Traveling is something I have to do often for work. When a few coworkers suggested we stop at this little gem of a place I was hesitant. It’s a dry county so they can’t serve alcohol but you could bring your own bottle so I agreed. Beaver is a cute little picturesque main street outside of Pittsburgh. Main street is lined with trees wrapped in white lights, very cute. Walk in and the dinning room is a warm, welcoming place. Very cool light fixtures hang from the ceiling and there is plenty of seating. The specials seem to be what is in season and fresh. The menu has a number of fun items including pork nacho’s — they were amazing. On this night several people ordered the steak special. A lion size steak! I did have a bite and it was full of flavor and tender. The only thing that I didn’t totally understand is they charge you an uncorking fee to open the bottle of wine you bought. That doesn’t make sense and I think $ 4 is a bit high. Other than that, when I’m in town again I will be stopping by — just with a bottle of wine that has a screw top. :)

The Heirloom Restaurant has been on our list, since it opened. We could not have been more dissappointed. I ordered the special English Broiled Cod offered as one of the chef’s specials. The cod was dry, over cooked, and had very little flavor. My wife did enjoy her Chicken Parmesian, but it was average. I did return the cod and the manager took it off the bill, but I was hoping to eat.

Great food and atmosphere. My friend has restrictive dietary needs. They were helpful and took the time to explain the different dishes. Their menu and waitress were very accommodating. Very enjoyable experience.

This is a very good restaurant for the area. The food is freshly prepared and the ambiance is inviting. All the same, it’s lacking some creativity. I was impressed that it’s good, just wished it had been great. For example, the cheese board was very plain, nothing very exciting or artisan: cheddar, Asiago and Fontinella. No goats milk or blue.

I went to Heirloom on a recommendation of a friend. I was in town with siblings and we just wanted a nice meal not too fancy. We ordered the chips and they were good though I recommend trying to serve them hot I think they would be better. The bread served was okay and my meal was okay I had the Chicken Romano. The others ordered the baked cod which was lets just say less than good. The green bean sides were sorely undercooked and were green beans that were left on the vines too long and rather tough. The most annoying thing has to be the three flies we had to shoo from our food while we were eating . I was extremely disappointed in the restaurant overall with the physical plant and the cuisine. I am always amazed that servers always ask you about your food when you have a good meal but never seem to ask you when you have a bad one. We all went away disappointed and will not likely return. Perhaps it was the Thursday cook idk.

I’ve had 2 bad experienced out of 2 times being there so needless to say I will not return. I gave them the benefit of the doubt returning and shouldn’t have. The food has the potential to be great but wasn’t. The first time had seafood risotto and it had she’ll through it which was so unpleasant to try and eat. The next time I ordered the pasta bc how can that go wrong. The flavor was good but I added chicken and got literally 1 little piece of chicken in it and it was $ 5 to add chicken!

The Heirloom Restaurant location has had many names. My partner and I had dinner(1st time) and really enjoyed the restaurant. The salmon with strawberries was flaky and tender with a sweet/sour glaze. The BQ ribs were hot, nicely smoked and fell off the bones. Salads plentiful and unique. Rolls were cold, but with a delicious dipping oil. Peach bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream was a perfect ending. Our waiter Toby was efficient, knowledgeable and is a good representation of the restaurant. I agree with a previous reviewer; nice buildout of the space, but the carpet is pretty nasty. We will definitely return.

My husband and I went to Heirloom this evening for dinner. We both had the Wedge Salad. his had blu cheese crumbles and dressing. Mine was with the ranch dressing. The bacon pieces add a nice flavor to the salad. I had the Chicken Parm with penne pasta. Very tastey and the sauce was excellent. My husband had the Fried Cod with fries. One of his favorite dinners on their menu. No dessert for us tonight as we were both too full. I would have to say this is the best place in Beaver to eat.

Good dinner. I ordered the crabcakes which came with their daily starch and vegetables(mashed potatoes and broccoli). Crab cakes were decent. Smelled a big«seafoody» but the sauce made it. This restaurant uses local ingredients which is hard to find in Pittsburgh. I’d return.

Heirloom used to be Levanti’s, which suffered its demise after Chef Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares. This place is no longer a nightmare, but the carpet hails from those sordid times. First impressions are important, and this filthy carpet makes me want to clean my shoes before I get back in my car. The tables are painted with thick gloss, so the waitstaff can spray clean with disinfectant between customers, not fine dining, more diner technique. Our waitress, although sweet, was a bundle of nerves. I think she may never have eaten in a place this nice. The salmon crostini appetizer was devoid of flavor. Perfect for someone who doesn’t eat seafood.(Our waitress did not, she told us.)(She was pleasant, but in need of training. The menu is very limited, and she didn’t know it.) The buffalo chicken salad was more fried potato salad. The waitress forgot the dressing, «I didn’t know your food came out.» Uninspired. Now the Cioppino seafood stew was worth the price. Different fish all cooked together well with just the right amount of seasoning. Espresso crème brûlée was very good. This place is ok at best. It was pleasant.

Where do you start?! Literally. I could order everything on the menu, every visit… TWICE. All the appetizers are amazing. My bf and I will sometimes just go and order three or four apps as our meals… It’s BYOB… awesome. Soups are great. Love the wedge salad. Twin Filets never let you down. The pastas are always done to perfection… and the desserts??? Awesome. Can’t say anything bad and wish I could say more good. Definitely worth the visit. Also, portion sizes are pefect. I don’t need a pound of pasta for $ 25 so I can take home the leftovers and let them go bad in the frig. A regular, perfect, portion for $ 15-$ 20 is much better! And I love that everything is clean and locally sourced. Fresh, local, and made with love. This is how real modern day restaurants are. Congrats Heirloom for helping bring Beaver County up to speed. *Side note: after reading another review on here calling the place«awful» because the air conditioner was broken and grill hoods were down? Shame on you. You give better reviews to places I wouldn’t feed my dog from, and then can’t be understanding of something out of their control for a place with delicious local food? Blah. Go review another crappy pizza place and leave the local mom and pop places alone.

This place is fantastic. It is BYOB so bring your favorite bottle of wine or better yet, get a wine locker like I did and keep it there! Creative menu and wonderful owners who truly care about your experience. Great attention to detail. Nice atmosphere! Try it!

While I had heard vastly differing critiques of Heirloom– from awesome to awful– after my first visit, I have to side with the latter. Granted, my experience may be unusual: the air conditioning at the restaurant had broken on the same day that their kitchen hoods had a meltdown. When we entered on a ridiculously muggy day, it was 10 – 15 degrees warmer than on the street. Even the hosts at the entrance were fanning themselves as they awaited new arrivals. The one ingratiating part was the friendly and patient male server, who apologized profusely for the situation and was very attentive throughout the meal. The house chips were average at best, and the sour cream and scallion dip was decent. The bacon crostini was delicious, but at $ 10 for a few slices of bacon and some cucumber, I would steer clear. I ordered an entrée special– fresh wahoo on ramen with lemongrass broth. Regardless of how ‘fresh’ the wahoo once was, it was was absurdly overdone, and remained unenticingly dry – even in a soup. The ramen was spot-on in texture, but lacked even a hint of lemongrass, and instead reminded me of watered down Swansons chicken broth. Prices are far too high for the mediocre quality. Any establishment looking for notoriety would have offered a dessert or app on the house, due to the unbearable lack of air conditioning. Instead, they overcharged us by billing a corkage fee to a guest who explicitly requested no glass. Maybe the location is cursed, but this quaint corner property in Beaver certainly has a knack for horrible food. Absolutely terrible in all regards. Two stars is a gift.

Ate here on Saturday night a couple weeks ago after waiting and waiting to be seated at Mario’s. Was so pleasantly surprised by the food and service. We explained to the waiter that we were in a hurry to get to the Beaver play(which was excellent, btw), and he made sure our food was rushed. I ordered the bison burger sliders, which came with sweet pickled banana peppers. So delicious, so not Beaver County. My son said the flatbread was very good, as good as anything at Mario’s. The only drawback is the cheap Chef Ramsey décor. Maybe success will bring some upgrades?

Enjoyed a nice quiet lunch. Buffalo burger sliders with homemade potato chips. Just enough for lunch. Pleasant greeter and waitress. Reasonably priced. Good iced tea as well.

The food is excellent. We were here for New Year’s Eve, and they seemed to have been a little ambitious with their menu. The kitchen was considerably behind, and the server was stressed but very nice. That being said, the for was FANTASTIC. The mini cornbreads were slightly different from the usual, extremely tasty and soft. Pretzels and beer cheese were tasty. The salads were good and fresh. But the star was the entrée course. It took 2 hours to get our entrees, but they were served hot. The braised short ribs were tender, cooked perfectly, and quite tasty. The lobster tail was awesome, and even was served fluffed in the shell. I’m not usually a fan of chicken, but the champagne and butter chicken may have been my favorite dish of the night. I hope next major holiday they pare down the menu to a slightly less ambitious one, because they have a lot of talent in the kitchen.

Great place in the town of Beaver. We started with the cheese board with the wine we brought. I had the salmon special which was great. Other people had pasta, crab cakes all was good. Food is good, service is good. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

We stopped in here with my in-laws while trying to find somewhere new to try. The atmosphere is pleasant and warm, very cozy! We ordered the soft pretzel sticks as an appetizer, and they were wonderful. Warm, soft, served with a spicy mustard and an amazing beer cheese. We were also given a large plate of dinner breads with a tasty oil and vinegar reduction for dipping. We ordered the grilled cheese and fries for my four year old, and they were quick to bring this out for him to keep him placated. Others ordered a short rib special with purple carrots and Yukon gold mashed potatoes, chicken parmesan over fettuccine, pulled pork with green beans and mashed potatoes. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. The food was absolutely amazing. My salad was full of fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, juicy chicken, their amazing french fries, and cheddar cheese. I was extremely pleased with all aspects of the meal. Everyone else also remarked on how delicious their food was. Portion sizes were so large that we had enough to bring home for a meal the next day. I will definitely be returning here, and I encourage you to give it a try!

I found out about Heirloom only yesterday after trying to uncover new eateries in this part of Pennsylvania when I knew that Kay and I would be in the area over the weekend. Craving barbeque, we were disappointed to find that our first choice, New Brighton’s Pigs-2-Peaches, was closed temporarily(according to a sign, the owners are still on vacation), but when I saw pork belly and other such porcine offerings on Heirloom’s internet menu, a quick decision was made to head to Beaver for what we hoped would be a satisfying dinner. While not at a utter failure, much of our meal was simply lacking in culinary verve. I left feeling cheated, especially after having studied the bill of fare closely that I basically knew what I wanted to order before we arrived. The restaurant’s name, Heirloom, conjures an opulently gourmet sense of tradition yet features fare that is squarely New American with an Italian influence despite the restaurant’s claim that their cuisine is «Modern European.» Here, crabcakes, burgers, and tacos co-exist with Chicken Marsala, linguine, and penne. The tapas were so intriguing and reasonably priced(along with everything else on the card) that we ordered 2 of them: Crab Tostadas and the Kitchen Chips. The tostadas(there are 3 per order) were only acceptably appetizing and consisted of disc-shaped tortilla chips that were topped with lump crab meat, avocado slices, lime, cilantro, and diced tomato. Poorly constructed, an initial chomp resulted in the bulk of one chip ending up on the carpet. Fortunately, the crabmeat and avocado landed on my plate and were scooped up with a potato chip. Nonetheless, I kept pining for Old Bay, a citrus, or some other such essence to make the dish friskier(riskier?). Even the cilantro was a timid bystander. The potato chips, called Kitchen Chips by Heirloom, were the surprising highpoint of the meal. Served in a titanic portion fit for a bar full of Steelers fans during an important game(only $ 5!), the thick(another surprise), cast iron-crisp tater slivers themselves were dusted with an interesting mystery seasoning that included perhaps celery salt(?) and onion powder(so swears the lady), but even this small plate had a downside in the roasted shallot sour cream dip. As a chip ‘n dip addict since boyhood, I can candidly say that I’ve had much better dips that were storebought and originated from local dairies. The roasted shallots added some mild sweetness, but aside from that, all flavor was absent. Even the sour cream itself was without a single twanging note. I’m curious to know if the sour cream Heirloom uses is made in-house or purchased elsewhere, because what we were served was almost dead. Just a pinch of kosher salt or a splash of lime juice might’ve helped. My «3 Little Pigs» entrée was a letdown as soon as plate touched table. On the menu, it states that a portion includes pork belly along with baby back ribs and pulled pork, but I was given strips of bacon instead of pork belly with no explanation! Now, the bacon was very good as were the properly fragile ribs, which got better as I munched along, revealing ample smoke ring and fatty flavor, yet despite the promise that the pork was smoked on the premises, I tasted almost none of that in any of the proteins, including the pulled pork, which while assertively seasoned, was a bit watery, as if it had been sitting in a crock pot for a bit prior to service. A rich, molasses-sweet, and pomegranate-tangy barbeque sauce was drizzled artfully over the ribs and pulled pork. A golden mound of close to perfect mashed potatoes was the lone side dish, and that brings me to another gripe I have: There was no vegetable to accompany my meal! A small house salad was all I needed. I s’pose I shoulda shelled out $ 4 for another good menu read(everything pretty much read better than it tasted) in the wedge salad. Dessert for me was a peculiar twist on German Chocolate Cake. Longing for a hefty wedge of fudgy excess, I was instead given something that was more like a small loaf of zucchini or banana nut bread infused with coconut shavings and cocoa powder and frosted with that trademark yellow pecan-pebbled glaze(it would go well with pancakes). While somewhat dry, this would not be an entirely unwelcome ending to a light brunch, but if you’re looking for a spectacular finale to your supper, move along. The service was admissible, even if it took our server a while to get around to boxing up our leftovers. To boot, the soft drinks were watery and weren’t properly effervescent. Furthermore, for a restaurant that prides itself on being contemporary, the dim lighting and the sparse brown décor gave the place a vaguely eerie vibe, like attending a funeral wake on Halloween after midnight. Heirloom needs to turn the volume up if it wants my repeat business. I.E. Season that food, brighten up the interiors, and use some culinary wit. P. S. Heirloom used to be Levanti’s.

Went again tonight with group of friends. We all tried something different, even appetizers and desserts. It was excellent. Everyone was very pleased. We were impressed that the quality was not only consistent, but the desserts actually improved. And says a lot as they were excellent before. This spot is a bit out of the way, but easy to find on the Main Street in Beaver. Worth trying for certain.
