Iron Skillet

Seen this place and had heard of it but never eaten there so I was stopping for gas and it was there and it was lunch time. I went in and it looked like an onersized Waffle House. I sat at the counter and ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, I figured they couldn’t mess this up and it should be fast. It was delivered quickly and hot that’s a plus. As I was eating the first half someone tapped me on the shoulder, as I turned around I saw a policeman looking at me and saying in a deep tone «Sir I need you to leave this place right now» I was in Beaumont Tx and I was about to say I’m sorry but I like mayo on my burger but he continued «we have a bomb threat for this place» well he didn’t have to tell me twice because the cheeseburger wasn’t good enough to be blown up for so I jumped up and went outside as far away as the parking lot would allow. I waited around a few minutes then seen the manager as I approached her I tried to pay telling her I wasn’t going to hang around she apologized and said it was on the house. So I got a half a cheeseburger some fries a Diet Pepsi and a panic attack for free. I hope it didn’t blow up I never heard.

Typical truckstop fare. Average food at above average prices. Acceptable service in a fairly clean atmosphere. If through here again will bypass this restaurant and walk across road to Cracker Barrel. Might be the better choice for this exit.

French toast was good… It even came out on a skillet lol. No good truck stop souvenirs… But the truckers had a designated seating area. That was cute lol

I was on a four-​hour bus ride from Houston to Alexandria. Beaumont was the perfect place to stop in the middle, and I’m glad I got to enjoy some good hearty Texan food from this place during the break. To make it an even better place to rest, the restaurant is connected to a large convenience store. Thanks to this place for making my trip more enjoyable.
After placing my order, there was essentially no wait because the soup and salad bars were free and open. I got a salad with some of everything, and I tried both their tomato and chicken soups. They also included packaged crackers to make the deal even better. Basically, there is no need to sit and wait for your food here.
I ordered a Texas Steerburger with onions and gravy for $ 12.79. Really, it’s just a large beef patty with onions on top. Some mashed potatoes were to the side of the patty, and the whole thing was covered in gravy. Pretty appetizing, all things considered. My biggest complaint is about the dirty silverware. I don’t like having to pick and choose the forks to see which one is the cleanest.

Epic fail. After sitting at table for thirty minutes all we had to show for our time was water and dirty cutlery. Walked out.

Great place to eat! And amazing service! Which is hard to come by. My waitress, Tori, was wonderful, very nice and helpful. We came for breakfast, and everything was good, hot and fresh! I would defiantly recommend this place!

Very slow service. Forget about getting a refill on your drink. Horrible!

This is becoming our regular stop on casino trips between Houston and Lake Charles. Can’t beat the prices, good portions, and the service is always friendly. Haven’t tried the buffet yet, looks good, but usually order off the menu. Nice clean restrooms also. It’s a comfortable family stop and there is a store attached with goodies and souvenirs.

If you want a delicious breakfast buffet brunch at a great price, get off the freeway and stop here. Every staff member was extremely friendly. I must have been helped by at least three of them. The prices are more than fair. Don’t be put off by it being in a gas station. Cracker Barrels are too, but this place has way more interesting customers. If you’re coming from the west, don’t settle in Winnie. Be patient and wait until you reach Beaumont.

This is in the Petro Shopping Center. I am not impressed with this place. For starters;
the C-​store is not stocked, well. Good luck with the restaurant, Might have what you want. Off the menu. Had heard someone, complain that the eggs were rubber. HUMM
Buffett looked fair… Ate here a couple of times, staff can be rude… Food is on the poor
side, But the good news that there is a Cracker Barrel, Jack in the Box, Waffle House With in a few Minutes away… This is in a truck stop.
