Really good home cooked style food. Good price $ 20.20 for two meals that come with a meat, they had brisket, baked chicken, ribs, chicken fried steak, fried fish and hamburger steak. comes with 2 sides and a roll or corn bread and dessert. Bread pudding is awesome.

Everything that I have tried is great. The burgers, the onion rings, the fish, even the side dishes. It does have a funny name and strange location, but it matches the unique industrial building. Always crowded because it is good, but worth the wait.

It’s good food and plenty of it. I really thought it was good but not great. I went there for lunch and it was pretty busy but the line moved quickly. It is Southern cooking which can be a good thing. I am not a big fan of cafeteria/buffet style places but I make an exception for this one. The veggies are good and the meats are better than average. I usually end up getting whatever meat that is swimming in dark gravy, rice, greens or beans. I have eaten the fried chicken that I rate as very good and as good as any in town. It’s not a place to impress your new flame but it’s a good place to eat.

Today, my lunch consisted of rice and gravy, carrots, greens, a corn bread muffin and a slice of lemon pound cake with water to drink. The total cost was $ 2.15 tax included! Eliminate the«meat» and a drink, and this is THE best value restaurant/café in the USA!

I’m not sure if I came on a off day or if its just not what its hyped up to be. I’ll say it… It was pretty good, it was really cheap, and it was a comfy place to sit and eat, but it just didn’t truly impress me as a 5 star restaurant and here’s why. When we went in and saw the place for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised at the interior. We got our trays and had a look at the food. Wow, it looked like my grandmaws cooking. Everything looked amazing. We had catfish, chicken fried steak, corn potatoes, green beans and sweet rolls. All was for sure good but not, really good. It was just above average. The prices however for the food you get are incredible. Two can max out a tray for less than $ 20. Plus free refills and ones for the road if you want. I have to say that Rockin A Café is a great place for a quick cheap sit down lunch. Its A OK in my book, but not much more.

This place is worthy of a 5 star rating for 5 reasons: The food is absolutely delicious. They give very large portions. The menu is extensive. The food is cheap. No waiting on your food to come out. The chicken fried steak and fried catfish are rock solid. Love this place.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Fast, affordable, clean and everything on the menu is excellent. You can’t ask for a better lunch spot.

Best Chicken Fried Steak in Town! Hands-down! Great home-style food, affordable prices, large portions. Great catering! The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Great texas style café atmosphere! Definitely a regular restaurant!

I’ve only eaten here a couple of times, and both times it was super crowded, very hot, and they ran out of white-meat fried chicken before we managed to make it up to the food. Of course, the reason they run out of food and are so crowded is that the food is delicious! Definitely arrive early if you want any chance of sampling everything they have. It’s also best not to have your heart set on something so that you are happy with whatever entrees are available when your turn comes. I’m still hoping to try the chicken some day! HA! I hear it is fantastic! The meal is not very expensive and provides good southern cookin’!

Good home comfort food cooking at a good price. The dish is plenty large so you won’t leave hungry. You will get your food quick because its set up cafeteria style making it a good place for a quick lunch.

Beat the lunch crowd and get there before noon. A ton of food for around $ 9.00 and you’ll probably need to take some of it home.

Awesome, stick-to-your-ribs home-style cookin’. I’ve been craving beef tips for months now and today the gods blessed me some lumpy brown goo in a stainless steel tray. I was going for the ribs, but when I found out the slop was in fact beef tips, I went for it. So f’n awesome! It came with mashed potatoes and corn that covered the entire plate and a roll and a brownie. Everything was awesome and it looked like the rest of the menu was just as good. The place was full of content looking, big-bodied customers. I’ve heard the line can be out the door if you don’t get there a little before noon, we got there at 11:30 and got right in the plate assembly line. Some of the best comfort food I’ve had in Beaumont.
