The best place to go for tattoos and piercings in the area hands down. Cassie and Oz have both done tattoos on me that still look amazing years later and they are the only ones I trust. Can’t wait until I have my baby so that I can go get my next one done!!!

I have 15 tatts from this shop. Cassie did her first color portrait on me. It still looks good 10 years later. I will let no one touch me other than them. These two have worked amazingly hard to craft their skill and run the best tattoo shop I’ve ever seen.

I went to studio 42 to have my first tattoo done. I looked at several establishments in the area and chose Oz at Studio 42 because I heard wonderful comments about them and the apprentice really listened to what I wanted. Oz was in the middle of a session, that’s why I spoke with the apprentice while I was there. He draw up a quick sketch while I was there and wrote down the colors that I wanted. Came back a few days later for the appointment and Oz suggested going with traditional colors for my Asian inspired tattoo. So I went with the suggestion, he’s the professional. I should have stayed with the colors I wanted. When you looked at the tattoo from afar, it looked like I had a large green blob on the leg. He put soo much green into the tattoo, you couldn’t see what it was meant to be. I few months later I was to a different tattoo shop(Magic Ink in Monaca, artist/owner — Tim) to have the tattoo corrected. I added more design to the tattoo and Tim knew exactly how to make my tattoo look like my original vision! I will not be returning to Studio 42 for any services and will not recommend them.

Studio 42 has set a standard that all shops should strive to achieve. I have had an old tattoo covered and it now looks better than I could have imagined. I have also had a new tattoo designed and implemented at this shop and it has been a great experience. The artists are professional. The location is clean and run with all precautions that are required by law and then some. If you want a piece of art that you can be proud of — go here!

My husband has had 3 tattoos done by Cassie and loves every single one. One tattoo was a cover up and it is beautiful. The current tattoo is a portrait of our son and it is amazing. They do excellent work. The parlor is very clean and the staff is very pleasant and friendly. We would recommend them to anyone. In fact we would give them 10 stars if we could.

I love tattoos and piercings, and decided to come here for my first tattoo based off of suggestions from friends. The portfolio of the artists are decent, nothing exceptional but for a simple star design with a swirly background, why go to a renown artist right? Turns out, I should have never gotten any work done here other than my piercings. My tattoo(which was properly taken care of and healed) turned out like complete and utter garbage. The line work is horrid, half of the pigment has either bled out(horrible line work) or faded out. About six months later, I went back for my ‘free touch up’ to fix the monstrosity, and was refused service unless I wanted to may for a new tattoo. Now almost 8 years later I am stuck with this embarrassing reminder of my first tattoo. Luckily it has faded enough that with a session or two of lightening it, I can hopefully get that crap covered up. Also, the owner was kind of rude and didn’t really seem to have time for me anyway, but I guess the overwhelming excitement of getting your first tattoo just short of your 18th birthday makes you overlook the red flags. I’m sure some of you are thinking, she clearly doesn’t know how to take care of a tattoo, but since then I have gotten four others totaling 9 separate sessions, and all of the have healed perfectly and still look great.(Go to Mike Reams at Crayon Tattoo’s in Rochester. He does far superior work, and actually cares about his clients.) Anyway, I would never recommend this place even to my worst enemy. Unless you want mediocre work, and to be treated like an unimportant client, don’t waste your time and money going here.

Got an piece on my left shoulder done here, too. The artist/owner did a good job but she gave me attitude about my design, as if I were being too picky about something being put on my body FORTHERESTOFMYLIFE. I didn’t appreciate that. Then she said she couldnt do a piece of script because the font was too small but she was able to do half of the script? Instead of Semper Fidelis… she insisted on only doing Semper Fi… so I got Semper Fi. Stupid me. And the tat is only the size of my hand and put me back $ 280. She was good but she wasn’t THAT good. Oh well. I guess I would go there again. I trust this place more than the other divey tat parolors in beaver county… and there are plenty of those floating about.

I have gotten tattoos and piercings(as well as recommended this place to others) from here and have not had a bad experience yet. Everyone who works here is very friendly and professional and takes sanitation very seriously. This place is owned and run by a husband and wife team. Oz does the piercings and some tattooing. Cassie does the majority of the tattooing. She is also skilled with covering any old tattoos you may have and don’t like with a completely different design. They also take on apprentices and teach them a thing or two. All of the staff here takes their time with you and are very helpful with opinions or decisions. They will educate you in aftercare and even give you a little baggie/kit with information on how best to care for your new body modification. When you make an appointment, 50% of the total cost is due to hold your spot and the rest is paid when you have your appointment. If you don’t know a kickass artist to draw up your tattoo design, any of the tattoo artists would be happy to work with you and create something unique. Another thing to keep in mind about Studio 42, FREETATTOOTOUCHUPS! If you have received a tattoo from here before and it is starting to fade, your touchup is free with any other tattoo purchase. This little place has grown greatly in popularity since it opened some time ago. «You get what you pay for» and if you care about your body art you’ll be willing to spend a little bit more on it. The shop is closed on Sundys and Mondays. So make your appointment soon!!!
