I hate giving bad reviews, but I have never been sucessful at getting anything from this place. Here is my story… I was very excited to have a coffee shop in my town. But I have tried to stop several times in the mornings to get coffee and they are always closed. I am not sure what time they are open(seeing as there isn’t hours posted outside) but I know I have also tried to stop around(or right before) lunch time on a Saturday and they where still closed! I finally drove by and they where open one day! My daughter loves frozen coffee drinks, but they have to be decaf because I feel she is to young. Well they did not sell decaf drinks. So I was going to get my usual Americano and go get her some icecream or something some where else. But to my suprise they do not make americanos??? I asked if they had expresso(because that is all you need to make americanos, I make them at home) and they said yes, but either a) wouldn’t make them or b) didn’t know what they were. So feeling irritated and just wanting some coffee I asked if they had sugar free latte’s and again was told they don’t make anything sugar free. So being a type 1 diabetic I just politely said thanks but no thanks. There was seriously not one drink that me or my daughter could have that we normally enjoy. We are frequents to other local coffee shops, and never have a problem finding multiple things we like. My daughter is a junior high student and her and her friends LOVE coffee drinks. They post all their drinks on instagram and facebook! These kids walk all round down town and I really feel that this coffee shop is missing out on a large profit area by not having decaf. Also, what about the older people who cant drink caffine? And when the hours all seem to be evening hours, many people might not want caffine. I also understand that they make all their own syrups, and I am all for not buying processed crap, but maybe have a sugar free option for people who 100% can NOT have sugar.

I saw the review from Andrew, but I risked it anyway. Who knows, maybe it had just been an off day? No. Andrew was right. This is not a coffee shop to go to if you want that traditional coffeehouse vibe. The owner is indeed very talkative, so, as the other reviewer mentioned, you are not given a lot of time to sit and enjoy a book or pull out a laptop to work. Clean and there are even specialty crepes on the menu which sounded lovely, but when I go for coffee, I want to be able to enjoy my beverage in an environment that allows for book discussions or knitting groups or just nosing through a newspaper. The spontaneous amateur DJing of techno would be fantastic for some, but just not what I personally was anticipating. The prices are a little higher than Starbucks for many things due to them roasting the beans themselves I presume. Good enough, but not sure it’s worth the price considering the other local shops in the area. Overall, not a bad cup of coffee, but not sure the experience in general is one I could be convinced to repeat.
