Great place to get a sandwich. Here’s a warning: for a dollar more you can go up in size, there so much goodness inside you’ll be tempted. But a small was big enough for me. My first time in Dayton and I had to go back. My first sandwich was Philly Chicken with the works — it was really good. I got it on the whole grain bread. Nice and crusty, nothing wimpy here. The next day I got the godfather — really a great sandwich. Don’t forget the Macadamia Nut cookie. Goooy delicious. If your not been — you’re missing out.

I love hot ham and cheese subs so headed to this place for one of my staples. Sub was good! It would be even better if the bread was crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle. The bread is more like a soft pretzel without the salt. The only reason I am rating this 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the service. When I walked in, I waited several minutes before being helped(almost walked out) and the place was empty. There was one person on the phone and two more sitting at one of the tables doing their own thing. Another came out of the back just in time for me to pay. The one that was on the phone was the one that ended up helping me. She may have been the only responsible one that worked there at that moment.

This place makes a great sub. I find The small is enough for lunch. The large is way too much food for lunch. I eat here at least once a week and it’s always good.

I never really subway and this place blows subway out of the water. The meat detection is amazing, the toppings and plenty to choose from. The bread is amazing. I got a small godfather sub sandwich but it was a big enough to where I could of shared. One of the best sandwiches I had in a long time. Definitely will go back

Flavor is there, but it’s just too much bread for me! The guys I went with loved their 14″ subs, but even a 6″ was too much for one sitting. Staff is very friendly and great for a quick lunch!

Came here for lunch during the week and I’m glad I did! Food: Ordered a medium cheese steak sub(melted cheese, onions, green pepper) with freshly baked multi-grain bread and it was nom nom good! Their portions are huge for a really good price — a medium sub for $ 7! I only ate half and saved the other half for dinner. Next time I’m getting a small. Service: Friendly staff and they deliver your food to the table if you eat in. Would definitely come back again and try more items on their menu! Note: They give a 10% military discount! :)

I got burnt out on DiBellas for a while and took a break and recently came back to my regular Saturday lunch here. Things had been going well but have progressively gone downhill. Last weekend I went with three other people and we took it to go. I order the same thing every week with very few extras on it and opened up my sandwich to find onion on it, which is probably the worst thing they could’ve accidentally put on it because I can’t stand onions. What’s sad is I’m pretty sure the manager made my sandwich. No one else’s sandwich who I ordered with was wrong, just mine. I didn’t make a big deal out of it because we were already all the way home and just picked off the onions. Fast forward a week to today. Went in again with my same group, ordered in the restaurant, and took it to go. Came home to find my sandwich was totally wrong. Not even close to what I ordered. Wrong meat, no cheese. I order a salami and cheese, with as I said, very little extras. How can you screw that up? Not once, but twice in two weeks. And once again, no one else’s order who I ordered with was wrong, and they had much more complicated orders with stuff on one half, but not the other, etc. Why even bother asking and writing down what I want on my sandwich when they just throw whatever the heck they want on it with no regard for what I ordered? I am sorely disappointed. Maybe it’s time for me to take another break and go back to Jersey Mike’s instead.

This place was great. It was really dead when I went in there so I was concerned that the locals knew something that I didn’t. But once the staff was friendly and very helpful. The suggested the godfather sandwich so I go a godfather and a cheese steak sandwich. The godfather was awesome. I definitely recommend that sandwich. If you are around you should stop in and check the place out.

We came for lunch based on Unilocal reviews, it’s a very busy and popular place. Everything was clean and organized, staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. Cold subs are made while you’re at the counter and hot subs are delivered to your table, rather quickly after paying. I ordered the buffalo chicken sub with ranch and American cheese. The Bread was soft/chewy & delish, ranch, buffalo, and cheese where great… but that’s where it ends. The menu says«all white meat chicken»…and they mean the color, not the consistency. It’s strips of pre-formed chicken by-product with lots of fat/jelly pieces throughout… very gross & Inedible. I paid $ 10.40 for small sub, chips, & drink. For that price you could easily use real chicken breast and still make a profit. If not, I would happily pay $ 2 extra to have real meat. Other folks in our group enjoyed their meal, the Italian sub looked great. I gave 2 stars for the clean facility and friendly staff. I’ll be back to try something different and update my review.

Just about everything I’ve ordered here has been terrific. The bread is fresh and very consistent. Meats are always fresh, carefully assembled to your order on a hot grill if you so desire. Not sure what previous reviewers are complaining about — the staff here is always very friendly and take a lot of pride in their work. Why not try to strike up a conversation and ask for recommendations — it breaks the ice, several of the workers will contribute to the collaboration in finding out what exactly you want. Then they will make it with utmost perfection just for you. The restaurant is clean, apparently well managed. The people who work here are constantly busy prepping, cleaning or working with customers. Service is quick and there’s a dining room if you prefer to eat in. A few things to feel good about — this restaurant donates unused bread to a local shelter the next day. They also provide box lunches to the US Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment.

The ordering process is a little confusing. Lots of signage to TRY to keep you on track but still convoluted compared to normal ordering standards. I love HOT subs like Penn Station so this place is my groove. I got the Cowboy on Everything Bread and it was delicious! I got a small and it was more than enough to fill me up(they make them meaty!). Their cookies are fantastic! Cute environment and 30’s styling and big band music. I like this dive a lot!

Stopped here on a whim. The place was appealing but the food fell short. The cheesesteak turned out to be ground beef with a smidgen of cheese. We requested peppers and onions. They were barely visible, being diced and meager in amount. They gave us the wrong bread and it was really too soft for a proper sub. Next time either Jimmy John’s or Penn Station will be our choice instead. Step up the quality and we might be back, otherwise no thanks.

My friend spoke quite highly of this place, but I’d prefer Penn Station next time. I ordered the Godfather. I mean, it was alright… but it didn’t blow me out of the water. There wasn’t much to be said about the customer service. I didn’t have a negative experience, but there was not an ounce of enthusiasm among the staff.

great deli sandwiches. They are large enough to share. the seasalt chips are super cruchy. I like the«everything» bread. I used to like subway … until i tried these.

This place is pretty good and a nice addition to the area. The subs are gigantic so if you’re just ordering for yourself, it’s probably better to go with the smaller size. There are plenty of options of meats and toppings and the two subs I have tried have been delicious. It is a bit pricey and the reason I gave it four stars is because the cookies and side salads are terrible. The cookies were stale and the potato salad I picked was not very good at all so you won’t go wrong by skipping them. Also their chip selection is kinda lame. They have like 2 or 3 choices. I wish we had a Jimmy John’s up here in Beavercreek instead, but this is fine.

The atmosphere gets 5 stars. New, clean, modern and spacious. I liked everything. Two things fell short for me: customer service and the food. I ordered the french dip and my bread did not hold up to the au jus, by the time I sat down to eat it was already a soggy mess. I ordered mine with cheese and onions to my surprise the cheese wasn’t melted and the onions were not grilled.(If there is a next time, I will request this). It wasn’t bad but nothing to ‘write home’ about. The service was confusing. There was no one ahead of us and just a couple behind us.(sidenote: Jack Atherton our local FOX/ABC primetime anochor was waiting!) All 3 of the employees at one point attended to us, neither of which really knowing which point in the process of ordering we were at. It took about 10 minutes to get our food after ordering. We even had to go out of our way to pay because no one had realized we hadn’t even after our food had been given to us. If your into subs I’d give it a try! I’ll probably go to Penn Station next time I want a sub.

Some friends and I were looking for a place to eat that would satisfy various food cravings and dietary restrictions. Sandwiches are always a good safe bet and this place looked pretty good. The service was friendly, the food was good, and the atmosphere was nice. Only got to go there once but we were all glad that we did. I got the cheesesteak(or at least the Dayton equivalent) with peppers and onions on it. I have to say I was a little disappointed that the only hot sauce they had was Frank’s Red Hot(which wasn’t really that hot). But hey… Ohio is pretty bland so maybe Frank’s is like a wild and crazy party in your mouth to a buckeye. I don’t really feel like I can give them 4 stars because we went their only once but everyone seemed happy with the food that they got. So I guess 3.5 stars would be a better rating(hint, hint Unilocal!).

I really like DiBella’s and am so thrilled that they are now in our ‘hood. The customer service is wonderful and although the staff is young, they are very professional and courteous. The quality of the food is pretty darn good. I like the Godfather and the Dagwood. Try the Dagwood with spicy ham instead of regular ham. My husband started ordering that way and once you try it you will never go back to the boring old Dagwood. He takes total credit it for this amazing discovery and is likely going to petition the company to get the sandwich named after him… that is a whole ‘nether story though. The restaurant is clean and spacious and has tons of parking. Drawbacks? I was not in love with anything other than their subs. Cookies are so-so and I didn’t care for the potato salad. The pickle was pretty good. Stick with that. If you are getting a grilled sub make sure you allow plenty of time because you will not be in and out like a Subway. Good food takes time and their grilled subs are worth the wait… trust me ;-)

Like most, I saw the place go up and was curious to try. Finally I made a stop for lunch this past week. I walked in and liked the atmosphere. It is absolutely packed during the work-week lunch hour, but seats opened up quickly. I ordered the Godfather, asking and then being told it was the closest thing to an Italian sub. It was okay. I wanted to like it so much and it looked good, but I couldn’t seem to taste the meat, and there was plenty of it. The bread was good though. I told someone who asked that I could get a different kind of sub of the same quality at Subway for $ 5 and enjoy it just as much.
