply put this is really fun, no frills watering hole and those are some of my favorite places. They offer food specials that are ridiculously affordable(but I think they may all be cash only). For example, Friday night is steak night where $ 12 gets you a nice sized strip steak and two sides. Next thing you know its karaōke and we’ve got the locals busting out their favorite country tunes. Its an experience, and a good one. I’d be back for sure.

Great steak nights and fried pork chop nights. Excellent view of Downtown Beaufort as well.

If you haven’t stopped by here on a Thursday or Friday night, you missed something special. Yes, it looks like a «hole in the wall.» After 5 trips to the area, I always schedule a Fillin Station meal. Specials throughout the week. Great food, Great Prices. Try it next time you are in town. Owned and operated by a USMC Devil Dog and his lovely wife.

This was really a five star meal. I took off a star because the flies were bad on the deck and there were too many people smoking. We visited on a Tuesday which was crab night. They apparently only offer o e item per night there is no menu. So, we ordered the crabs which turned out to be a twist on a low country boil. Crab legs, corn and sausage plus a twice baked potato. Yumm. If you don’t like garlic you might not want to visit on a different night. The food was great so don’t be put off by the exterior. Walk through the bar and sit on the deck. Did I mention the crab dinner was only $ 12? Now that is what I am talkin about!

This a a cool little dive right on the water. The drinks were stiff and i heard the food is killer and cheap, but i didnt have a chance to eat. It was karaōke night when we went and no one was scared to sing which was cool, especialy since it sounded like a ally cat exorcism. Good times! I will be sure to try the food next time.

Do not judge a book by it’s cover. Fillin Station appears as a rundown bar on the exterior and gives off the vibe of a prison cell block. However, once you enter that vibe changes. The worker are nothing but nice and the meal was only $ 5. I repeat, ONLY $ 5. I haven’t even mention the waterside view. As you exit the rear of the small dive bar area, you’ll continue onto a back deck where you may order food and sit. The gentleman delivering your food has a bit of a sense of humor, as well. Upon receiving our food he added, «Now you’re gonna have to stare at it for a minute. Cuz I forgot to bring your dinnerware.» Fillin Station serves alcohol and soft drinks, too. Now, the waterside view won’t seem like much due to the small boats docked fairly close to you, but there is still a good view of the water, sky, etc. At the end of the day this place gets a 5 star. It’s you’re general country bar/restaurant.

A well kept secret. Strong drinks, friendly people and the view from the spacious back deck… amazing! I lucked out and went on a Wednesday once, burger night. I got a big fresh grilled cheeseburger, cooked to my choice, hot dog and delicious potato salad all for $ 4.00!

Food =?(I’m scared to eat here… I hear it’s not bad, but the place is way too run down for me to risk it) Price = 2 Experience = 2(it’s very shabby… it does have an outdoor view of the pier, but so does the much better seafood place next door)

A bar that is frequented by tradesmen, but all are welcome. Fun pickup bands on Friday night. It looks rough from the outside and there are mostly pick up trucks in the lot. It is safe, fun, with decent food most nights. Friday and Saturday are probably the best.
