Happy hour here, I salute you. The food menu for the happy hour was pretty disappointing. There really wasn’t that much on there but what I did get I was satisfied with. When it comes to value for your dollar, I think The Pub actually gets it. I got my beer for half off and 3 happy hour food items for $ 12 total. All in all a good place and the waitress was super friendly, funny, and attentive. I could do without super short skirts but I guess that’s just the sort of atmosphere for the restaurant?

Ordered Fish&Chips — the beer battered was very moist and flaky as well as tasty. The fried potato chips were fried to perfection — crispy outer and a touch moist in the center. The Cole Slaw was creamy with a slight tang to it, the shredded cabbage carrot were crisp and fresh. I paired this meal with a pint of Crispin Cider. I was disappointed in that I was not able find a beer I have not had from The Pub’s impressive beer selection. The meal menu selection is wide and will satisfy the picky eater.

We got there on a Saturday, got seated right away. Had a great waitress, was quick with drinks and she checked back with us often. The food was very good and came out in a reasonable time, we will be back.

We came in tonight and sat on the patio. I regret not catching our servers name but she went above and beyond for us. My husband has diabetes and his sugar was extremely low when we came in. She ran and got him a banana and a coke. And kept up on him until our food came out. I appreciated it so much! She is a wonderful person and is awesome at her job! The food was great and it was so nice to sit on the patio and watch the storm. We will definitely return.

Just here for the day. I had the slider appetizer for my entrée. Very yummy. One of the people at my table had the house specialty Shepherd’s pie. I got to try it. The portion of the shepherd’s pie was really reasonable and really delicious! Service was very good, too. I would love to visit again next time I’m in town.

I have been here at least a dozen times. I can honestly say, not once would I say it was good. I have had very poor to average service here. It is never great or outstanding. The food is mediocre at best. It is way overpriced for what you get. I would never pick this place myself but have met friends there.

I love the atmosphere here. Can’t wait to come back and sit at the bar. We enjoyed the shephard’s pie and the ham and cheese sandwich on a pretzel bun. Both were great. Friendly staff too.

I love this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food here is fantastic. I recommend the Pub Sliders, Fried Pickles, and Shepard’s Pie. They have a really good whiskey/scotch/and beer selection. Joe the bartender was highly efficient in helping us make selections and fast to refill our drinks. Geneva the other bartender was also quite helpful. I will be coming back for sure.

Food was — ok! The wasabi shrimp was delicious, grilled salmon with tasteful but the service pretty. Other than that, had a nice time

I went here on a Monday night with a bunch of coworker’s for trivia night and won a free pint during their raffle. The wait staff was super accommodating to fit our entire group of over sixteen of us and seated is in the back. The atmosphere was super casual and –as the name suggests– pubby. The food was great. I highly recommend their shepherd’s pie and fried pickles! They have a huge selection of beer and I recommend the Breckenridge Vanilla brew if you’re feeling in the mood for a dark beer that’s a little sweet but not overpowering Fun environment and great food and beer– what’s not to love? Will be back!

BRINGBACKBACONWRAPPEDDATES! What is wrong with you guys?! You bring that appetizer back to your menu and I’ll give you 5 stars again. But until that happens…: You don’t just go and take away a guy’s bacon wrapped dates. That was really, low. Broke my heart: c

I am very disappointed with this establishment. I have always loved the food since I came here the first time years ago. I still do. But the very poor service we received tonight definitely makes me want to look elsewhere for similar food. We came today, on a Friday night. I understand that it’s a little busy… but I’ve worked at several restaurants and am a waitress currently. We were seated shortly after requesting a table, and Danielle appeared to take our drink order. We placed an appetizer and then were about place our entrées(as she prompted us) but then she just left, as I was talking. Okay… I thought I was imagining this strange service, but then my boyfriend said something about how unimpressive she was as a waitress. And I’ve never heard him say that. We went a while without silverware and napkins… but I suppose that’s forgivable in usual circumstances… considering if the waitress is actually attentive to the table. It was as if she wasn’t in tune to the usual table checks waitresses are supposed to make. Perfect example… our table is cleared of food and she just walks by, asks if everything is okay, and then walks off… until I flag her down and ask for the check. Isn’t that common sense? She didn’t ask if we want any dessert or our check… she just left. I was going to order dessert, but by that time I realized I didn’t want to bother with it. I was also going to request a box… but she whisked away my plate without asking. The strangest part about this experience is that she checked on us a couple times… but it wasn’t really followed through. It’s not that she completely neglected our table… it’s just as if she was faking the prompts. She’d ask if we were okay and then she’d run off out of earshot as we answered her. Honestly, the woman that filled our water gave us better service. The greeters at the door aren’t very impressive either. There might be a small minority in here that believe in pleasantries and customer service… but I didn’t witness it tonight. The food is good, yes, but this particular night server was awful. I’ve been in the early afternoon and it’s been pleasant. Perhaps that’s when the service is better. Pros: –The goat cheese dip is divine –The burgers are decent… but not worth $ 12. I can better burgers elsewhere for that price. Cons: –Half-assed waitressing –Poor table management –Lack of ability to tell what stage a table’s in This is the first time in a while I haven’t left at least 20% as a tip. Honestly, I didn’t even want to leave $ 6. Maybe you’re all having a terrible shift. But maybe this is also the last time we come back to this place.

This pub is nice, the sign of a good pub is a crowded pub! The staff is cool and fun here. I ordered the Shepherd’s Pie with the accent salad. My Shepherd’s Pie was pretty good! I chased it down with a sweet tea. The pub is definitely in a good spot; however if you cant find parking in the lot behind the pub, you will have to park in the main parking area and walk, usually parking close by is hard to get.

I found The Pub when I found The Greene Town center shopping center… and I am glad I did. Went there last night, and enjoyed great service, a Scotch Egg, a nicely portioned fish & chips(Haddock filet), and a pint of Smithwicks(on draught.) Guess I’m not much of a fan of scotch Eggs, but the F&C was good, and always love my fave Smithwicks. The service was excellent, and the interior of the place was real cute… great decorations, and an outstanding traditional British bar. Very authentic looking… would love something like that in my rec room downstairs! I’ve turned this restaurant on to my consulting team here in Dayton, and I am sure they’ll patronize The Pub soon(if not tonight?) A bit on the noisy side… but hey, its a pub. Amongst the many flat screen TVs, I even found a flat screen TV that had a Rugby League( ) match playing between the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and the South Sydney Rabbitohs. If you think regular 15 man Rugby(Union) games are rough, you outta’ watch 13-man Rugby league games out of Australia! Sheesh. I’ve be back for the food and the beer(and the Rugby!)

Fabulous service! Thanks Mike G & Libby for your reviews steering us to the right place to go on our short day trip. Went out to Dayton to pick up a certain limited edition Playstation which could only be found in Dayton. Hungry kiddo, irritated mommy who was not driving. Perfect stop? The Irish pub close by with bad reviews from our friends? No way, not when there was a British pub one exit away. Gorgeous patio, zero wait, awesome drinks, appetizer suggestion by our waitress was perfect. After a wine flight, I knew which wine to order there, nice and dry. The Shepherd’s pie half order was just right for me, didn’t need anything more and did not leave stuffed. Kiddo loved his mini burgers(with beer cheese dip), we left happy and satisfied, perfect end to a great day trip!

This place was ok… Nothing great about it. Typical«Brit style bar». I ordered the pecan salad and it was drenched in the dressing, which I asked to be put off to the side. The chicken wings though we’re delicious! Dirty martini was a dirty martini, nothing special about it. Our waitress was attentive and nice, but felt pressured to drink or buy more food/drinks. So that was annoying. But the mall area here was nice! So that’s a plus!

Always love going here. Only waited once to be seated, rarely more than 15 minutes to get my first beer and food, and the staff is always friendly. Just be aware: if you want a quiet, romantic atmosphere, this isn’t it(probably). It’s energetic, fun, and… unsurprisingly… quite loud. I recommend the Young’s BBQ crisps and a Blacksmith(Guiness and Smithwick) to start, and then bangers and mash for the main course.

The Pub is one of my favorite spots at the Greene. Walking in, you feel as if you have left the US& stepped into the UK. They always have an excellent beer selection & I have never had disappointing food. The Pub does so much right!
