Solid food all around. I think the best bang for my buck are their breakfast burritos. Prices are a little high but being able to call in an order and it be ready is worth an extra buck or two in my opinion.

LOVETHISPLACE!!! Amazing food. Great service. You can’t go wrong. The people there are so kind they make you feel like home and the food is ONPOINT.((BESTENCHILADAS)) INTOWN SUPERFAST!(Seriously I have had my food done before I even finish paying) They also stay open later(11pm) then any other Mexican restaurant in town which is really convenient since most places close before I even get off work.

Not sure if anyone else has ordered their tostilocos or their mangoneadas here but I would not recommend you try them. The mangoneada was made with crushed ice and the tamarindo stick they put in the cup had a weird smell to it. Almost like gasoline? I don’t know but it also tasted like it smelled. Oh and it did have a tiny piece of mango, almost microscopic. The tostilocos were EXTREMELY salty. I added more lemon at home and it did not help. They also don’t put jicama or the Japanese peanuts like other places do. Paid almost $ 16 for two mangoneadas and one tostilocos. I wouldn’t mind the price if the food were worth it but it’s not. I only tried this place because it was closer than la michuacana on 6th st. I will drive the extra mile and a half to la michuacana next time.

It was okay. Being from San Diego, I feel like I’ve tried my fair share of burritos. This one is one that I would go back to perhaps because it was close but I would go to another place before this one. I liked that they take card unlike some other nearby places. I tried the carne asada burrito and the hot sauce reminded me of ketchup, but to each their own.

This place is horrible they can’t even make cheese enchiladas. I got two enchiladas and the cheese was not melted ATALL. The picture I posted is after putting their tasteless food into the microwave for a full minute and the cheese in my cheese enchiladas was still not melted. Basically a tortilla with raw shredded cheese inside, lazy cooks. Overpriced disgusting horrible excuse for Mexican food.

Customer Service here is terrible! I had heard that from friends but didn’t believe it. Tonight I now know what everyone was talking about. We LOVE El Mariachi, we come here probably once a week and order the same three things, super nachos with grilled chicken, carne asada fries, and taquitos aka rolled tacos. Tonight we ordered the same things and half way home when I checked the boxes I noticed none of the cheese was melted. Yuck! I tried tasting it and it was gross, cold shredded cheese does not go well with grilled chicken and chips. So I called to ask them to remake them and was told by the woman on the phone that it would be the same because it’s their process and they never melt their cheese. Ummmmm that makes no sense, I have ordered each of these items ATLEAST20 times and have never had this happen. I asked if they changed their process and she kinda snorted and me and said, «no ma’m, it’s the same process» My husband then took the food back and was told the same thing that if they just re-make it they will all still have cold unmelted cheese. I do not understand where this attitude is coming from, what do they have to loose from making it again and making special effort to melt the cheese? We then just asked for our money back and she had to take pictures and fill out paperwork before we could get the money back and she kept taking other customers as they walked in instead of focusing on helping us. This is NOT the way to keep customers. I am SOSO sad. I have told so many people about El Mariachi and have raved about their food, I’m so sorry to say that I don’t think I will be going back again.

Absolutely worst customer service. Called ahead to order for pick up, lady had me on hold for 15 minutes. When I hung up and called back, the damn lady asked me to hold again. There was another time when I ordered to go, the damn cooks took 35 – 45 minutes to finish my order. And I only ordered one item! This crappy establishment will never receive a penny from me ever again. And I will speak ill of this place when asked!

First of all this place can change your life, if you want the best burrito in all of Beaumont go straight to El Mariachi and order any burrito off of the menu! When you bite into a El Mariachi burrito it’s like seeing your son say his first word. Or getting married to the love of your life. There’s no better feeling than eating a El Mariachi burrito, all I can say is if your tryna get a bomb ass burrito for a good price, El Mariachi is your spot.

Only tried tacos from here and it is bland and not worth buying… Drive about 6 minutes down to tacos and beer and make your money worth it!

Tuesday and Wednesday tacos chicken and pastor $ 1.00/ asada $ 1.25 with that said, the flavoring in the meat is not all that great even after the salsa is added to it. I had tacos and I was not impressed. Disappointed actually with the flavoring. Very small location.

There’s too many Mexican restaurants around the area that customers can choose from. With that being said, you’d think that El Mariachi would do everything in their power to stand out above the rest – but they don’t. Customer service, primarily from the female cashier is average. She could definitely benefit from some additional training on how to be courteous and how to properly communicate with customers. Additionally, the prices are unusually high. $ 11.00 for a two taco plate w/drink? And if you want a refill, you’ll get charged for it, of course. The carne asada meat isn’t worth the price and the beans & rice are small in portion and don’t taste all that good. Take my advice; stay away from this place. There’s many, many other restaurants to choose from around the area.

I come here often for a quick breakfast. Their burritos are fairly large(they’ve actually shrunk in size since I last remember). One of my favorites from here are probably the carne asada fries which is basically just a large order of fries with carne asada, guacamole, cheese, sour cream, and pico de galo. Everything here does seem to be fairly greasy but I think that’s to be expected from a Mexican place like this. This will always be my go to place for burritos though just because how good they are.

Second visit here and it’s even better than the first! I’ve had carne asada fries at Alberto’s and Santana’s, but I’ve never had them as good as at El Mariachi’s! AMAZING! CRISPY fries; not soggy! Great carne asada, guacamole, crema, cheese, and an open salsa bar where I loaded as much pico de gallo on top as I wanted! Also had the tostilocos… Yummy!

After discovering the hard way that all the Mexican Restaurants in Beaumont close at least a half-hour early, we came here because they are open late. Rolled up Beaumont Ave. and cruised in. Checking out the menu, I could tell that this was Mexican food not necessarily intended for Mexicans. The prices were steep, and the meat selection was basic. The restaurant is clean, well decorated, and the staff is friendly. I ordered a California Burrito with Guacamole and Sour Cream. It was huge, and had lots of cheese! But the taste wasn’t there. Specifically the carne asada, and the fries. They were kind of old and bland. Couldnt even taste the guacamole. I ate most of it because I was famished from searching for places that are open when they say they should be. My Wife got a BRC Burrito. She wasn’t impressed. Just a standard BRC. She only ate half of it. She also ordered a Chicken Taco. She liked it better than the burrito, and had no complaints. We also shared a #2 Combo that was a Tostada, 2 Rolled Tacos, and a Shredded Beef Taco. They were all just basic fare. Not horrible but not that great. Just something OK to eat to fill up on. They advertise that they use only 100% Vegetable oil in their food. It shows. You can taste it with every bite, and thats not necessarily a good thing. The Horchata was pretty good. Not too sweet, but tasteful. Wifey got a small Sprite, not really a fan of paying 50-cents for a small refill when I just spent $ 30 on food that wasn’t that great. Probably wont be back.

0 stars if possible. Worse place ever. I placed an order the phone, came to pick up my carne Asada fries that I had ordered with guac and sour cream on the side. When I got them them they had everything on them then asked them to remake their mistake and the owner told me no I was screwed. I had to buy another one if I wanted them made right.

While some Of their food is good(I.e. The carne fries and breakfast burrito) a fair amount is only mediocre. And the prices are continuously increasing. The salsa is ok. But a far cry from delicious. It’s one of the few Mexican joints around and thusly generates a lot of business. But if their prices don’t stop increasing; people will need to take out a loan to eat here. I would recommend Beaumont taco co instead… It’s just a tad more down the road.

Ok I am all about supporting my local business. but the food is ehhhh and the prices keep going up. 14 $ for 2 bacon breakfast burritos. 1 $ for extra cheese. that’s pretty high. especially for a burrito stuffed with potatoes No desire to return

I’ve had over 1000 California burritos in my life(I’m not exaggerating) and this was probably the worst and most expensive one I’ve had. I ordered extra sour cream twice(which they charged handsomely for) but forgot it. Reading these other reviews, that happens all the time so I’m not sure there’s any point to asking for extra anything unless you want to give them that money as a tip or something. Also, what kind of California burrito doesn’t have fries??? That is what defines a California burrito! Instead I got some sort of potato mash. Salsa in the burrito also tasted a bit sour and did not go with the expected flavor of a CA burrito. I still can’t get over how much they charged for everything. Insane prices. For the positive: the salsa bar was really great. Very tasty salsas suited for whatever flavor you’re going for. If they sold their salsa by the bottle I would for sure buy it, which is what saved me from giving a 1 star review.

El Mariachi food tastes great but they have been getting cheap and greedy as time progresses. I have been coming here for 5+ years. They put little to no bacon in your BACON breakfast burrito and then charge $ 2.50 more bacon??? Half the cost of the burrito! Then they announce that their raising prices on June 15th!?! Save your money and eat someplace else.

Updating my review not because of those who were involved with our last visit but the kindness of some employees. We broke down ok, the fries are just too good. My wife went to pick them up and a cook came out and apologized about the prior experience and how they knew our order. I hope the business understands that it has some great folks in its ranks because they sure redeemed that situation!
