Tradewind’s Tavern

Not bad for what it is… which is a cozy bar and grill located in the aging MCM Elegante hotel.
The atmosphere is pleasant, with lots of wood accents and comfortanle bar seating. There’s a big screen projector in the back for big games, oftentimes a soloist playing on stage, and a pretty good deal in the Thursday steak night. The bartenders are always friendly and the crowd is usually pleasant… mostly business travelers and laborers.
The food is of your basic «bar comfort» genre… fried, rich, cheese-​laden, etc… wings, burgers, dips, pastas and the like.
I had a Caesar salad, which had a tasty handful of banana peppers tossed atop (a 1^st), and then the «Texas Jalepeno and Cornbread Crusted Talapia.» I’m pretty sure it was at one time frozen because it wasn’t particularly good. It was covered in some sort of odd maltaise and mango sauce…
BOTTOM LINE: Not a bad place for a beer, some bar food, and the big game when staying in the MCM Elegante… and only when staying in the MCM Elegante.
