MCM Eleganté Hotel and Conference Center

I was really torn about this review because well the room wasn’t all that bad and the people who worked here seemed somewhat nice. The over all feel of the place was just a bit lacking in class.
My first complaint would be that they have a huge stone 10 commandments tablet out front. I mean its a hotel but they are sorta giving the message that they don’t want you to stay there if you don’t get with their rules. I also noticed them blaring Christian music when we walked in. Now I don’t mind if someone wants to be religious but doing that in a public place isn’t very inviting to customers like myself who don’t share your belief system.
The beds were great and the view from our room was of another roof top but I wasn’t there for the view. I had no problems with the wifi and that’s why I think they deserve one star instead of no stars. Not that I could give them no stars anyway.
While staying here I was bitten by some sort of spider. I cant really blame it on the hotel bugs and insects are everywhere but it sucked and I had to make a stop by the emergency room on my way home and it wasn’t a very pleasant experience. I’m not docking them for this in particular so much as the fact that they seem like a very Christian business and could care less about the beliefs of their patrons … that being said it did happen and I would suggest if you stay here to look around for spiders just to play it safe.
The pillows were also not very fluffy. I don’t know about you but I like a big fluffy pillow. Stay at a Holiday Inn I have a feeling it will be a better experience that at this Jesus Hostel.

Tried the weekend breakfast buffet at the hotel. Your money would be better spent at IHOP or even Golden Corral. Frozen pancakes, cold oatmeal, sad omelette. This is not a great buffet. More like Holiday Inn Express with a bad omelette. 12.95. Nice waitresses.

I’m pretty sure there was a «working girl» on the job in the bar.

Really nice hotel for short rest this afternoon. I shorted star rating only because of shortage of electricity outlets entire room.

Quiet hotel. Pool is only open till 10pm, and the bar was closing at 11pm on the Friday when we rolled in on July 3^rd. The hotel is older but very clean. Food was good in the AM bar was nice the night before, just wish everything was open a little later. Starbucks kiosk located downstairs is a big plus, breakfast buffet was also very good. Beds are super comfy along with their pillows, AC blows cold. No smoke smell in this place. 1 of the 2 elevators are out of order, but that wasn’t an issue while we stayed there.

A comfortable bedroom, well appointed and very reasonable. We were there for a conference and the food at the evening’s event was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to be in Beaumont.

I stay here every time I come to the Beaumont area. The bed is extremely comfortable, the food is good and reasonably priced, there is a really nice bar here and they even give you a voucher for one free drink! If there is one knock against this place, it would be that the hotel is showing its age. Other than that– I would recommend this hotel. I have found the staff to be really nice, special compliment to Taylor at the front desk.

If you plan on sleeping in then do not stay there. If you like doors slamming as your alarm them do so.
