There is absolutely nothing bad that I can say about this Discount Tire. I can honestly say that this was the best experience I’ve ever had with the auto parts/​repair industry, which I feel is a big deal because I’ve had many unfortunate experiences with this industry in the past.
Anyway, I ordered a set of four Michelin Defenders online and was contacted about 12 hours later, by a lovely gentleman named Andrew, letting me know they had arrived. This was surprising – and brilliant– to me because the website listed these tyres as special order so I was expecting to be waiting until next week at the earliest.
I arrived at the store at about 1515 and the next brilliant part of my experience happened. When I got out of the car a member of staff was already walking to me to get business started. This is the first time I’ve ever been met in the car park by an employee in any sector of the auto industry who actually seemed intent on helping me and not taking advantage of me. By 1520 our car was already in getting taken care of, and so I sat observing the staff dealing with other customers and realised that everyone was getting treated equally and as brilliantly as I was. Seriously, this experience proved to me that quality customer service isn’t quite extinct yet. Absolutely brilliant!
Next amazing super brill thing to happen was our car being finished in less than 40 minutes! It took about 35 minutes to remove the old tyres, rebuild the pressure sensors, and put on the new tyres. O_​O What? Truly unbelievable to me given that all of my previous tyre buying experiences involved wait times of at least an hour and a half at Discount Tire competitors.
Michelin Defenders are not a cheap tyre. They are a 90 000-​mile tyre with a 6-​year manufacturer warranty. They usually retail for about $ 110 per tyre with an out-​the-​door price of closer to $ 650 – which is what I’m used to spending for them elsewhere. Somehow, as if by magic, this Discount Tire set me up with an out-​the-​door price of $ 511. BRILLIANT!!! But it should have been $ 32 more, which leads me to the final amazingly brill thing about this experience…
Andrew and I had just completed the sale as the service technician was bringing in some paperwork and this technician – I’m sorry but I can’t recall his name – asks Andrew if he got the tyre pressure sensor rebuilds on the invoice. They were indeed missing from the invoice. I asked what they were and Andrew explained about the tyre pressure sensors and that they’re $ 8 per tyre and then came the last truly amazing bit. Andrew looked at me and told me ‘don’t worry about it.’ I was ready and willing to get my wallet back out so I asked if he was sure, and he was definitely sure. I couldn’t believe it. I realise now that it’s possible he thought that $ 32 was going to ensure I return to his store for auto needs, and I wonder if he’d have let that $ 32 go if he had known I was already sold on being a repeat customer before I even paid the bill. Regardless, it was an amazing gesture that I won’t forget and was a perfect end to a perfect experience.

I had a nail in my tire that needed to get removed right away. As soon as I pulled up, there were two attendants ready to get my info and pull my car around to the garage. The service was fast, free and the customer service was extremely on point! I would not consider going to anyone else in the future.
