Great café mocha. Served at the perfect temperature. Friendly and very prompt service.

I’m a little embarrassed that I didn’t know what a kolach was before I came here, but I’m certainly a believer now. And to enlighten anyone who may be like me, it’s an Czech/Slovak pastry, often filled with a dollop of fruit. An Americanized version has a pocket filled with savory meats or cheeses. Café Kolache offers both varieties. The air is thick with the scent of spices and bread each time I’ve visited this place, and an entire shelf is dedicated to sweet and savory kolache that entice customers at the register. The ham and swiss kolach has made for the perfect grab-and-go lunch for me on a few occasions, with sweet bread enveloping ham(real diced ham, not deli meat) and cheese. They will also heat it up for you if you like. It’s kind of like the best homemade hot pocket ever. I’ve particularly enjoyed the day-old kolache that are marked half off, so I can still get my fill of delicious goodies at bargain prices. Can’t really beat a $ 2 lunch with two mini kolache. Not to mention the coffee is the best in Beaver as well!(That’s saying something considering a Starbucks is just a few blocks away.) The coffee is fresh and has a jolt without tasting burnt and over roasted like some chain competitors. If you find yourself in downtown Beaver, definitely make an effort to come to Café Kolache.

This place is awesome. The moment you walk in its inviting and cozy. The staff is so helpful in picking off of the vast menu. The food is amazing and honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better fit for breakfast!

Good breakfast place. The coffee is good, but it’s 2015… spring for a larger, electronic coffee pot to store the coffee. Everytime I use the airpots, half are empty. The kolache are all very good. They have some unique ingredients and flavors. The cinnamon rolls are very good also. It’s worth a try, a nice location in a quaint small town. It gets four stars because the drip coffee price is a joke and airpots make it look like a college cafeteria. You would figure with $ 4.00 large coffees and hiring no one over 24 they could afford the machines.

Hands down the best cup of Mocha Latte I have ever had the pleasure to drink. The staff are so nice and welcoming. They make each person feel like a friend visiting their kitchen for a chat.

Delicious kolaches. I’ve had cinnamon roll and cream cheese but my favorite thus far is the bruschetta stick. It’s delicious. Stop on by for a fun and yummy treat.

Best coffee house for miles(and Starbucks is down the street) Kolache made from a sweet dough that lends to sweet and savory. Coffees of any kind, teas as well. Service is polite, but I miss the bearded fellow who was standup comedic. Go here, all seasons!

Great place! The breakfast kolaches and coffees are what I always come here for. The owners and employees are always super friendly. Quaint, relaxed little place to sit down and unwind a bit. The variety of coffees and teas are much better than *ahem* the other coffee shop down the block. The hours are a bit odd, but it doesn’t detract from how good this place is

Great place! We stopped in there for a quick breakfast a couple of weeks ago. This was my first time in there and I’ll be back! The soup was very warm and tasted like Grandma made it! Friendly and prompt service.

Stopped in on the weekend to support small business Saturday. We arrived at 1:30 pm and they were already out of their black bean soup and only had a few kolaches left. Cute interior, very cozy. However we did not find the service to be friendly and the artichoke/sundried tomato kolache was not memorable.

I’ve been going to Café Kolache since it opened and have never been disappointed(minus the rising prices). I stopped in the other day to treat myself before a very long and hectic day of work. The flavored coffee of the day was pumpkin spice. go figure, it’s fall. and it was really good! Also grabbed a pumpkin cream cheese kolache which was TODIEFOR. I’m a lover of most things pumpkin, but this may be one of my favorites. I could have easily ate more than one. If you get the chance, stop in before fall is over and get one!

I’m not a coffee drinker but I love all the kolache selections. I’ve attempted to try a new kolache every time I’ve gone. From egg sausage cheese to meatball and always a fruit filled dessert after, I never leave hungry. Their cinnamon rolls are very good as well and the multiple options of having pecans or raisins really adds just a little something extra. I’ve had a few Italian sodas here and they have tended to be hit or miss depending on how much of the syrups were used, but I won’t hold that against them. Their dessert mini kolache I had for my engagement party were life changing. Turtle kolache… nuff said. Highly recommend checking this out and getting a kolache!

This is one of my favorite places in Beaver County! The food is great and always something different. The coffee is the best in the county for sure! The service is beyond plesant, most the time entertaining and some times even educational! I have taken almost everyone I know to this place and have never heard anyone say anything but wonderful things! You can sit outside and people watch or better yet after I enjoy my food I always take a walk around the beautiful little town. This is on my list of places that everyone should try at least once!

This is a composite of a number of visits to Café Kolache over several years. As others note, the teas, coffees, soups and salads — always excellent. But my focus is on the«community» nature of the place. Intimate seating, a hangout place with wifi access, books and poetry on display, staff and management always friendly and engaged in the overall experience. Starbuck’s(yes, I go to Starbuck’s often…) just does not have this type of ambience. Located on the Main Street in Beaver at the eastern entry to the city. Side street and front parking — never had a problem regardless of time of day for on-street parking. If you can corner the owner, ask about the Kolache tradition and the development of this gentile light dining experience. f8 and be there.

Just a wonderful shop! If you’ve never gone, please go. The owners are incredibly welcoming, as are all of the staff I’ve ever encountered. The food is great, and recently they have made efforts to accommodate restrictive diets which is just fantastic, because if you’re a vegan or celiac or are lactose intolerant in this area, your options are sadly extremely limited! We have special ordered their nut roll for holiday celebrations, and we have tried most things they offer, and everything is worth the stop!

Best independent coffeehouse in Beaver County. Mouth-watering kolaches, amazing selection of loose leaf teas, variety of coffees for dine-in or beans to brew at home, soups, salads and super-convenient catering… must try! If you come on a Saturday morning, you’ll definitely see our family!

This used to be a great pit stop back when ever I was a youngster.(okay i’m still super young but it was 6 – 8 years ago) I can still remember the smell of the shop. aah, excuse me while i pause for the moment and reminisce. I adore their chai teas and their pastries are delicious. Growing up, every last one of my doctors offices were in Beaver. I’d always have my grandma stop in so that we could have a nice cup of chai tea and a pastry. I wasn’t a coffee drinker at age 15(thank goodness) so i cannot comment on the coffee. I guess I’ll have to make a trip here just to write an update! :D

Café Kolache: Putting a Unique Spin on a Czech Tradition If you’ve ever visited Burleson County, Texas you’ve probably eaten a Kolache. For those of you who are scratching your heads, Kolache are a favorite dessert for those of Czech heritage. It’s basically a slightly sweetened dough with a tasty dollop of filling(poppyseed, cheese, or fruit is traditional) that nests in the center. Texas is home to many with Czech roots due to immigration during the 1800s. If you can’t visit Texas any time soon, or Czechoslovakia for that matter, then it’s time to set your GPS for… Beaver, PA? That’s correct! Thanks to Kristi Harper, once a resident of Austin, Texas, we only need to take a leisure drive to enjoy sweet and savory treats at Café Kolache. We arrived to downtown Beaver on a sunny, summer afternoon and were tickled to see such a charming strip of shops and eateries! While there were several distractions on the way(antiques, jewelry, and shoes oh, my!), we were starving and decided to fill our bellies with Kolache first. It was of the luncheon hour and Café Kolache was brimming with patrons. While anxiously awaiting our turn to order at the counter, we were able to see the offerings of the day in the glass case. At first, my eyes were drawn to the traditional sweet-filled Kolache. There were blueberry and cheese still left for the taking. Next to those were the biggest, most scrumptious-looking cinnamon rolls. The gentleman at the counter informed me that the cinnamon rolls were made out of Kolache dough as well. Well, dessert was a no-brainer; we ordered one of each. To read my full review, including photos, please visit:
