When the stars align, you’ll enjoy good food and good service. It is NOT wildly imaginative. Spouse ordered a HB: Swiss + Mushroom. Onion Straws are tasty-great. I dig the Philly. No great shakes but when it’s good, then enjoy a mixed drink(at about one third less in cost than other establishments) and keep your chill-on.

Nothing to complain about on this visit, the food was cooked perfect, was fresh, hot, and service was fast, friendly, and my server stopped by often to see if I needed anything

Worst experience ever. Never got my croissants. And the waiter was so idiotic. We asked him 5 times for to go boxes and the check. We got charged for the croissants we never received. 20 min later he came back with the check«supposedly» fixed and still no to go boxes. Literally been here for 2 hours straight and 30 min after closing.

About what you’d expect for a cheddars. The food was just ok, service is below average.

This is my first 3rd trip here. First 2 excellent. This one? Not do much. Our waiter, Bryant, had the personality of a rock! Both my friend and I asked for Bourbon SHRIMP. .he came out with 2 bourbon salmon. and seemed put out when we requested the correct order. No smile, no introduction.. Not sure if he thinks he works at a high end restaurant or something, but, DUDE… you work at Cheddars– get off your High horse. Food good quality for the price. Will return; as long as he’s not our server.

Been to a location in Houston and it was a much better experience. First, not kid friendly. It has been a LONG time since I’ve been to any established restaurant that didn’t offer some kind of kid menu with crayons. That could be dealt with because I have great kids, but when my wife asked, the hostess acted like she was crazy for asking. Second, the food was average. My wife had the ribs and they were dry, but edible. I ate the ribeye which was not. I don’t usually talk to a manager but I had to and that brings me to the third mentionable experience here. His name was Chris and he was a totally down-to-earth guy. Very understanding and treated us fairly. Because of him and also the good attitude of our server, I still gave them a three star rating instead of the two that I was going to give them. Thanks Chris for using the genuine good spirit that is dying every day in the service industry.

Perfect for girls night! Me and my girls always start a night out with cheddars or end it there after catching a movie(Cheddars is located in the same parking lot as Tinseltown Theater). They serve my favorite Moscato however I will own to it bring far over priced. You can literally by the same bottle of wine at HEB for $ 9.99 where as its almost $ 25 per bottle at the restaurant. That aside, the cocktails ate typically perfection. My husband usually sips Jameson and Coke(he swears by it) and I typically start off with a Painkiller. It’s a crazy concoction of roasted coconut goodness and is absolutely lethal. So lethal, they will only serve you 2. My menu must haves include the spinach dip, the Idaho nachos, or the New Orleans Pasta… OMG! My niece and I have a tradition of eating dessert before the meal and now our new favorite is the incredibly decadent chocolate cake with a side of vanilla ice cream and fudge icing! It is heaven! The prices are amazing too! My friends and I joke we «ball on a budget.» Had I not stumbled on the wine at HEB there would be no complaint about pricing as the quality is ALWAYS there!

Holy-Caloritic-intake-Batman! Cheddars is one of those places that a chubby fella like me who’s trying to watch his girlish figure has to be careful. Cheddar’s is one of those chains that doesn’t disclose their nutritional info on their website, and with good reason. I was looking for a light meal so opted for the Asian chicken and shrimp salad. Imagine my surprise when I googled the calorie chart later to see this is a 1,250 calorie salad! Holy Shit! I could have ate a Monte Cristo(a deep fried ham, turkey 2 cheeses, raspberry preserves dusted in powdered sugar) and only had 1125 calories! WTF! Now granted they give you 3 dressings and I don’t eat all of those but still. Gotsta be mo’ careful! Anyway most people may not care about that and if I hadn’t been a lazy turd recently I wouldn’t either. Other than my fat boy rant, I find this Cheddar’s solid. I’ve never been to any other one. The place is cheap. Today I got the Hawaiian Chicken Salad(525 calories) which comes with a buttery croissant(115 calories) for only 10.79 tax included. The salad is huge and could almost be 2 meals. The chicken is grilled and has a nice char to it, the pineapples and diced tomatoes are refreshing as is the honey lime vinaigrette. The to-go service is a little slow. «It will be ready in 15 – 20 minutes» is usually 30 plus. However when I have eaten at the bar, the service was adequate. My hotel is next door so it’s convenient for when I’m in town. I’ll be back once I drop 20 lbs to get that Monte Cristo!

If your looking for bland food and horrible service then this place is for you. I called in and order for pick up for a work crew of 10 guys. Chedders said they could have the order ready by 11:00 to 11:15, I didn’t get out of there until 11:50 which ment the crew didn’t get lunch! They all hate Chedders, the only thing that could of save them is if the food was good… it wasn’t! The servers roam around there like the cast of Waiting! Im sure their playing the dick game in the back!

Cheddar is a great place to go if you’re looking for a large amount of great food at excellent prices. I have enjoyed almost everything I have tried from the menu, from the tasty food to the well-mixed drinks. Only downside is this place can get seriously PACKED, especially on the weekends. This makes for a very loud and hectic atmosphere and slower, sometimes outright poor, service. I recommend going for lunch or during the early week to avoid the crowds.

I love this place especially those croissant rolls. My daughters been telling me about this place so I finally went and loved it I only had a Mushroom burger but it was the best I ever had I also had a side salad which was very fresh and good. Prices are reasonable my friends at something different which I will post pictures of. The service was very good seeing it was some kind of holiday that Saturday. I recommend this place to everybody.

I have never had a great experience here. Always slow. Always in a hurry to get you out. The employees also seem much more interested in talking to each other than actually doing their jobs.

Cheddars is the place to go when you’re craving comfort food! PROS: * It’s located right off the highway so you’re one easy exit away from a filling lunch/dinner! * Beautiful atmosphere & fish tank with a huge fan in the middle of the dining area to keep you cool from the Texas heat. * Delicious appetizers! I love their Santa Fe Spinach Dip which is a blend of four cheeses, topped with mozzarella and a generous scoop of sour cream severed with a side of their red salsa. They also have a stack of onion rings which are homemade and hand-battered. * Their chicken entrees are delicious! * Their New Orleans Pasta is a must try! Imagine a spicy Alfredo sauce due to it’s Cajun spices served with a mixture of grilled chicken, shrimp, and sausage over penne pasta! * Great bar area if you simply want to watch the game and have a drink. * Don’t leave without having one or two of their delicious freshly baked honey butter croissants! * Order a Monster Cookie for dessert which is homemade so please allow time for it to arrive at the table. CONS: For the most part the staff is friendly but it can be a hit and miss. My family and I always go eat here and one day there were eight of us going to eat which four of us(including myself) showed up first — it was a busy evening and I had already called ahead to reserve a table. Well, we show up and are denied being seated until ¾ of our party is present… «What?! Half our party is here, why can’t you seat us?» Now, I understand every restaurant has their polices they much follow but it was busy and we were just in people’s way. Horrible night but I continue to go back because I like their food. The have their own private lot but parking can be a headache during peak time aka lunch and dinner time. Overall, I like this place and will continue to go back.

If you want good food and good service, than stay away from this place. If I could award a negative star rating I would. What the hell was I thinking coming in here?

Best thing on the menu is the Caesar salad and the grilled shrimp. Butter hot Croissants are awesome! Fettuccine Alfredo is good. Steak is just ok. Buffalo Chicken Rapper — super spicy and good. Terrible service — SUPERSLOW! Good prices over all.

Only stopped because it’s right off the freeway in Beaumont and we needed to eat and get back on the road. Food was adequate– not terrible, not great – which is exactly what you should expect to get at a Cheddar’s. So no points off for that. Silverware was dirty, fork tines were badly bent. Service was slow in general, plus my wife asked for butter for her baked potato, and when it didn’t show up after a long while, she gave up and ate it with no butter. Naturally, the butter arrived just as she finished. Also, men’s restroom needed cleaning. Lastly, it’s 2014 and this establishment has no wifi for its customers. Meh.

People who trash this place need to understand context. Is it the best restaurant on planet earth? No. However for what it is, it beats the pants off the larger/similar style Applebees and Chilis of the world for value. I would say, arguably, that the food here is better than each of those places as well. I dont know of a more reasonably priced menu out there. Was the food great? No, however it was great for the price. I counted maybe 6 things over 10 dollars on the menu, and it was completely edible and edged on a great meal. The staff was helpful, and even brought out a side of buffalo sauce for the quesadilla, which was a perfect touch.

I generally love Cheddars, Not so much this location. I know it’s Beaumont and it’s humid and bugs but there really should never be giant outdoor roaches in the restaurant. All restaurants should have exterminator services. I had the chicken strips which were okay but I was surprised by the flavorless red beans and rice. I tasted one of my dining companions green beans and they tasted like they had sugar in them, yuck. I’ll still continue to go to my local Cheddars but I wont return to this location even if I go to Beaumont
